HitokiriChibi's Illusions

Teh hoi hoi to ye all~! I hopped into here and decided I'd post up some of my sketches.. I do colour in photoshop when I have time... but thanks to new tutorials I keep finding the colouring time keeps getting longer and longer. Gone are the days I'd draw and colour a pic in one day. Woe to that.

Most of the things I'll put here will be greylead sketches of characters I draw - mainly fantasy ones at that too and most likey from BA and my characters story.

I'm also willing to do requests of characters people have or of some image they have in mind. Just post in here, it'll help keep the order I recieve them in proper. If it involves something you don't want shown... post saying you have a request and then just PM me the details =3

For those future requesters: don't feel shy bout telling me what kind of pose you want your character to be in, you know them more than I do and you'd know how they stand far more than any bio can tell me. That being said I don't mind being left to do as I please, its just you might have something in mind already ^_^

I first drew anime and learned from Pokemon and Dragonball Z six years ago... then I moved on from there til I arrived where I am today. I'm trying to get away from anime as per lecturers instructions but anime is still what I enjoy drawing and most of what I'll put in here.

First pic: Kiara is Welcoming you all to this page, I drew her up in an hour before I made this thread at 11:00pm... I seem to draw better at night >_>; and this is a smaller pic, I have one that's A4 size too.


Second: Joker, my BA character. I didn't shade him like Kiara as I planned to colour him in PS.. which is taking much longer than i anticipated >_<


Third: Water spirit I drew after I saw a pic in a magazine of a woman rising from waves ^-^


Lastly an older pic (his name is Patchez) to show how I coloured in PS and some avatars of my chibi neko selfs =3

Overall your pictures are very good. You have used different media which is great ^-^
To better your pictures, keep on using references for body work. I notice some "mistakes" in all of your art pieces, but don't fret, they are only small ^_^ i.e. Your first, the left shoulder (which would be her right) is too far in, and I can't seem to decide if the arm of that shoulder is too small >.o Just little things like that. Practise makes perfect, and your off to a good start.

Oooo, I like your drawing style. I also really like how the eyes in your characters just pop out. I'm one of "those" people, too. I really don't feel like being nit-picky right now but I second what GD said.

Wow, your art is so pretty. I especially like the colored one of Patchez, but it kind of reminds me of Neopets too.

You need some work on faces. Otherwise, you're awesome.

Hehe, Yes I tend to foreshorten the shoulders that are in the background and that does tend to make it look at bit small... or maybe I've just never gotten the hang of it ~! Lolz, but yes thankyou for the crit. I won't get any better unless people point out to me my mistakes.

The eyes ten to be the first thing I draw and if I don't like how they look I tend to not continue with the picture... >_>; So i always spend more time on the eyes than the other stuff XD

Hehe, I drew Patchez a few years back and he still holds a special place in my heart. He was that one drawing that was above what I could draw back then and had been a milestone for me to match. Sometimes I still think i can never draw that kind of thing again -_-;

Another failing I have = all my characters faces look alike... ;-; I have tried drawing old people and they just look like zombies... >_>; so scary... so I tend to stick to the younger age group and that makes them all look the same XD

And there shall always be someone better than me... and they are in my class as well! The shame!!! ^___^; One here I can think of is Blackfeather. But then everyone has room to improve...

And this is just something I quickly drew on the train. My BA character, Joker, and one of his moments where he annoyed a companion. It occured in the Training thread with Advanced students in Safer's HR.

Ah, I love the smoothness of all your drawings. Very nicely done, each one of them! Good poses and positions as well. The last chibi was very cute. :] Seriously, all this is wonderfuly done, shading and all!

Only comment ... second picture, the guy could use a little more forehead/top skull. But bleh, I make that mistake sometimes too!

Patchez is teh smex. There, I said it before some noob did. =P

This was my take on San-Roc, GuruguruGuy's BA character request... Please tell me if I messed up the horned crest thing... this was the only thing I could think of to match what it said... Non-humans aren't my strong point ><;

yeah that stuff looks REALLY nice. i like the way you draw the folds and creases in the clothing, that hard to do, i suck at it bad. but i like your style, and all of those drawings are awesome! only thing is that you should probly color them, considering how nice your little mage dude came out.

Whee, and another request tis done~! This one was Fire Bird's character Merle =3 Twas fun drawing this, mainly cause I like drawing girls more... they're so much more easy ^__^;

Forgive me if it is a bit fuzzy... i tried to lighten it in photoshop since it was so dark from all the smudging that occured while shading it... >_<;

I like your art a lot. That last one is really good and clean, I can’t help but notice the eyes have great detail in them, do you go back over them with photo shop? The hands are good, wrinkles are good, shading is good, face is good, and these are usually the hardest parts. The only thing I noticed that’s wrong is the ear, looks… big, and maybe too far in. Maybe you could cover it with more hair. (Not telling you to go back and change it, just for future reference.)

Your drawings remind me alot of my own. In the sense that, they're mostly graphite, and always shaded in a very meticulous sense. You've got some really good talent and potential, esspecially with body shapes and proportions! Nice. You've done her skirt well too, making it look flowy like that. I have trouble with clothing.

How you make the faces rather elongated may not appeal to all veiwers, but I've grown to appreciate it. It's different, and that's a good start. :]

Those are fantastic! You drew the perportions perfectly. Oh, and I wish I could draw hands like you. I'm not very good at it.

I)ragon11: Nope, I don't go over them in photoshop. The only thing I do in photoshop is adjust the levels so its more white and clean.

DekuQueen: Thankyou for that ^_^ I haven't got time to colour in PS or I would but I like colouring in pencil so it all works out well.

Zelda15: Thankyou, I still have trouble with hands XD Its so hard when you get odd angles with them
