Alright. So normally I don't do realism. I... Just don't. I'm typically not that great with it. Of course, there was a logo contest in band class. So I snatched a photo of a bobcat (our school's mascot) off the interweb.

Final

Of course, I ended up forgetting the picture by the computer.

That was the end for a while. But while doodling a sleeping fox during study hall, I realized I had seen a picture like it. So I dug through Google for the picture, and although I didn't find the right one, I was motivated to try making a realistic picture from it.

I liked how it came out. It led to a rabbit a few days later. Then I asked some friends whether I should draw and Ethiopian wolf or a cougar. Well, they all said cougar.

Bad-quality final

Didn't have the scanner at the time, so it's a photo (taken on Photo Booth xD). I drew the Ethiopian wolf, too.

Final

At this point I don't think the rabbit will be scanned on (it's all smudged up and crinkled), but that's all the realistic art I have now. I've gotten quite into it, and I've decided to post the realism here for more opinions. =)

The sleeping fox! It is adorable! It's just... curled up and sleeping and I just want to cuddle it and play with its tail XD

It's very nicely done and I like how you've colored it with those pencils. You've done it in a way that at some points the colors blur together and make a new color, working really well with the undertone you've put in.

The cougar one looks a bit too... static. Too straight and rigid like it doesn't have any flow in it. Not sure how I'd fix that, maybe something with the perspective or the middle looking to straight with no real smooth lines? I don't think I'm making sense now so I'll stop there XD
I'd agree with you comment on adding a bit more brown, from what I remember of seeing a cougar (i think it was a cougar) they seemed more tan than orange.

For the Ethiopian Wold... maybe its the muzzle but it does give it a foxish appearance. The only thing I'd point out is the right hindleg does look too small. Not that I'd know but to my eyes I can't picture it standing on that leg properly.

But good stuff over all! You have a good technique with coloring in pencil ^_^
