ok I've been meaning to make this thread for...... years?
LOL!

So I have a LOT of drawings I'd like to share. some zelda related, some not. should I make one thread for zelda and one for non zelda art?

for now, most of my art is still at home in my sketchbooks, so I only have a couple things available to post at the moment. over the next couple of weeks, I'll be scanning in more and more, so this thread will be the "everything" dumpy thread.

please keep in mind that these first few pieces are WAY more silly and rudimentary than my other stuff, this is just what i have now. you can critique if you like, but these doodles are just that- doodles.

some doodles I did at work while bored:


The "present" I did for Kika in the Nayru secret santa. please note, I didn't draw this, only photoshopped it onto the background. and believe me, it was no small task. until this, I had never even SEEN photoshop, let alone used it. this was all trial and error:

A silly "ornament" I made the first year I was a member, at christmas time there was an ornament contest. I knew this wouldn't win but it was fun to make anyway :


that's all for now, but trust me, I have LOTS more, mostly pencil drawings, that I'll be sharing, and they are "real" drawings!

Deity's buddy Margar has done good. Deity likes the Zora and Fishing rod drawing, it is nice says Deity. Deity says to keep on making more.

YAY I uploaded more. there's tons of stuff, but I'll feed it to you all slowly. so here are a few more.
This is a self-portrait from 1998. 10 years ago... wow that's crazy that this is so old... That would make me... 14 at the time!!


a weird sketch about everything and nothing. it's quite old, too.

UPDATES PPLZ!
One I did of Link and Ruto (they're seperate sketches on the same page, not supposed to be a scene of the two). I did this back in '99, when I was playing Oot for the first time. obviously, I found it inspiring. I did this by looking and copying, not tracing, just to be clear.

Looking and copying is an excellent strategy, I think. It makes you more skilled after a while.

I think your doodles are adorable, especially the Kill Mr. Smily one =3

I don't get what these drawings have to do with my avatar... care to explain?
and thanks 4 the compliments. actually, I don't think loking and copying is aas good as studying anatomy, because anatomy and perspective training help better than just drawing a copy of what you see. if you want to be able to draw freehand, you need to be able to do more than just copy.

I'm out of practice with drawing. these are all old pics....
I can only draw now on rare occasions when talent rises up...

But drawing and copying is a good way to study anatomy. Anyway, it's helped me a lot.
Anyway, your more sadistic pictures, like the whole Kill Mr Smily thing... I finally realised that the Zora in your avatar is receiving an electric shock.

It's just supposed to be "frazz lines" you know, lik he's supposed to be pissed off or just spazzed in general!

here's a new one... I drew this for my aunt, whos dog died a few weeks ago. I did this one first, then did an identical one and made her a card with it.

Thanks that was one of the rare occasions I speak of where some shred of talent arises. I took advantage of the moment and made the card for my aunt. she's still pretty sad over it. he was a good dog. he even unwrapped his own presents at christmas

Thanks! but I wouldn't really call it a "style" cuz that pic is 10 years old and I don't necessarily draw like that anymore... I did have another picture of a random curly haired girl I did in that style. My mom liked it so much, it hung on her fridge for years, until it mysteriously disappeared one day. it's probably under the fridge w'll find it in 10 years when she moves out or gets a new fridge! oh wait- actually she DID just get a new fridge.... guess the pic is gone for good.
