My take on the origin of Zelda.

There's going to be a few changes expecially with the Triforce of wisdom and the seven years

The Imprisoning War. By Cole
In an ancient land of legends, there are many tales; this is one of them.
There has been peace in the land for decades now. Recently though, a man from the west came to the north of the land were the castle lies. He’s claiming to pledge allegiance to the king. Secretly though he is plotting to take over the ancient land, he terrorized the different races of Hyrule to give him the sacred keys to attain the great power that is hidden in the land, in the shape of a triangle. No one suspected him, but one. The princess of destiny summoned forth a young boy garbed in green to be the protector of the land. Seven years had past. The man from the west revealed his true intentions, he stole the ancient triangle, but to his dismay the triangle broke into three separate pieces. He only attained one. The others went to there owners of destiny. With the power of the gods the man from the west became the great king of evil. It transformed him into the shape that he was in his heart, a monster. He and his army of monsters, shaped in his own image, attacked the castle. It was a bloody battle that went on for days. The kingdom seemed to be winning. But not all is so. On the fourth day, on the fourth hour, the Evil King arrived. He slaughtered the army like lambs. There was three of his minions left, and only three of the castle guards with one hapless jester in the castle. When all hope had seemed to be lost, the hour of doom was at hand… but suddenly the boy in green appeared as if from nowhere. Wielding the sword of evils bane he charged at the King of evil. The boy was holding a part of the triangle of legend, a piece that the Evil king could not obtain. The battle was like a battle of Gods, so magnificent and terrible was the power from them. At last the sword of evils bane struck the evil king for the final time, leaving the evil king destroyed and the boy dissapeared in the legend. What happened to the third piece of the triangle? None remain who know…

What do you think? Thats my take on OOT. I'll probaly do it for other games as well.

It is a good base for a fiction. You had meant to create something out of this idea had you not? I fancy the "political aspect" of it!

Re: My take on the origin of Zelda.

Thanks, yeah I was thinking about doing like a whole scale story about this. This was kinda the teaser or something and it's not going to be based soley on Link, it's going to be more of a observer point of veiw from all around.
