Girl in Perspective

I've decided to take the criticisms I've recieved latley as a challenge to better my work. I also want to try doing more then just simple illustrations of characters posing. Finally, I realise that I'm not as good at photoshop then I think, and when I put images to it I sometimes end up making the images look worse in my peer's eyes. So, here's some work simply in pencil, at a sharp perspective, and with a real, handrawn background, which I put a lot more effort into then most of the backgrounds I've done in the past.

Oh my. To me there seems to be a vast difference between this drawing and those you've previously shown us.

Between this and the Photoshopped ones, I really do like this one better. Maybe it's the drastic angle you've put in, the seemingly defiant stance of the eld before that grand cathedral. This one has so much more power than those previous works you've put up here.

This has texture to it. Your coloured ones were a bit too smooth, maybe. It made them flat? It took something away I guess.

I will say her back looks a tad wrong but I'm willing to let it go on account of perspective and my not knowing how I would draw it 'properly' =s

I'm thinking that from now on I'll color the actual linework instead of tracing it with the line tool as I usually do.

Whoo, very nice. Much better than your other work I've seen. But allow me to point out two things. First, the angle of the girl's back is a bit off. It's curved too much, and if you were to look at her from a normal perspective, it would look like she was doing the limbo. ;P Second, her calves are a tad too large for the rest of her body, although you might pin that off on perspective.

Wow, really nice! The cathedral thing really looks well-done, and impressive! The light from the windows looks good as well, and the shadeing. The girl: good anatomy, and amazing pose. The hair could improve, though. But there's a lot of power in this picture.

Wow. That's realy good. I'm horrible with that kind of angle, and it's better than anything I could ever do! I like it!
