New Zelda Bosses

I have been thinking, drawing, writing, and re-drawing some ideas of a story about Link. Now, with a new story, there must be new bosses. What I've made is a combination between Vire the bat (from OoS & OoA), Agahimn (ALttP), and a Stalfos Knight. I call him "The King of Death"...the Grim Reaper is just his messenger mwahahhaha (evil laugh). Well what I'd like to share is a rough scetch of what one of my new bosses would look like, and of course, Im open to any commentary/ comments / complements to my art work. Good critisizm(sp?) just makes the artist smarter.

thank you. Ive also been having ideas of some enemies/ bringing back enimies that weren't used that much. In Link's Awakening, there was an enemy called "Anti-Kirby" now what got me thinking was kirby is suppose to inhale you and absorb your powers. Well since anti-kirby will be a minion, not a boss or super hero in a Zelda game, Anti-kirby can inhale you and steal a weopon that you possess. then it will use that weopon against you. Lets say an Anti-Kirby stole your Roc's Feather. It will be hard to hit him via ground so most likely you will have to damage him by using a a bomb or an arrow.

As for the Bosses, there has been a question floating around my head for some time. If the weopon is called "Roc's Feater" or "Roc's Cape", why haven't we met this Roc charactor. Probably later tonight or tommarow you will see my sketch of what I think Roc would look like (as a foe, not a friend sadly enough)

I think you need alot more work in the legs.

The image suggests flight, so I think the feet should be naturally relaxed, not as if a floating platform in beneth. Also I don't really like how the top is unbalanced with the bottom, in terms of grabbing the viewer's attention. What I mean is that the bottom should be a bit more intricate to combat the detail that goes into the top half.

I dunno why, but now I have a sudden urge to create some LoZ bosses. Good job, BTW

Please do. Id love to see everybodys' artwork on some villains. Like I said previously, Im working on Roc and a new Penguin Boss! Hope for it to be done soon.

PS: I know that I said I was going to have Roc done earlier this week, but I've realized, Im not an expert on birds, but penguins....I think I can do. See you all later

Hey, can you think of some attacks and junk for that guy? That way you can start thinking of more in depth features, his strengths and weaknesses, special attacks, difficulty level, that sort of thing. That would be really cool.

To answer your questions Mondo Man:
Strengths: He is able to fly with his bat-like wings, and is very agile. He can fight on the ground or in the air.

Weaknesses: Light Arrows, Fire Arrows, Mystery Seeds, and Master Sword. If you can cut his wings....(well obviously) he won't be airbourne.

Special Attacks: On his left hand you can see that familiar ball of energy (as seen in OoT, ALttP, LA, tWW) that needs to be reflected. That does not hurt him. it only stuns him if reflected back with your Master Sword.

If you look at his right arm, you can see a blue flame surrounding his fist. He is able to throw flames at will ( just like the Genie from Link's Awakening in Swamp Grotto).

He can manipulate himself with two other shadows (just like ALttp and tWW while battling Agahim and Phantom Ganon).

Weopons: Blue Fire(very hot), energy balls, an energy sickle, and good ol' fasioned(sp?) magic.

