Introduction: Kelta's history

The folllowing account is that of Dasarune Shemse Hikari I. The first ruler of the land of Kelta since Calma Vala Hikari to not inherit the crown of Kelta. But long before his tale began there was Calma Vala, who united the torn and tattered country under his rule and brought together what is today the Empire of Kelta.
A few things must be known before all can be told of Dasarune's tale can be told. First off Keltan lore tells of Kelta, the land of light, being created by the god of light, Hikari; for whom the Hikari family is named and believed to be descended from. All the date's in the following accounts are in Keltan time. The initials following the dates are the initials of the ruling king of that time. For instance in Keltan time the date of 100 C.V., the C.V. is representative of Calma Vala who ruled during that time. Since the Hikari Dynasty has been the only Dynasty in Kelta, there was felt no need to put a H in the year date initials.

Now I supppose your wondering what Kelta has to do with Hyrule. Kelta lies to the north of Hyrule and was, up until Nanuk-Dorag, a faithful and loving ally to Hyrule. However Hyrule does not fully come into the picture really until Dasarune Shemse Hikari's time.
You may also be asking what the people of Kelta are. They are in fact very similar, in fact almost Identical to Hylians. The way to tell the difference between a Kelten and a Hylian is quite simple-Keltens' ears are mere millimeters smaller than that of Hylians. Also Keltens are taller than Hylians naturally.

As has been stated Calma Vala Hikari was the first man, the first Hikari, to rule the entire country of Kelta.
Keltan lore places their god, Kei, as the lover of Farore, whereby the royal line came to into existence. This is a belief of many of the Kelten citizens, it is their myth and religion. Their practice: To worship Kei and obey faithfully his children, the Hikari.

The country of Kelta is believed to have been created by Kei, the god of light. It was believed that he created a people and land to compliment the people created by his lover, Farore. This is where the land of Kelta comes into the picture. It is a commonly accepted fact that Kelta is a much younger land than Hyrule. And the people there, believing themselves to be 'compliments' to Hylians have thus had an admiration and care for the Hylian people.

In the beginning of Kelta's history is that of a bloody war. Before Calma Hikari was even born, Kelta was split into several warring tribes. They constantly battled for land and even matters which were personal between tribal leaders.
Calma was born into the clan of Antar, and, known to very few Keltens, was a twin. He was not even born into the Tribe's ruling family yet due to the state of war the tribe was at, Calma was trained as soon as he was able in the ways of war. And as all children trained that early, he showed a particular skill with the blade. One thing that Calma had which set him apart from the other children, was that Calma somehow had a strange ability to make himself glow at times. It was a strange ability which to this day has yet to be fully explained aside from magic. This is, as far as scholars are concerned, what gave rise to the belief of his being of deified descent.

As for Calma's twin, who was ironically named Avathar-meaning shadows. Avathar was trained just as well as his brother Calma, yet Avather seemed to enjoy battle a bit too much. In fact as the boys grew older, Avathar seemed to show more skill in battle than Calma did. The difference was that Calma was much better in strategy and wisdom.
Of the two brothers Calma was much more loved and popular, yet Avathar was much more respected and feared.
The strangest thing about this relationship between these brothers was that in friendly competitions and sibbling rivalry matches that neither could prevail over the other. No matter how hard each trained and tried, their battles always ended in a draw. This was frustrating to both brothers, yet Avathar built up a bitterness inside his heart and let that bitterness consume him over time.

When the two boys came of Age the Tribal leader, who's own sons had been killed in war, named the two to rule the tribe together. His theory was that since they were twins they should have no problem with ruling the country together. Calma, being the eldest of the two, would have more power than Avathar. Mind you this was the same man who had gone to war with a neighboring tribe over their standard having 1 of the same color of his own tribe. And it was that war in which he lost his sons. Needless to say this was not one of the wisest of the Tribal Leaders of that time. Some even believe that his mind was overwhelmed by the loss of his sons, and thus he was driven subtely mad.
Well needless to say this did not sit well with Avathar; however, Avathar submitted to his brother for a time, knowing the potential power they could gain together.
Calma used and improved on his strange ability, and even added others such as making small light shows and other magic feats, to his advantage. It was through this that he proclaimed himself a descendent of Kei and therefore the rightful heir to rule all of Kelta. Some believed, and pledged themselves to him. He was able add to his army by his proclamation and abilities. Now his army had more than tripled in size and every person in his army was a zealot willing to fight for their king, for their god's son.

For those who didnt believe-war. Hikari and Avathar embarked on a campaign of conquest. With Calma's strategy and Avathar's skill they accrued victory after victory.
As their number of victories grew, several other tribes-out of fear-joined the Hikari cause. After 16 years of their conqest the Hikari brothers, 36, attacked the capitol of their final adversaries, the Tehutmag tribe. Their city was well defended, but ultimately the Hikari clan, as it came to be called had massive advantages: Strategy, skill, zeal, and they had overwhelming numbers. In the end the Hikari's won easily enough.
That was the start of the Hikari Dynasty. Hikari returned to his boyhood town of Estrael and there was crowned King Calma Vala Hikari I. The prime minister of Kelta was of course, Avathar.

At last Avathar saw his oppurtunity to seize power. While alone with Calma Avathar drew his sword to Calma. Calma was no fool and over their campaign deduced Avathar's plan. Calma and Avathar there in Calma's garden they fought their greatest battle. But as is part of their twin curse, neither prevailed. Both fought with every fiber of strength and then some, yet not Calma nor Avathar could gain the upper hand. At last both fell in exhaustion and could not even unclasp their swords. It was in this time that Calma, lacking his very breath, made the deal which would forever separate his brother's descendants and himself.
Calma gave all the land to the far northeast to Avathar. The reason this was decided was because that section of Kelta bordered a large Urukow dwelling. Avathar knew this yet since his heart was probably just as wicked as theirs he thought he would have an ally in them. In the future this would be proven both right and wrong.
Avathar changed his name from Hikari to Kishnia, which in a different form in various other human tounges meant dark.
It was in this that the land of Kishnia(k)* came into existence.

Avathar had a large following of 'warriors' as they called themselves. In fact, they merely had their leader's bloodthirst.


*Kishnia means shadow in Kelten, yet Kishniak means devil's work which the people of Kelta believed.
