Evil and Hate: Leagcy of a great warrior

Hey all! I'm new to the community, and i hope to be acquainted with a lot of you guys soon. Anyway, this is a fanfic I've been workin on for quite a while, and I'm still not close to finishing. I hope you guys enjoy reading it because I enjoy writing it. This is only the first chapter. I want to know if you guys are interested in it.

Evil and Hate

Disclaimer: I don’t own Zelda in any way, and never will. This is just a fanfic that I chose to write.

Summary: It is after the Wind Waker. Ganon has been buried underneath the depths of the ocean. But it seemed all too easy. Was a mere child of ten really that strong? Or did Ganon plan this to happen?

Part I: The Gathering

Chapter 1: Return of Darkness

Nothing was left. Only ocean could be seen. The once majestic Hyrule was only ruins now. The Gods that had built this world with their own care was now nothing. The land of Hyrule was now just a watery graveyard beneath the tumultuous waves. Not even sea life dwelled in its resting place. The only thing that was left, besides rubble and dirt, was the statue of the once cruel man that caused all of it. The expression on his face was malevolent grin. He was laughing at the destruction he caused. Besides his ghastly figure, there, protruding from his head rested the legendary weapon. The Master Sword glimmered with a brilliant aura surrounding it. The entire realm around it remained at a stand still. Time did not move for Hyrule, and it remained that way.
The sea was calm that day, but it didn’t last for long. The ocean shook and quaked as a mighty ball of inferno pierced the surface of the once calm seas. It made its way to the depths of the sea and crashed into the castle grounds. The flames that were still dancing wildly, soon dissipated to reveal a man. He was cloaked in a dark robe with several unknown symbols patterned on it. A hood darkened his face, but it was easy to tell that he was very old. He was carrying a long gnarled staff that seemed to emit a dark and evil aura. He walked toward the monotonous statue. His hand started to glow red, and with a swift motion, he pulled the sacred sword out of the skull of the figure. The stone texture started to vanish and was replaced with dark skin. The figure started to move little by little until the man was completely free. He was clad in tough armor and he had a red cape that was cut in several places. He had fiery red hair that grew into his eyebrows. They just looked at each other and laughed.
“Welcome back, Ganondorf”
“Ahhh, Agahnim. I was waiting too long down here in this accursed tomb. I was starting to think you wouldn’t show.”
“Here is the sword.” Agahnim held out the glowing sword. Ganon took hold of the blade. He laughed like a deranged maniac.
“Just as I thought! This sword is a fake!”
“How do you know that?” said Agahnim.
“If this was the real sword, than why am I able to hold it?” he started to squeeze the blade harder, “It seems that the Hylians were able to forge a counterfeit sword. Unfortunately, this sword didn’t have same purity as the original copy. It wasn’t enough to kill me!”
“Then where is the real sword?” Ganon shot Agahnim a glare, but he wasn’t angry at him. He was angry at someone else.
“The true sword still lies in the hands of that ************** Link!” Ganon gripped the blade even harder to the point where blood started to ooze down his hand and dissolve into the water around him. “That fool will pay for making a fool of me!” All of a sudden, the sword shattered under Ganon’s powerful grip.
“Wasn’t that Link that just defeated you?” Agahnim asked.
“No. I don’t know who the hell that child was. He was nothing though.” He looked at Agahnim. He released the remaining sword shards into the dark abyss of the water, “He could never truly kill me. No one can. Link was the only one, and I’ll make sure he never does it again!”
“But didn’t he have the Triforce of Courage on his hand?”
“No, that wasn’t the true triforce. Neither he nor that other child had the triforce pieces. They were nothing but fakes. The real fragments still lie in the hands of their true owners. The true Link and the true Zelda! However, the real problem is trying to find them both.”
“Now that I’ve noticed, the princess seemed to have deserted this land far before the time you escaped the dark realm. Where do you think she has gone?”
“That is none of our concern, for the moment. We can worry about that later.”
“Should we start with phase two of our plan?” Agahnim seemed eager to start.
“Yes, but first...” Ganon turned towards the castle. He lifted up his hand, and he started to gather a large amount of dark energy. He threw it at the castle, and the castle exploded. Rocks flew everywhere, but Ganon just stood there as giant boulders flew past him, only inches away from his face. Ganon and Agahnim made there way to the surface.