Difficulty Level: I would give him a solid 9 out of 10

How to beat him: In the begining of the battle a cinematic view of blue flame will surround the room so there will be no escape. Then you'll see him hover to the ground from the dark and mysterious shadows from above. Thats when the battle will begin. He will begin flying around the room throwing blue flame at Link as he tries to dodge. Link takes out his seed shooter and hits the Grim Reaper with a Mystery seed, ending his pyro fiasco...for now. Link runs in and tries to land a hit with his sword, but misses as the ememy flies above him then across the room. Link takes aim with his seed shooter...but before he does the Grim Reaper's wings cover his body and when the wings open 15 nasty fire bats dive at Link. Link takes some serious damage but was able to kill 4 bats before the remainding 11 collect and become the Grim Reaper once more. Now he's getting a little steamed. A small blue orb starts to grow at his palm then is fired at Link. Link is very familiar with this ruitine attack and smacks the ball of energy back at the Grim Reaper. The Grim Reaper and Link volley the ball back and forth (just like the battle in tWW with Phantom Ganon) until GR gets hit and goes to the ground breathing heavily. Link dashes in to hit GR and succeeds. But thats not enough to kill him just yet. The battle goes on between these two, more blue flames scatter on the ground blue energy balls flying back and forth, and Flaming bats fall at Link's blade until there is no more. Now GR isn't able to summon his bats anymore. Link takes out his fire arrows. He aims for GR's wings, and gets a direct hit. With his wings withering into ashes, GR is left grounded. Another ring of blue fire surrounds the area, making the room a little bit smaller. GR starts making a small green energy ball at the palm of his hand. Instead of letting it grow, like the blue ones, he squeezed it and it became a big Sickle ( Artist Note: if you look at my picture there are two small sickles at his hip...I don't want those anymore, I like my energy sickle better). As GR swings his sickle, a shock wave flies toward Link as he jumps over it with his Roc's Cape and slashes him in half, not realizing that was the fake GR, the real one unleashes another shock wave with his sickle and hits Link in the back. GR think he has won until a fairy sprinkles her magic over Link, and he is revived! Link staggers to his feet, with his Master Sword at hand. He notices two new Grim Reapers in the Room. two of them are fake, and one is the real deal. Link looks at the feet of all three of them and notices only one has a shodow. All three GRs start to create blue magic balls with their palms and aiming them at Link. Link gets an idea. He looks opposite from the real GR and shoots a mystery seed at the wall. All three GRs fire at Link with his back turned on them. The Mystery seed bounces off the wall, whizzes by Link, pierces through the real GR's energy ball and hits him. GR becomes stunned and looses focus as his fake twins disapear into the shadows. However the twin's energy balls haven't disapeared. Link charges his sword with power and does a spin-attack on the two energy balls. One ball hits the side of a near wall as the other goes directly at GR. Grim Reaper then gets hit with his own medicine. This is Link's only moment. He faces Grim Reaper's weak body as it trembles from both hits it just recieved. Link takes out his bow and arrow and shoots a Light arrow straight at Grim Reaper's Heart. The Light grows inside of its body and beams of pure light escape from the body as it deteriorates Grim Reaper from the inside out ( to put it more clearly:he dies just like the stalfos knights do in tWW). That is the end of Ganon's beloved fallower.

I hope that wasn't too long for all of you. I hope you injoyed it Mondo Man. Ive been working on that little skit for a while now. Hope to hear good things from you all soon enough.

Im sorry, but Im breaking the rules for a sec (my first crime).

I know you aren't suppose to dubble post, but I'll take the hit this time (I tried Editing, however it wouldn't have the option of puting in an attachment). Since nobody has been replying on my thread (and I'd love to keep this baby alive), heres another boss and her stats for you fine people to gander at.

Name: Electrika
Strengths: Agility
Weaknesses: Master Sword, Switch Hook, and Bombs.
Special Attacks: Summoning Rope Snakes, Tornado Attack, Poison Sting,
Weopons: Two Poisonous Blades at the end of her tail and her right hand.
Difficulty Level: Pretty simple. A 5 out of 10

