Timeless - Tales of the Righteous

This is meant to be a more *serious* story, meaning there will be none of my cheesy and somewhat dry humor; this fiction is 100% devoted to seriousness. It describes three major themes: our flaws as human beings, the power of an individual, and the impact that friendshps have on our lives. Even the foreword (for lack of a better term) is completely solemn. However, that doesn't mean I dont want you to enjoy my fiction, as it promises to be jam-packed with action, mystery, and suspense until the very end.

VOLUME I – “BEFORE THE STORM”

This world has seen many Ages, each distinctly different from the last. With an alteration of time comes a modification in space, and so with each passing Age comes a new world, in an unending cycle of death and rebirth; desolation and renaissance; destruction and resurgence. Ever enduring is this world, unable to fade so long as it is sustained. Through all the Ages the world has constantly been watching its inhabitants, watching them live, watching them die, watching them strive to discover its mysteries only to dismiss them once they’re satisfied. Time and time again, human nature has defied the natural order of things.

The human soul is a unique thing. Unlike anything else of the earth, human beings possess personality, individualism, and self. They can think independently, express themselves in art and literature, and display character. Humans have a capacity for emotion, a component that sets them apart from all Creation. Their emotions allow them to think, feel, and hurt. Unlike their fellow creatures, the human being can have ideas, voice opinions, feel sorrow and joy, but can also feel loss. Not empty loss, like a mother hen losing her chicks, but real heartbreak, like a lover losing his sweetheart. However, this flaw is easily balanced by another human emotion – love.

Love is a powerful guiding force through human life. It spawns hope, which is fundamental to human health. Without hope there is not determination and willpower and without these they are no different than any of the other beings to walk the earth. But lately humans have defied their way, have strayed from the path of love and gone instead down a road of sin, of lies and deceit. They fool themselves through substance abuse, coition, and other false, purely secular ‘pleasures’ which cannot possibly substitute for true happiness. True happiness is only found through faith and love, because only these two driving forces make us who we are.

Without faith, we are lost. Without love, we are detached. Without either of these, we are nothing.

This is the story of a group of individuals and their struggle to hope and to love, even against all the evils of this world.
