Exclamation ~The Twilight Princess~

Hey everyone!

So I got myself the Wii and a copy of The Legend of Zelda, and I couldn't resist starting up a piece inspired by the music.

Here's what I have so far, it's a good start. Once I'm done remixing the theme from the trailer, I plan on evolving the piece into a medley of the different songs from in-game.

Anywho, let me know what you guys think of it so far and I'll keep posting as I write more!

I'm afraid I haven't quite mastered the art of playing a full orchestra single-handedly yet, so what you're hearing is all computer-rendered

Thanks for the comments, guys! I'll keep posting as I work on it more.

Re: ~The Twilight Princess~

Very very nice! I'm impressed ^_^
For a computer-made song, it sounds very well done. In fact, I don't have a problem with songs produced by computers. I wish people would stop harrassing artists over not using live orchestra in their compositions, not when the PC or Mac can make some mighty fine sounds... I look forward to hearing the whole thing when it's finished!

By the way, I noticed you have composed a couple of songs from Solstice and Equinox. Are those from the respective NES and SNES games?

I can't wait to hear more! It really is beautiful! I especially love what you did in the introduction part.

Yeah, I agree. Not all songs involve a full orchestra anyway. Bringing in live musicians for solo and small ensemble pieces seems over the top. Not to mention that computer-produced music can also be a lot more flexible in terms of instrumentation (chorus aside).

THANK YOU. You have no idea how much I wish other people would see things that way...sometimes it's hard to convince them. Heh, if only they knew how little of game music you hear nowadays is actually a real orchestra recording...

As for Solstice and Equinox, those are just titles I used for my own original pieces - they've got nothing to do with the games.

I'm very glad you guys are enjoying this, I promise I'll work on it and post an update as soon as I can!

Re: ~The Twilight Princess~

Thank you! You know, if you guys enjoyed this piece, you should check out the other thing I posted in this section - it's a gigantic medley of Zelda music. So far, I have it at more than ten minutes long...you should enjoy it if you like this one.

~The Legendary Zelda Grand Medley~

Take a look if you get the chance, and drop me a comment there too!
