My attempt at a crappy metroid sprite comic. ^^'

Yeah, this took awhile to make and I had loads of fun with it. But, it's my first try so don't be too rough. And uh.. I was too lazy to get a background. ^^' The sprites came from The Spriter's Resource.

Done in paint:

And now, the edited version:

It needs a lot of work, to tell the truth. Backgrounds and speech bubbles would be nice. Sorry!

Mostly, just what lancer said. If you put some effort into the art, it would be a bit nicer to the eye. For example, in the middle square, even if you are using paint, you could have aligned circles of various sizes, and cut out 3/4 of them, then pasted them on there, rather than draw the bounce lines freehand. For the most part, you should just try speech bubbles and showing effort.

When she shoots the gold one with the ice thingy, she seems to take a long time to move a few feet to her right. She ends up about ten feet ahead of where she was in the last panel, but five hours have passed and she is commenting on how late it's getting.

I don't really play metroid, but I like the comic. I wouldn't say it was great but I do think you did a pretty ok job on it. I liked all the blasts, I thought they were cool and probably the toughest part of the comic. I'm sure the joke about "that's from a different game you cheater" was funny, but I didn't get it at all. What game was it from, and what specifically was from a different game. The main drawback to these was that they moved super fast; the comic was like boom you're dead, moving on boom you're dead. Basically what I'm saying is try to put a little more sustance into your comics so people get drawn into them and want to read them.

Keep up the good work.

Well, it's the phazon beam from Metroid Prime. The game in the comic is based on Metroid Fusion. So she used a different beam that's uber powerful she wasn't even supposed to have at the time.
