Hylian Lemon's MIDI collection

Here's a link to my freewebs site, where you'll find all of my completed MIDIs. Mostly Zelda remixes, although there are a few originals. I have quite a few more I'm working on. Anyway, if you like them, then leave a comment, and tell me which you like best. Or critique! Some of the stuff on there is kinda old, although I didn't put up the REALLY old stuff...I only put up the stuff I don't find too embarrassing.

Hylian Lemon's MIDIs

My favorite one is still unfinished, even though it's been close for a while. It's a Stone Tower remix...I had made one a long time ago, but it was terrible, so I decided to try again. I may post it if people want.

I think you're very talented! I love your originals, especially. They're good enough for a game. My favourites are the Snowy Village theme, and for the remixes, the Angel Tears piece.

Yes, Angel Teardrops was an excellent remix, done with piano, ocarina, choir, marimba, electric bass, and percussion.

EDIT: Yes, of course! Please post the piece.

Hey~ You've got some pretty spiffy stuff here, actually. The sound quality is a bit iffy at some points, which is typica lwith MIDIs, but overall, you've got this stuff down. If you had the proper programs to make a high quality mp3 remix I bet you'd do wonders. Angel Teardrops, for example, if made into such a piece, would place in the top tiers of VGmix, I'll bet. It's a wonderful variation of the original theme. I've listened to alot this and I must say it's excellent stuff.

Please, do post your WIP.

Thanks! Yeah, Angel Teardrops has always seemed to be pretty popular. Well, here's the Stone Tower remix. I've got 1:56 so far.

You know what these remixes remind me of? What I do when I hum video game music. I make it all fancy and change the note lengths to my liking, as well as add my own notes and make it all roll, sort of. Of course, minus the nice backgorund instruments and all.

Just curious... did you get the ideas for those extra notes and odd note lengths from times you were humming the songs and playing around with them during the hum?

Thanks, again! Yeah, GC, that's EXACTLY what I do. I hum songs in bed or on my paper route, and change stuff around. That's how I got started making remixes. I kept requesting on ocremix's forums, but nobody there cares, so I just decided to try out making MIDIs. Of course I was awful at first, but with the help of the people at vgmusic.com, I've improved a lot, lol. You'd have to hear my first stuff to know what I mean. They were on vgmusic's unused music list, but they're gone now...