Re: Evil and Hate (Leagcy of a great warrior)

DragonWolf, I relize you are new and so I will tell you that posts that just say hi, and say your name to the person who took the time to write a fic, which is pretty good by the way, is not something you should get into the habit of doing. It will get you in trouble with the mods, and we don't want that, do we ^^? Posts like these are best done in the New Members Board, not in someones fan fic, and if you are going to do this, at least mention the fan fic in your post. I am not trying to be mean, this is just in your best interest, because I would just hate to see you or anyone else getting in trouble for something like this.

OniWarrior, a very interesting fan fic. I would like to see more ^^.

Re: Evil and Hate (Leagcy of a great warrior)

Hey again! Just got back from a week's vacation. Sorry about the delay. I'll post up my new chapters every now and then.

Chapter 2: Majora’s Resurrection

It was near night. Black smoke and red hot ash danced towards the reddened sky. Flames consumed the land of Termina. Towers and homes began to crumble. People were screaming for their lives while some were ripped apart by savage pig-like beasts, carrying large axes. Stalfos ran through the city, hacking down anyone and everyone. Undead creatures sprung from the ground to feed on the unsuspecting humans. Ganon and Agahnim had done their work well. They walked into the city, killing anybody that was caught in their eyesight.
“You realize that he might not even be here.” said Agahnim.
“I wasn’t planning on him being here.” Ganon replied. He looked to his left and saw two Stalfos dragging a man by the arms. The man’s arms were gashed with claw marks. His right leg was broken so he couldn’t run. The man was obviously a shopkeeper. The Stalfos threw him on the ground in front of the two. With a swift wave Agahnim’s staff, dark gaseous magic shot out from the tip, and it reached for the man’s neck. It coiled itself around the man’s neck and lifted him off the ground. As he hanged there, Ganon moved forward, looking him closely in the eye. Ganon’s eyes were glowing bloodshot red. The man could see the blazing red fire within his pupils very clearly. Ganon spoke in a deep echoing voice, “Where is the mask collector”
“He came by this town not too long ago.” The shopkeeper replied. His fear was overwhelming. The demonic glare on Ganon’s face left him motionless. He could hardly breathe either. “He went north, towards the mountains.” The shopkeeper managed to shout out. Ganon just turned away and walked out the town. Agahnim waved his staff again, and the dark gaseous magic it took the shopkeeper’s last breath of life. The two left him and all the other people in the town dead.

It was a cold day in the mountains that day. It was even colder for the mask collector. As he lay there, his blood stained on the cold icy ground that would soon be his icy grave, he looked up at the two evil entities. “Wait!” he sputtered, “What do you want with that mask?”
“I plan to resurrect the evil power that was once here!”
“But there is no power! It has left the mask for…” As quick as lighting, Ganon gouged a large cut in the collector’s back.
“Agahnim!” He threw the mask in his direction, “Awaken the dormant powers of Majora!” Agahnim looked at the mask with a disappointed look on his face.
“The collector was right. I can’t sense any evil emitting from this mask. However, the evil was never destroyed. It had left the mask to seek out a new host. Fortunate for us, the dark power is somewhere nearby.”
“There is nothing out here except this damn…” Ganon looked at the mask collector again, his eyes filled with malice, “You have it don’t you” The collector, who looked dead already, started to laugh, but he soon started to cough out blood.
“Yes I have the power of Majora’s Mask. It is kept deep within me; so deep that it’s impossible to ever bring it out.” As he spoke these words, Ganon became more aggravated. “When Link defeated Majora, I knew that its horrors still lived inside the mask. Therefore, I chose to take the power from it, and keep it locked away so that its evil will never terrorize this world again. You, Ganondorf, seek this power, but I shall never give it to you nor shall you extract it from me!”
“We shall see about that!” Ganon snatched the mask from Agahnim, grabbed the man by the collar, and forced it onto his head. His body started to glow with an evil aura, pulling the power out of the crippled body. The only way to free Majora’s power was to take the life of the collector with it, and Ganon did not hesitate in doing so. The power returned to the mask, and Majora had been reawakened. The mask rose and floated in the air.
“Majora lives once again!” It laughed maniacally. Then it turned towards the drained body, lying on the ground. “For years I was trapped in that hell hole, but now I am finally free to raise destruction once again!” He turned towards the evil king and the dark sorcerer, “Where you the ones that freed me from that rotting cell?” Ganon glared at him and replied.
“Yes I did. Now follow me. We have much to discuss, and so many brethren that are waiting to be resurrected.”
“And why should I help you do this?” Majora glared back at Ganon. His eyes were a large and menacing yellow, surrounded by an array of colors and designs that formed the design of his mask. The mask was bordered by large spikes and had a long cape flowing from the back of it.
“Because you and I share the same enemy.” Ganon replied, “Link.” Majora’s eyes glowed even brighter at the sound of that name.
“Damn that boy! He shall regret everything that he did to me! No one escapes from the wrath of Majora!”

