The Progression of a Sketch - Miniblin

To show the progression of my sketches into (hopefully) finished pieces, I decided to scan four images as they moved into different stages of developement. Beginning with the preliminary sketches.

[The characters here are from a developing sci-fi comic of mine based off of an interactive story in written in the Nayru clan ("NIS"), including four characters I made up for the comic not based off of anyone from the original story. So unless you're a Nayrulian who participated in NIS, you won't recognize the characters. But that's fine, it doesn't matter.]

They are all currently faceless because I lacked references in my math class, where I drew these. They all say "NIS" because I was bored and messing around.

I just realized I'm probably one of the only artists here who doesn't do anything remotely like anime in my art.
Next, I add faces and hopefully work out any anatomy issues!

Hey, this is pretty good! Your sketching is nice and clean, and that for me is something to be jealous about.

Maybe it's too early to see, but it seems like you've really got your own style... Which obviousley is a good thing.

Re: The Progression of a Sketch - Miniblin

Thank you both for the kind comments!

Here are the up-to-date sketches. I'll move onto the final piece next, hopefully. My style should come out here. There are a few things that need work, which I'll definately correct.

I must say that their coming along rather nicely the one thing I'd say is the faces ain't quite perfect. The first one is grand but the rest look a bit off. And one least cruel critic; the woman in the last pic looks rather manly. But that's all just my opinion, apart from that it's coming along rather well.

Beautiful stuff Mini!
I love how .. *clean* your sketches are.
The realistic stances and faces just make it all the more appealing. What do you mean by "lacked references" at the beginning? I'm assuming they're original characters and so are churned out of your mind each time. Unless you meant character sheets?
In the final image however, Mini, The strap over the lady's left shoulder is leading to where? if it's some sort of bra then surely it should have (the bra) begin by the time teh strap disappears into the clothing?
Gorgeous touch with the animals =) nicely drawn ^__^

Wow thats impressive. You really are talented.

Hmm, by any chance could i ask for your permission to save some of your sketches onto my computer?

I feel like i am sort of art collector...

Sorry, I don't really have much to say about the sketches that hasn't been said before, but, I love your signatures at the top of your drawings XD .

Where did you get the idea to do that from?
