Twilight Princess (Wolf on Cliff)

Everyone remember the end of the 2nd Trailer for Twilight Princess?

Awesome job on the cliff, it is very unique and realistic looking. The trees are well done too, it's nice to see the diffence in shading level due to distance from the view point. From the distance the wolf is a bit undefined, but I recall the trailer being like that, so kudos there. Very good job on the moon with the light spots of pencil (almost like purposeful smudges) to show the imperfections or texture to the moon's surface. Most artists (at least here) would just leave it white, I think it shows you really cared about this to do those kinds of little details.

Yes, I agree with most of the other people here who say the high quality shading and detail put into this picture was very impressive. I can tell it must of taken alot of work, and you kept on drawing even so. I also like how u left it black and white. I like black and white better anyway, but great job!

For some tips, next time try and see how much shading you can do without smudging. Smudging is nice, but you will be surprised at the effects you can get with just shading by pencil, and not smearing with your finger. (i assume that is what u did?) I'm sure you can do this, as you have alot of potential! keep it up!

I personally don't smear for texture and shading (assuming thats what you did) but it was awesome the way you drew it.

The cliff looks great, as well as the shading and the shape of the wolf. Everything seems to be in scale; much better than I could ever do. Great job.

It is ok, the picture is simple, and not that hard to do. The wolf is done slightly worng, not by much but still not correct. The shading and some of the trees, while good, are sloppy or you got tired of drawing, that happens alot among artist.

For you age and the picture type....I give you a 6/10. Like I said, it is OK.

Sorry if I sound mean it is just how I am with art. But keep it up man improving art is easy if you keep it up...belive me >_<.

I don't care much for the wolf. It was one of the last things I did in the picture, and if you look at the wolf in the trailer, it doesn't look very good either. I thought to myself while drawing "Wow, it looks oddly shaped". So whatever, that's your rating.

But like what my Visual Expression teacher says, "You draw the way you see reality. There's no bad or good art" ... or my personal favorite "You don't need to be an artist to draw, but you need to know how to draw to be an artist."

Others say it looks good because it appeals to them. I don't blame you for criticizing it because I get that often with my artwork. I do better drawing anime characters rather than landscapes.

But I have to admit that is a pretty mean rating...

Wow. I really like it, I like the shading and how you left it without color.

Hey, I really like it =]. The sky looks a bit foggy; it's a nice effect, and the trees are very well done. Also, nice job with the perspective and such. It's very nice.

But it seems that there're some noise on the picture.
Let's [Image]->[Mode]->[Greyscale] to make it tidy.
And,if you can line it more firmly,it will be much better.

I'm no artist, but I think that may have been the effect he was going for. The picture's set at night, so the I think the fogginess and smudging and such is appropriate, if that's even what you were referring to..