Re: Evil and Hate (Leagcy of a great warrior)

Chapter 3: Guardians of the Wind Mage

Ganon and the other two oppressors of darkness made their way into a subtle forest. The forest was calm and quiet. It was dark though, with small punctures of light that tore through the blanket-like treetops.
“Why are we here Ganon?” asked Majora.
“You shall soon see.” Was Ganon’s reply. They ventured further into the forest labyrinth. It seemed like an eternity of twists and turns with deadly pitfalls and poisonous thorn bushes. It was also nearly pitch black in the forest so they were traveling blind for most of the part if not for Ganon. It seemed that he knew where he was going. It was like something was pulling him in the right direction.
“I am growing impatient of your wandering Ganon! Either we find what you’re looking for right now or I will…” Ganon swung a blow at the floating mask. Surprisingly, it made contact, and the face came sprawling to the ground.
“I’m tired of your damn whining!” Ganon yelled. “I may have brought you back for your assistance, but I won’t hesitate to send you back to the burning hell from which you crawled out of!” Ganon continued on walking with Agahnim following, and Majora staying in back, afraid of getting on Ganon’s bad side again.
Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, the trio of darkness entered a clearing. It was more visible in this area so they had no more trouble trying to find their way. This opening looked somewhat like a grand hall. Massive trees bordered each side of the room with an even greater tree directly in front of them, towards the back. A line of moss-covered cobblestones led from the entrance to an altar, with a trapezoid-shaped stone placed on it. The altar was right in front of the massive tree. A shaft of light shone brilliantly upon the altar and it revealed a magnificent sword that sparkled with a pure aura. The sword was thrust into the center of the stone.
“There it is.” Ganon said with ambition. “The legendary Four Sword. In it lies a great and powerful wind sorcerer named Vaati. He was entrapped in this sword by someone who used it to multiply himself into four beings. They overpowered Vaati and left him to wander the distant realms of the sword.” Ganon slowly approached the sword, eager to free the sorcerer from his imprisonment. Suddenly, a voice shot out from the surrounding trees.
“I can not allow you to free the evil in that sword.”
Ganon took a step back, trying to figure out where the voice was.
“It’s coming from over there!” yelled Agahnim, who detected the being with his staff. “There are four of them!” At once, four figures shot from the trees and landed in front of the altar. “They are the four beings that trapped Vaati!”
“No wait!” Ganon looked at them closer. “They may be the beings that trapped Vaati, but they are only mere spirits of their former selves! It seems Vaati has been imprisoned for too long. No matter. I will put an end to his waiting.” He turned towards the four spirits. His eyes blazed a fiery red. “And I will put an end to your pathetic lives once and for all!”
The four spirits raised their swords, taking a fighting stance. Ganon, along with Majora and Agahnim, also raised their guard. The four specters charged in a line formation. Then they scattered like a cue ball hitting a group of pool balls. They moved with astounding speed as they zigzagged across the hall, bouncing off of the trees surrounding them. Two of the ghosts headed for Ganon from behind, but he saw them coming. To their surprise, Ganon moved much quicker than they had expected. He jumped into the air and came down like a meteor. His fist emanated a greenish color, and as soon as it hit the ground, it caused a shockwave that knocked one of the spirits off balance. There was his chance. Ganon charged at the fallen one. He raised his hand in the air and gathered a massive amount of dark energy that materialized into a giant sword. The tip of the sword was not pointed. It was actually curved and made it look blunt, but looks can be deceiving. He rose up the sword, and was about to bring it down upon the spirit’s head, but was stopped by the other apparition who stabbed Ganon in the leg. This aggravated him even more, and then, with the back of his hand, struck the backstabber in the face which sent it crashing into the trees. By the time he did this, the other specter got up and dealt Ganon a blow in the stomach, and then it grabbed his arm and flung him into the trees. As Ganon dealt with those two, Majora and Agahnim had to deal with the others. One of the spirits charged at Agahnim with lightning, but the sorcerer brandished his staff and the ground in front of him rose up. The specter tripped over the newly changed terrain, and Agahnim, without stalling, shot a dark sphere at the sprawling hero. The sphere encased him completely, and it started to slowly take away all the oxygen that was left inside. The other ghost, fighting Majora, seemed to have an easier time than the rest. Compared to Majora, this hero’s speed was far greater than that of the floating mask. However, Majora’s rage began to grow.
“You want to see true speed!” Majora started gather up energy from within. The mask, all of a sudden, sprouted two skinny legs and two arms just as thin. A small head with a very large eyeball had grown out of the top of the mask. Majora had just incarnated. Majora sprinted after the specter. The apparition was amazed at his speed. Majora dealt the ghost a blow to the cheek which sent it crashing to the ground. Majora then jumped on the spirit and started to pound its face further into the dirt. Eventually, Majora jumped back, exhausted from savagely beating the specter. Then he transformed his hand into a deadly blade. Majora pounced on the spirit once again and brought down the blade on its face. The hero was dispelled. As the other spirit was struggling to get free, Agahnim’s grasp on it increased. One of the hero’s saw its ally in trouble, so it made a dash towards the encased ghost, a fatal mistake on his part. By this time Ganon had already gotten up. He dashed for the spirit and shot a dark energy sphere at it. The spirit was no more. However, the other apparition, whom had crashed into the trees from Ganon’s brutal hit, had also seen the desperate comrade. He made it to Agahnim and thrust his sword into his shoulder. Agahnim staggered backward and lost his grasp on the imprisoned soul. But as soon as the specter had freed the other one, Majora caught it off guard and swung a mighty blow at the hero. It went flying backwards and Ganon, seizing the opportunity, gave the flying spirit a full-force kick in the side that literally crippled its body. All was left was one exhausted victim whom Agahnim wanted to finish off for himself. He cast a dark magic upon the specter which lifted him up in mid air. The sorcerer pointed his free hand towards the ground, which ruptured the floor and caused jagged spikes to stick up. He thrust his staff downwards, and the spirit was thrown into the spikes, sealing the spirit’s fate. The last hero regained consciousness, only to the evil king of darkness towering above him, his sword ready to end his life.
“You…cough…must not awaken the wind…” Ganon brought his blade down upon the final spirit’s head.
“Shut up!” was his reply before he killed it. The guardians were no more. Ganon faced the altar, where the sword was, jabbed into the pedestal. Ganon grasped the glowing hilt of the sword, and then he threw it on the ground. “Return Vaati! The Wind Mage!” He bought the front of his sword down upon the blade, and a brilliant light exploded from the sacred sword. It began to shatter, and finally, the sword shattered. The sky turned dark, and lightning raged fiercely. The winds started to pick up tremendously to the point where trees were almost uprooted. A bolt of lightning struck the ground where the shattered sword was, revealing four large, black, jagged tentacles. The light dissipated to reveal the rest of the figure. A large oval-shaped creature with a large eye in the center emerged from the flash of light.
“Finally! I am finally free!” shouted Vaati as he finally awoke.
“Indeed you are.” Ganon said to it. “Now come with me, I have something that might interest you”
“Interest me?” was Vaati’s reply. “What could you possibly have that I cannot obtain for myself?”
“Dominion over every living thing that exists. But, it is not as easy as it seems. There are a few obstacles that have gotten the best of us. You are not aware of Link, the Hero of Time, are you? He is not an ordinary person. His powers far surpass the ones of the four heroes that imprisoned you.”
“Hmmm… this Link character seems like a force to be reckoned with. Very well, I shall join your legion of darkness. I will discuss my terms later.”
“Very well. But first, we have to take care of some other business first.” The four prime evils left the forest, and headed north.

