Wind Waker + Twilight Princess: Link & Aryll (Scrapped)

Argh... well... it seemed like a pretty good idea at the time, but it didn't turn out as I had hoped. Uhmm... well it's something at least.

Oh, don't mind the yellow circle things. They were supposed to be glowing orbs if light if I had ever finished this. I'ma redo it one day. 8[

Tell me about it--I've been trying to do that since forever. I don't even like anime/manga, yet somehow, thanks to my Zelda fanart drawing ways, I just tend to go back to it. :/

Those are absolutely fantastic. Wow. That is some of the best pictures of Zelda or Link that I have ever seen. Very nice. Please, keep us updated if you ever make anything else!

Yeah, it's pretty intense. I've been trying to study the realism techniques I find on DA to learn more. There are some great material out there, yes.

My attempts at the ever-so-elusive technique of the Wind Waker style.

I really like these. :3

I think for the ever elusive windwaker style you need to have very good depth/3D skills though, at least I believe that's what makes it. Or you can try googling a way to get a cell shaded like coloring.

All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.

From the ashes a fire shall be woken,
A light from the shadows shall spring;
Renewed shall be blade that was broken,
The crownless again shall be king.

Hmmm I see...! Well, I was looking at the concept artwork for Wind Waker and what makes the coloring admirable is the shading that goes with it. Maybe it's that that makes it look so... 3D perhaps?
