I made this for my term project at school in art, its not finished yet, but when it is is going to look good! tell me what you think

what materials are you using, and what are the pieces dimension?

If I may make a few comments based off your picture, you ought to find some large heart shape, because after all, majora's mask in it's abstract, is a simple heart. You could probably find any sort of heart shaped bowl at numerous department stores. from there you could paper mache the mask, maybe even make it out of clay.

well, I moulded my face in paper mache first, cut out a heart shape cardboard peice, paper macheulated it, coverd it in white tissue stuff, painted it with glue based paint (shiney! ohhhh) and made hornes out of cardboard! fun times and that! but I have no idea what im going to do next, if you help me out, ill be much in your debt vacumgod

3. add the 8 or so horns

4. paint on a black basecoat

5. paint the rest of the mask

6. spray on some acryllic adhesive spray (by coincidence, hairspray works too)

okay, this is only a class project alright, we did only have 3x1 hour lessons to do this. 1 of whic we just mucked about during


oh and lavmiester, (james) where is the credit for me and sam helping to make it. well i spose sam didnt really do much

I can't tell from the picture, but what sort of color did you use for the base? The mask is still very mache looking but then again it adds a rustic feel... probably not what you were aiming for >_>

Definately go with acrylic for the mask's markings, even a cheap kind works fine on mache pieces like that, as long as you're consistant with how many layers you add on. Oh and just as a suggestion maybe spraypaint the "horns" with the primary colors (and green) so that it looks as if the colors morphing together (like in the game), spray paint adds a nice fuzzy texture to it, not that the mask is going to sprout tufts of fur out of the horns XD

For the eyes, maybe add some sort of gloss, maybe even clear nail polish (if you own that XD) after you paint them. Make it even more shiny 0_0

Anyway, it's nice looking so far, go with vacumgod's suggestion.

Though I can't say I've ever seen a heart shape bowl in my life... but I suppose vacumgod has

i used a dark purple made by sam/linkonfire, and we were in a rush to finish it, so thats why it looks...macheieish (sounds german!) i dont think ive seen too many heart-bowls myself

oh, I've added some more suggestions to my edited post.

I suppose you can beat the heck out of a perfectly round bowl until it becomes uniformly heart shaped?

okay, so first up, i drew this on the plane to turkey on my holiday

i like this one, but a little too much hair, no?

this one, i drew poolside (still in turkey)

note, on his wrist band, you will see the gorons ruby! that ones just for you ZUers!

so, err, tell me what you think, room for improvement, should i couler them in, tell me what you think!

Try to work on you profiles (like the first picture). The profile doesn't have enough nose. I'm horrible at profiles, so I try to avoid them.

The second one is really nice!