Re: Evil and Hate (Leagcy of a great warrior)

Chapter 4: The General of Darkness and the Sorceress of Shadows

A storm was raging over the desolate wasteland that was the next destination of the evil tyrants. Lighting flashed continuously in the sky, never ending. The deadly bolts struck anywhere and everywhere. The land was long abandoned and now forbidden territory. The reason for this was because of a dark energy that wandered the corrupted desert. The only thing that was left here was a giant citadel that stood in the center of the ruined field. The four moved on without concern of the fierce storm or its dangers. They traveled for miles, searching for the ancient ruins. However, the fierce lightning and harsh rain was blighting their sight.
“I can’t see anything in this damn lightning!” shouted Agahnim.
“Allow me to rid us of this problem.” said Vaati, “I am the Wind Master after all.” Vaati went into deep concentration for a few seconds. The others noticed the storm was slightly clearing, but not long after, the storm started to reform. Vaati’s power was easily overpowered by the storm.
“Humph! Wind Master my ass.” mumbled Majora, who decided to stay in his incarnate form. Vaati shot Majora a malevolent glare and was ready to strike at him. Majora knew what was about to happen and his eyes started to glow a bright yellow, but suddenly, Ganon interrupted the two.
“It was clearly obvious that Vaati’s power was thwarted. This is no ordinary storm. An evil entity is at hand here. This storm has been raging for years without stopping. Think of it as a curse, not a spell.”
“What kind of curse is it?” asked Agahnim.
“Long ago, there was a very prosperous land where a very powerful oracle lived. She was called the Oracle of Seasons for she had the power to control the seasons. She didn’t really live there. She was seeking refuge from a powerful tyrant by the name of Ornox, the General of Darkness. Eventually, Ornox found her and captured her. He used her power to his advantage and became the ruler of that land. Unfortunately for him, Link heard of the oracle’s capture and set out to rescue her. He confronted Ornox and won. He set out from that land, and traveled on. There was another kingdom where another oracle was hiding from another dark evil very similar to Ornox’s. She was called the Oracle of Ages for she had the power to travel through the ages. The dark evil that pursued her went by the name of Veran, the Sorceress of Shadows. She also captured her prey, but that damn Link heard of it as well. He battled Veran and killed her, saving the oracle from her imprisonment. However, the defeat of Ornox and Veran was not a loss. It just so happened that two witches collected the souls of both Ornox and Veran and used their energy to revive me. I eventually confronted Link myself, but luck was on his side, and he killed me.” Majora let out a snicker at hearing this, but felt a sudden bang on the back of his head soon after. It felt like he hit a train, and he fell forward, his face slamming on the dirt ground. Everyone looked at Ganon as he continued the tale, being careful not to say or do anything that would upset him. “The two souls are still burning inside the fortress, in the center of this wasteland. The flames of their souls put a curse upon this land as a final assault. The curse did its work well, and both cities fell apart, leaving nothing.” They trudged on, the storm still roaring over their heads, threatening to strike them down.
They finally arrived at the castle. Evil wandered throughout the corridors of the desecrated stronghold. There was no lighting inside, and to make matters worse, the corridors twisted and turned into on another, creating a massive labyrinth, that seemed impossible to guide. But that didn’t stop them from pressing on. Walking through pitch black was hardly a challenge for people who have lived in darkness for centuries. Finally, they arrived at a long corridor. At the end of the hallway was an altar, where two flames were alight. They gave off a bright blue color, and they seemed to flicker quite rapidly, as if they were struggling to get loose from their holding place. Agahnim soon realized the type of magic that was behind this.
“This is the work of Koume and Kotake! But I thought they were dead!”
“Obviously they managed to resurrect themselves.” Ganon replied. “But it seems that Link caught up with them and put an end to their lives. I’m sure they won’t be coming back again.” Agahnim was surprised at Ganon’s attitude towards the two witches. He didn’t seem to care one bit about them. They were two of his best minions too. Ganon walked up to the altar, where the two flames were raging. It seemed as Ganon got closer to the flames, they started to rage more and more. Ganon went into a deep chant. The flames got wilder and wilder as Ganon’s voice echoed throughout the room. The flames grew bigger and bigger, and there color started to turn a dark grey and then to a black. Suddenly, the flames exploded, engulfing the entire room. Out of the dark inferno, stepped forth a large man clad in heavy armor that covered his entire body. The only thing visible was his mouth; the rest of his face was covered in a cone shaped helmet. In his hand was a large battle mace, hanging from a jagged chain that connected to a handle in his other hand. Then, out of the second flame, was a woman wearing a black sorceress gown. She had a very mysterious cape as well that was wrapped around her shoulders. A tiny grin stretched across her purple face as she stepped out into the world. The flames dispersed, and Ganon stepped forward.
“Welcome back Ornox, Veran.”
“Finally, it’s been far too long!” Shouted Ornox. “Trapped in an infinite void of nothingness. Link will regret ever humiliating me like this. The only thing left of him will be his smeared body on my mace when I’m through with him!”
“I too want to get back at that damn boy! He should have never crossed me. I will throw him into the eternal realm of shadows!” Veran said with an angry tone.
“You both will get your chance.” Ganon said. “You all will get your chance. Now is the time! The legion is complete! It is time for the second part of our plan to take action! Darkness will soon reign over the entire world!”