How to Beat Her: As Link walks into the room, he notices some pots and bushes on both sides. He has a feeling he will be needing them later on in this dungeon. He scans around the room and finds a treasure chest resting on a small mesa too high for him to easily jump or climb on. He starts walking towards the door he hasn't gone through until a small rumble startled him as both doors were shut from the outside, indestructable steel kept him from escaping from whomever, or whatever wants him to stay. Suddenly something started to crawl down from the cieling, onto the wall, and finally reaching the floor to meet her unexpected visitor. She licked her lips and waved her tail for it has been soo long since she has had a decent meal. She cocks her head up high and hisses at the cieling. That is when five rope snakes beckoned her call and charged at Link. Link equipted his sword and shield and easily disposed of them without a scratch. Electrika seemed impressed. She quickly slithers her way towards Link for an attack. Link is surprized to see how fast she is and barely dodges her first attack. He stands behind her as Electika's tail tries to jab Link but luckily he just hops back. Link needs time to think. He pops a Pegasus seed in his mouth and starts dashing away from her to gain some distance. The plan worked for know. Electrika just smirks from the distance and hisses at the ceiling ounce more. Five Rope Snakes are by her side and they all make a charge for Link. Link takes out his Seed Shooter, quickly puts a Scent seed in it and shoots for the opposite corner of the room. That is when all five Rope Snakes noticed the pleasant smell and ditched their master. This made Elecrika angry. She lifts her tail and starts spinning like a mad top. Link tries to stop her by slashing away but all it seems to be doing is nothing. As far as Link knew it, she was invulnerable at this state. He poped in another Pegasus seed as he dodged her spinning assult. That is when he figured it out; if he can't hurt her from the outside, howabout the inside. He got a bomb from his bomb pouch and placed it between his feet. He quickly took out his Switch Hook and shot it at Electrika. The bomb started to flash red until the two finally switched possitions. Electrika stayed spinning around the bomb, just as Link had hoped. The bomb exploded and Electrika had finally stopped. Damaged and wounded she called for assistance. This time seven snakes came at her call. Link tried his Scent seed trick however it only attracted four snakes to the meal as the other three were too close to lead away. He took out his sword, and with one nice hit, all three snakes fell to the ground. Electrika goes in for a second round. This time, Link notices a new little weopon on her wrist. Two six inch blades, he better not get near those. Then all nine Rope Snakes from before (the ones eating the scent seeds) were at her side. Once they have smelled it, they have no more desire for it anymore, so that Scent trick won't work. Link pops in his last pegasus seed into his mouth and began to charge up his sword. Electrika and her gang wouldn't wait for anything and started to charge towards Link. With the combination of his Pegasus seed and his charged up sword he made a fast Tornado Spin Attack. As he spins, he revolves around Electrika killing all of her minions. Link stumbles on his feet trying to relieve himself from the dizziness. Electrika takes the opportunity and stabs Link with her two poisonous six inch blades. The poison runs throughout his blood, seeping away his health and making him walk slower. Link tries to catch his breath as the snake queen jabs him in the gut. Link falls to the ground. Electrika lifts her tail high, getting ready to strike her tail through his body. Link thinks quickly ,before the poison takes a dramatic effect, and takes out his Switch Hook and shoots it at a pot across the room. Electrika's tail smashes through the pot as Link leans on the wall. He notices a Mystery seed on the ground that was underneith the pot. He poped it in his mouth, hoping that mystique powers of the seed could aid his misery from Electrika's poison. The goddesses must have aided him, because the seed had healed him from the poison. Once again, Electrika lifted her tail and started to spin ferociously. Link knew it was now or never to stop Electrika's rein. He placed down a bomb next to his feet, and just like before, he shot the Switch Hook right at her. After they switched places, Electrika spun around the bomb until it exploded and ended her life once and for all. A cloud of black dust appeared, and her body was nowhere to be found. Both doors unlocked, and a staircase revieled itself to the treasure chest. Link climbed the stairs, opened the treasure chest to recieve the Map of the dungeon. Link headed northward, like he had planned, before he crossed paths with the snake mistress, Electrika.

Artist Notes: Eventhough Mysery Seeds, Scent Seeds, Pegasus Seeds, and the Seed Shooter were used in my short story of how to kill her, I didn't consider them as weaknesses towards Electrika because all they did was aid you.

Dispite the weopons needed to defeat Electrika, I can deffinentally see her being used in the third or fourth dungeon as a Mini-boss. Tell me if you think the difficulty level should be higher, give me any ideas, and please critique my artwork.

I don't know if I will be able to draw Roc or my idea about a new Penguin boss. I gues I'll just write and draw them as they come. Please send in your work, I'd love to see other peoples ideas on what their bosses would look like.
