Ganon drawing project

I am attempting to draw a classic era ganon. Like from link to the past or before. I drew a sketch based upon various pictures I found of ganon. I'd like to know what you think I should add, take away or change.

Re: Ganon drawing project

For an old-school style Ganon, that is preety much perfect!
Perhaps you could make the trident more angular, and more 'ferocious-looking' like the staff appearence in th Four Sword Adventures game.
Other than that, Colour it in, to really make it look as awesome as possible!

Re: Ganon drawing project

Oh this is just a basic sketch, I do plan on redrawing it with more detail and color. I just want to make sure it looks like a classic ganon should look before I do all that work. Thanks. By the way I actually have no idea what the trident is. Is that the spiky thing on the top of the staff?

Re: Ganon drawing project

Oh my! That is excellent! I don't really know how the trident looks, so I can't say much on it. But, I definitely can't wait until the coloured version gets in. Let me know when you're finished! I look forward to it!

Re: Ganon drawing project

Just a few lines that go to far like his right knee, right ear, and that line on the cape going into his shin, but they look like they're part of the style to me so I don't know if I'm complaining or not. I'd very much like to see the colored version because for almost flawless line art doesn't give me enough to complain about . J/k I bet you are pretty good at coloring also.

Keep up the good work.

Re: Ganon drawing project

Well, I am trying to make it go along side the link drawing I did. I plan to do ganon in a similar style. By the way I am not coloring using a computer. I am using acrylics and india ink..

Re: Ganon drawing project

You're coloring is excellent as I said before. I like how you stuck with simple colors, it gives this piece a more old school feel that fits the particular Ganon you drew. His loin cloth is a little small, but if he wants his stuff to fly out when he fights Link I won't stop him. His left leg where the shin connects to his knee looks a bit awkward, maybe if he was wearing a shin guard or something.

I like the way the shoulder pads were done most of all, the way you shadowed them almost makes it look like an airbrushed face paint job on a car. The orange to red effect is a very cool look on Ganon.

Keep up the spectacular work MikeMatei.