Re: Evil and Hate (Leagcy of a great warrior)

Part II: The Tournament of Legends

Chapter 5: The Tournament of Legends

The quarters were very dirty, as if they hadn’t been cleaned in years. Dust scattered from the steel flooring, and slowly recollected on the front of Link’s shoe as he stepped in to his temporary accommodations. The room was very small indeed, a small bed pressed up against the back wall of the room, and a nightstand right next to it with a lamp on top of it. There was a TV right across from the one-person cot. A small armchair was back up against the farthest corner of the room. A tiny kitchen covered the top-left corner of the room. The only thing there was was a stove, a fridge, and one cupboard. To the right, of the entrance, was a bathroom, with a toilet, shower, and one sink. The toilet was out of order, and there was scum growing into the grooves in the shower room. Link hoped not to stay there very long.
He lifted up his foot, and hit the toe of his boot against the floor, trying to get the menacing dust off his foot, but to no avail. He walked into the room and put his bag on the chair. He only carried one bag, he always did. He sat down on the old rickety bed and turned to see a small window. He could barely see through it though because of how unclean it was, but there wasn’t much to see anyway. There was only blackness, with tiny stars in the distant background, flying by. Every once in a while he saw a star closer than the others, but they were still far away. He turned away from the window and reached for his bag. He rummaged through the neatly woven sack, which was given to him as a gift, and pulled out a card. He opened it and read the message again for the fourth time:

Congratulations, Master Link
You have been cordially invited to participate in this year’s tournament. This competition is unlike any other that you have encountered before. Legends from across the entire universe are coming to participate in this event, some you may have heard of, some you may not have. This event is held every ten years, and we only accept the best fighters of all. You, Master Link, fit into that category. The rules of the tournament are as followed:
• The lineup for the tournament is chosen at random.
• Weapons are aloud, but they must be approved of before use. Any item that is not approved of and is used on the battlefield will result in an automatic disqualification. Any item that is used without approval first results in a warning, and if done a second time, results in disqualifications.
• The first battle is a 1v1 battle. This battle is a timed battle of 30 minutes (believe us, these matches carry on longer than you expect them to. If no one has fallen after the designated time limit, a sudden death match will take place (there will be more information on the sudden death match later). The victor moves on and the loser is eliminated. The fighting arena for this round will be a square playing field.
• The second round is a 2v2 battle. You must pair up with a partner and fight against another team in the ring at the same time. Both opponents must be defeated in order to win the match. There is no time limit. Both players on the losing team are eliminated. The fighting arena will be a plain square playing field again.
• The third round is the semi-finals. This is another 1v1 round with a time limit of one hour. The fighting arena that is chosen will be a virtual world. This world is created from one of the fighter's own world.
• The final round is a 1v1 on a completely, randomly, picked, playing field in the virtual world. There is no time limit in this match.
The tournament starts on the first of June. Arrive at the designated station at 6:00 a.m. where a transport ship will take you to the arena. The trip, from the station, will last three days. Until then, be ready, to fight among the heroes, and become a legend.
Link folded up the paper and put it back into his bag. He really didn’t know why he was going to do this in the first place, but something inside him told him that he has to compete. He let out a big sigh and fell backwards on the wobbly bed. The bed made a loud squeaking noise and it soon collapsed. Link just laid there, a little aggravated, on the old cot, in the middle of nowhere. “This is going to be a long three days.” Link said.

Chapter 6: Arrival at the Stadium.

The three days didn’t last as long as he thought they would. The ship arrived at a large planet. They docked in what seemed like a very busy port. People were running about, all in a hurry. Shops were set up everywhere, and people were selling souvenirs and other gifts. It didn’t take long for Link to realize, that this tournament was such an important event. As he walked down the boardwalk, people started to notice him.
“Look! It’s Link, the legendary Hero of Time! He’s in the tournament!” In a mere flash, Link was engulfed in a swarm of people. He couldn’t escape the enormous flock of citizens. After a minute, a police squad came in, and they had to break up the commotion. They managed to fish Link out safely, before the crowd could consumed him. As Link thanked the cops, a man, dressed in very fancy clothing approached him.
“I’m terribly sorry about that Master Link…”
“Please just call me Link.” He interrupted.
“Very well then Link, right this way.” He led Link to a nearby car that resembled that of a limousine, where they got in and drove off. “We are glad that you are able to attend. I promise you, this tournament is like no other. We only permit the best of the best. Only the…” He looked over at Link to see him sleeping on the couch, against the window. He hadn’t had much sleep on the transport here, due to certain conditions. The man decided to let him rest as they made there way to the stadium.

