Um this is just a small sketch from my sketchbook
Um it's a picture of a manga guy with a sword looking embrassed and a manga girl looking a bit sad/confused. I will add more later but I'm too lazy and the same with colouring I'm too lazy to colour.

That's pretty good for anime... just make them a little, shall we say... loosey goosey, to stiff. Besides that... just color it up and it's awesome.

No, I got the idea from the book plus they were my first manga/chibi faces...But I drew them see:

Anyway I made these last night:
I also made my first manga series I used the characters that I drew earlier The girls is named Amber and the guy is named Alex after me But I don't think its that good.

I didn't say you traced them, I said you copied them. It's still the same hair/expession.

Youve got a lot of stuff to work on before you start making comics, not only is it important to understand comics in themselves, but also, you should learn to draw well first.

I'm glad that you have an interest in drawing, but your skills at the current moment are lacking. Take a few months just studying the human figure and male/female facial structure.

Thanks for the feedback but Manga/Anime is a different form of drawing. Everyone has a different style of drawing manga and it will be hard to find someone that use the exact same style. And I dont want to do boring exact detail sketches, with manga I can express what and how ever I want to draw. I know that my skills arn't not that great right now because I only started. But I don't like colouring so thats why I draw manga and the comics. But now I don't really give a toss over detail, because it will develop over time

Plus heres an example of a good drawing and have a look at the facial expressions. especially that crazy girl on the far left. (not taking any credit for it in anyway)

Also if you actually did tell me what was wrong with them it could help instead of just insulting my first drawings

now, for just starting off your not to bad but your characters could use some more forehead. because right now it looks like they do not have any brains. otherwise i like it...and i have been drawing manga for five years.

Well I noticed a bunch of animations being posted so I decided to post a bunch of my first animations, the star wars one and the Dancing Brothers arnt that new though.
Don't expect a huge range of compliments from these

HylianZ - whether you choose to draw anime/manga or rugrats type of art, you still have to pay a lOT of attention to anatomy. You can only break the rules correctly once you learn them.
I'll take your first image for example (what is the lassie's name?) the girl's chest reaches up to her throat. No matter how little you think anatomy matters, all the viewers would *know* that theres problem there. Besides, the sheer size of her chest only makes the figure seem abnormal.
What Vacumgod means (I believe) is that when you come to draw a comic, you'll be forced to draw your characters in many situations, in many postures and conditions. copying from existing manga/anime is like only learning to make the icing but presenting it as a whole cake. It won't work.

That said though, I really like your first attempt at drawing a comic x3 the panel layouts and placement of speech in accordance to who's speaking first. So, well done.

Before you continue on with it though, carry out a few character sketches and *really* flesh out those 2 characters. Draw them in different moods/facial expressions. You won't regret it later =)
