Heres chapter 1 of my new sprite series.

That's actually the first sprite comic I've ever seen that has made me smirk. Seriously, I find sprite comics the most unamusing things in the world- funerals are usually funnier. But this one was fine. And as a plus... it shows the pure EVIL of card battle games!!! The background is good, and you even had the characters interacting with the background and moving around, so that's good.

Why do people feel obligated to make EVERY character in EVERY sprite comic talk with the slang popular in America in the late 90's early 00's?

Seems like every time I read a sprite comic people say "WTF FAG LOL!!!111"

Some food for thought: there are about 600 mega man sprite comics out there since the biggest sprite comic on the net features mega man. You may want to try picking different characters...

He recieves about 2-3 submissions a day of people who do mega man sprite comics and want to be links/hosted on his site. He accepts maybe 1 for every 10 he turns down.

The spriting was very good but the dialogue wasn't very funny. I think you should also try and keep smilies out of your dialogue boxes, most comics put the emotion on the face. I realize you probably don't have a sprite with the character frowning, but it still looks tacky written out. It would also be nice to see the comic move around a little; you've had two "chapters" (I use the term loosely) in the same little box. Try and mix it up, have them go some where or let the fight take them there.

Keep it up and heed ozort's advice, his comics are the best.

In chapter two panel 3, Mega Man is standing on a ledge, then in panel 4 mega man is mysteriously on his ass. Unless I missed something there should be reason for sprites being where they are. For example, Panel 1: Mega Man is walking a banana peel is visible, Panel 2: Mega Man is shown in the air from slipping on said peel, Panel 3: Mega Man is now on his back on the ground.

I am not a fan of the dialogue however I cant think of the words to accurately describe what i feel is wrong or give advice on how to make the dialogue more rich imo, sorry.

You have potential, just keep with it and listen to the critisism(sp?).
