My little drawing

wow this is the very first thread ive created here, anyways, i just want to know what you guys think of this, i know its a little plain, and still needs some perfecting, but id like to know what you think

What are those two boxes comming out of? Is it hay?Anyway, assuming it's hay, Itlooks a little scribbley but overall you did well in portraying the difference in textures between the hay and the boxes. Was the spiral freehand? If so, the extent to which it resembels a perfect circle is impressive. Keep working, practice makes perfect!
