3DS Paintings

On recommendation by Blizz, I've decided to create a new thread for my future 3DS paintings. These were drawn using the Colors! 3D application (if you haven't bought it already, go do it!) on a 3DS touchscreen (my gallery name is Gold Lioness):

"Winged lioness and cubs"



Drawn in a car during a road trip. This was mostly an experiment to get used to the interface.

"African lion"



A study of a male lion, based on a lion at my local zoo.

"Stalking tiger"



A Bengal tiger stalking a chital deer.


I'm about halfway through a fourth drawing.

These look great and these come from that new Colors app?!

Looks indescribible.

How long have you been drawing? I was half considering getting this to practice, but the best thing I ever drew was a shoe, a poor approximation of a beach I once went to, and an ankh.

This is incredible.

Pretty much since I could pick up a pencil...I usually find myself scribbling on spare pieces of scrap paper while I'm thinking, just by habit.

I'll be honest, I saw "3DS paintings" and assumed it'd be pretty bad, but hot mother♥♥♥♥ing damn Asta. This is amazing. I wouldn't have known they were drawn on a 3DS if it wasn't in the title. Just. Wow.

I kinda agree with Keith, but boy, was I wrong.

These looks absolutely fantastic. I love the colouring! You and your lion pictures, simply superb!

...woah...I'm in awe. You are extremely good at drawing. If you can do this on the 3DS, I'm curious as to what you can do on paper 0.0

How do you do that on a 3DS?

I can't even begin to understand how this is possible, I am truly amazed at how good these pieces are, I can not wait to see more!

I tried to do a few different levels of depth for this one - not sure how well I succeeded, but it was fun to experiment.

(Next, I might have a go at drawing something that's not a cat. )

Haha man, you should see some of the stuff that gets uploaded to the Colors! Gallery - I'm constantly in awe of what people can create with a limited interface.

Oh my, it looks like the Snow Leopard on the Mac OS X on the RETAIL DVD.
But yours is much better, and it looks so... beautiful

Wow, I didn't know these leveld of detail were possible on 3DS colors. Looks like I was reallly wrong there. These are great Astarael, I love the amount of detail you have captured in these. Especially the leopard one. It is almost photographic quality.