After probably about an hour, they reached the stadium. The man shook Link to wake him up. “We’re here sir.” Link got up, and as he did, his eyes popped open, looking at a sight beyond imagining. The stadium that was laid out in front of him was massive. It was one of the biggest constructions he had ever seen. The walls of this colossal structure shot upwards about the size of a mountain. As he got out of the car and looked up, he nearly fell backwards just trying to see the top. He could see large flags at the top of the oval-shaped stadium. With his exceptional eyesight, he was able to see several flags with the Hylian crest, blowing in the wind. This tournament must be popular, was what Link said to himself as he gazed up at the gigantic stadium. “This way sir.” He was led to a much smaller building, a few blocks away from the massive structure. As he entered the building, he soon realized it was more like a hotel, and a very classy one at that. “You are the first one to arrive Master Lin – I mean Link. Do you mind waiting in the lobby for the other competitors.
“No I don’t mind.”
“Well then, we’ll return once the other fifteen fighters arrive before we continue from there.” As they left, Link decided to look around the lobby. It was pretty big, with ivy hanging from the walls, two waterfalls on each side of the room, tile flooring, and the room was not really enclosed. He made his way to an armchair and plopped himself down. Boredom overtook him so he leaned back on the chair and fell asleep.

Chapter 7: Friends, Rivals, and Enemies

Link woke up to realize that no one had arrived there yet. He looked at the clock; it had only been six minutes after he fell asleep. He rummaged through his bag and pulled out a small, blue instrument. He also took out a white, cloth and started to clean it. He made sure not to miss a spot, wiping from the body of it, to the mouth piece. He tried to get as much as he could out of the four tiny holes on the base. After he was finished, he put the cloth away, put the mouth piece between his lips, and blew very softly into the ocarina. A single, but harmonious tone fluttered through the air, but soon faded. He closed his eyes, and went into a light melody that softly echoed throughout the room.
“That’s a nice tune you got there.” Link stopped playing and looked up at the man in front of him. He was about the same height as Link, dressed in blue spandex and orange gloves. He had golden boots on and the symbol of a falcon was engraved on the shin of each boot. He was wearing a red helmet that covered his entire head, except for his mouth. The same falcon symbol was also designed on the center of the helmet. On his helmet was a black visor that covered his eyes which looked like white triangles through the visor. “The name’s Captain Falcon, but you can just call me Falcon. You must be one of the fighters in the tournament.”
“Yes I am.” Link replied. “Did you see anyone else coming in?”
“Nah. Right now, were the only ones here. So tell me uhh…”
“Link, sorry, I should have mentioned my name earlier.”
“It’s fine. So, where did you come from?”
“Well, I’ve not really stayed in one place long enough to call it home, but I guess you could say I’m from Hyrule.”
“Hyrule huh? I’m not quite sure I know where that is, but I think I’ve heard of a place like that.”
“I’m not really sure if I know where it is anymore either! Ha Ha! I’ve been gone for so many years.”
“It’s not good to stay away from home for so long. You should go back to see it.”
“Yes, I plan to go as soon as this is over. There are so many people that would be waiting for me, and some that are probably worried sick.” Link was imagining Zelda in his mind when he said that. “So where are you from?”
“I’m a racer in the F-Zero grand Prix. I came from a place called Port Town, but I guess I could say I’m kind of like you in a way.”
“What do you mean?”
“Well I’m also bounty hunter. I move around a lot, hunting bounty heads. I’ve captured quite a bit of people, and I guess you could say I’m the best.”
“Huh! Second best!” Both Link and Falcon turned around to see someone else at the door. It looked like some kind of robot, but the voice was that of a girl’s. It walked towards them. The armor was shaped like a slim girl, except for the shoulders which were big and bulky. It took off its helmet and to Link’s surprise; it was an actual young woman. “You may be good, but I’m better and I always will be!”
“Ha! That’s always like you!” Link, meet my friend Samus.”
“Hi, it’s nice to meet you Link. I’m Samus, the greatest bounty hunter in the galaxy.”
“She likes to think that she’s better than me, but both she and I know that that’s not true.” replied Falcon.
“Yeah right Falcon! I’ll prove to you that I’m the better bounty hunter, when we fight in the ring!” Link decided to leave them alone, and let them argue for a while. As he looked around, more people were already in the lobby. They were all conversing, some quarreling, and some reuniting. Link then realized something; he glanced at his sword, the Master Sword. He realized that his sword could only do harm to those of evil heart. It wouldn’t be any more useful than a fancy club in this tournament. It didn’t bother him anyway. He didn’t want to kill anyone anyway.
“Bowser! What are you-a doin-a here!” Link turned around to see where the noise was coming from. He saw two short men in blue trousers. One of them was short and fat, with a red shirt, white gloves, dark mustache, and a red cap on, with the word “M” imprinted on it. The other man wore almost the same thing except he had on a green shirt and a green cap with the letter “L” on it. Another thing that made him different was that he was a little taller and skinnier. They were both standing next to each other, facing a large beast. It was covered in green scales, with a large turtle shell on his back. The shell had large white spikes protruding out of it. On his head was two sharp horns and fiery red hair coursing down his neck. Both his feet and hands were very large and the nails on them were even more deadly. Obviously, he was the one called Bowser. He was growling angrily at his adversaries, baring his sharp deadly teeth, but the two short men didn’t seem scared at all.
“I’ve come to settle the score with you and your pathetic brother!” shouted the beast.
“You know you don’t-a stand a chance against us!” replied the taller one. “Me and-a Mario always-a kicked your but and we’ll-a do it again!”
“HaHaHa!” laughed the monster, “I doubt that very much!” Bowser trudged off, his head in the air, laughing maniacally. Just then, he accidentally bumped into someone else, a big hairy ape around the same size as himself. “Hey! Watch where you’re going, you big hairy piece of crap!” Bowser shoved the gorilla which sent it flying into a chair. The whole room fell silent as they saw this happen, all eyes were on Bowser. After a few seconds, the gorilla jumped up, his teeth gritted. He marched up to the massive beast until their faces were only a nose-length apart.
“Dude! What the hell is your problem!” spit flew everywhere from the monkey’s mouth when he said this. Some of it landed on Bowser’s forehead, which made him even angrier. A smile stretched across the gorilla’s face. “Obviously, you don’t know who you’re dealing with. I’m DK, the strongest primate ever to step out of Kongo Jungle.” Whispers were heard throughout the crowd. Even Link knew about Kongo Jungle. It was a vast jungle with many dangers. The inhabitants of the jungle have to have a very keen sense of awareness for there was peril around every corner. Any normal warrior wouldn’t last a day in that perilous place. But this monkey, he has lived there his entire life. Just by looking into his eyes, Link could see how focused DK was. He was aware of his entire surroundings, from the colossal beast, Bowser, standing in front of him, to a tiny mosquito flying in circles, across the room. DK would be a very difficult opponent indeed. Bowser knew this, and he knew now wasn’t the time to be messing around with him.
“Wait till the tournament. We’ll settle the score then!” Bowser growled. He then turned away and stomped off in the other direction. He knew that this gorilla would be a much more challenging opponent than Mario or Luigi. Besides he’ll always have time to destroy Mario. Having a fight with DK was his main interest. It was a chance of a lifetime for him, and he was very much excited about it.
Link decided to go sit down again. After he found a comfy armchair, Link plopped down on it, and started to count heads. Fifteen competitors were present, including him. Link was a little uneasy, he didn’t really know any of these people, but they seemed to know each other very much. Just then, a hand touched him on the shoulder. Link turned around, and saw a man, about his height, with glossy blue hair, dressed in fine cloth clothing with a shimmering blue cape, with the emblem of fire marked on it, covering his back. At his waste was a belt; a long sword, encased in a blue and white sheath. The hilt of the sword was golden with a red jewel in the center, and two horned tips on the front of the hilt.
“Marth! I’m so glad to see you again!” Link said in cheerfulness.
“It’s good to see you again too Link.”

Chapter 8: Meeting Marth

Link met Marth during one of his travels. It was nearing night so Link decided to stop at the nearest town for rest and supplies. The village, however, was pretty far off so by the time he got there, it was already dark. It was a feudal, Japanese looking village, with dirt roads and candlelit lampposts placed throughout the village. He went to the marketing area, but unfortunately, they were already closed. With a deep sigh, he trudged off down the dirt path, hoping to find some kind of inn and wait till morning. While he was walking down the hushed, deserted city street, a chilling scream shattered the silence in an instant. Link whirled around and started running in the direction of the scream. He rushed through the desolate streets and through dark alleys to find a young girl surrounded by a group of gangsters. They were enormous thugs with black hair blanketing their exposed chests. It was a group of five of them, all as ugly as the next one. Their teeth were rotten black, and their hair looked like it was drenched with crude oil, and their odor was so rank, that even Link could smell their sickening stench from where he was standing. They were clumped up together, all surrounding one person. Link obviously knew that he was the ringleader. He didn’t look much different from the other thugs except that he was dressed differently. The others were wearing a blue vest with black pants, but he had on a black vest. They had trapped the young girl in a small corner, and it was obvious what their intentions were. The girl was a beautiful young lass around the age of seventeen or eighteen. She had the look of horror on her face as she sat on the dirt floor, with her hands close to her heart. She was wearing a white dress that went down to her knees. Her face was a silky smooth coloring, just like the rest of her body. She had fairly long hair that went a little passed her shoulders, but it also was in a ponytail. The color of h
