Prologue

My name is Arca, I come from Strathaven. I feel is my duty to pass one my friends story. What he fought for what was little more than peace. For when ever the Kingdom was in peril, he rose to the challenge to fight back the darkness and its onslaught of demons. Sadly this story will not end so happily.
For the events that occurred in this story are ones know one could have foreseen. But please, Let me start from the beginning.

Chapter 1 : Shadows Return

It was about seven years after the sealing of Ganondorf that things began to change. The first thing to change was My Home town Strathaven had descended from its Sky bound perch. The floating Kingdom landed roughly on the outskirts of Hyrule. Being the head commander of the royal guard. It was my duty to speak with the King of this Land. The Town was Busy, Adults fought and bickered at one another trying to get lower prices. Children ran around freely chasing the chickens around. The town was very same in comparison to StratHaven. I approached the Castle unaware of their recent lock down, but I should have predicted it considering an island had just fell from the sky, as I came upon the gate I was greeted by well armored guards. One stepped forward and in a deep demanding voice spoke.

“ Who are you!”
“My Name is Arca, head commander of StratHaven’s Army.”
“StratHaven? Hmmmm… What do you want.”
“I was sent here to talk with your king.”
“Very Well.”

The man slammed his spear into the ground. Suddenly the gate opened. I was quickly ushered into the Kings throne room. The walls where very decorated with pictures of royal family members, But one stood out from the rest it was of a boy about my age he stood awkward in the painting as unable to stand still. He was also dressed in all green instead of the Royal Blues. When the guard finally left my side I found myself amidst a very Large Throne, but sitting in it was not a King but the boy from the painting. He was sitting in it side ways with his head on one arm rest and his legs over the other. Confused I spoke in a respectful manner as I went down on one knee.

“King of Hyrule I have come from StratHaven. The floating island that fell from the sky this morning.”

The boy sat up looking as confused as I was. His eyes flickered and was suddenly at my side, in a quick but sure voice he whispered.

“Follow me”

Chapter 2: Race to fate

He shot off with amazing speed. I quickly decided it was time to stopped moving on foot. I focused energy from the fire gem attached to my necklace. Slowly my feet left the ground, and soon I was on my way, Too a fate no one could have saw. I chased him to a church like building. It was strange that if listening closely you could music emanating from the confines of the structure. I found the Boy sitting on top of the main alter. He was playing on a flute, the music was almost magical, but before I knew what was happening the Wall behind him began opening. The boy stopped playing and turned around, his expression showed the he didn’t know what was happening. Through the space that the wall once took up, I could see a sword driven into a pedestal. The Boy Ran into the pedestal room. As I entered I felt a great evil swarm around me. From the sword Rang a Voice.

“You thought I was gone. You thought this seal would hold me back. My power is boundless , Now Hyrule Fear your Nightmares for the Great King of Evil is Finally released!”

King of Evil……. Had I known who he was and what kind of power he had I would have tried to stop it. The Blade Driven into the Stone Shot toward the Ceiling. Suddenly a massive rush of power pushed both the boy and I into the previous room. The walls crumbled around us. As the dust cleared I saw a man standing where the pedestal once was, he stood up right but breathed heavily his body pulsed with unimaginable power. He slowly walked toward the Boy, Each step left a indention on the ground. He lifted the boy from the ground by his neck, on the boys left hand flickered a triangular symbol. There where three triangles that made one but only two where lit up but suddenly the top one went out and appeared on the Man’s Hand. He dropped the boy turned around and looked at me his fiery eyes gave way is intentions. The man shot his head back and laughed. I watched as the man rose from the ground his eyes searched the horizon. I looked back over at the boy who was now being assisted by boy who dressed like the legendary Shiekah Tribe. They both rose from the ground, the man turned around and looked at them and only grinned. The Sheikah Let go a powerful beam of light that the man merely knocked away at the swipe of his hand. The Boy Jumped foreword with no weapon but was met in midair with the Blade that was in the stone. He swung the blade with a mighty heave. The Man caught the blade with the flat of his hand and snapped it in half. The boy was quickly driven into the ground by one mighty punch. The man laughed yet again he slowly drifted upward into the sky. He opened a dimensional rift, laughed and said these word as he faded into the Rift.

“Termina is where I shall rain and upon my head shall sit the Mask of Chaos!”

Chapter 3: New Fears

Shortly after we brought the boy back to the castle, we found that fate had thrown us a wild card. After I finally met the king and explained our predicament. He agreed to assist my city in its hour of need, shortly after my meeting and getting cleaned up, I learned that we were in for more than just a little quarrel. The man that came from the pedestal was named Ganondorf and he was the sole man who almost brought down the entire nation of Hyrule. After some explaining from the princess I realized that the boy was a savior of the land. Link Finally woke up but it was sometime before he completely recovered. When he did I told him what happened and where Ganondorf was going. The emotions that covered Links face told me we were in for it. He quickly gathered his things but when he went for his sword he stopped. He looked at it, the blade its self was snapped in two. I put a hand on his shoulder and told him of my cities great blacksmiths. Hopefully They could do something. Link and I walked toward the door when we heard a voice from behind us.

“Be careful Link and what did you say your name was?”
“Arca”

She apologized for her forgetfulness and then sat down in he chair behind her.
It was hard to believe that Link was a hero his attitude was right but he just didn’t look like one, but maybe looks are deceiving. It was some time before we arrived at StratHavens Gates.

“Open the gates Sir Arca is here!”

The gate slowly opened. My town was full of shoppers and children. How strange it was to see all of them so calm. Links eyes wondered from shop to shop, his adventures mind was at work every shop he stopped to look. When we finally got to the blacksmiths, Link had already looked through every weapon sellable.

“How can I help you Boys.”

I turned to see my uncle coming from the back of the shop.

“Uncle Jrew, How are you?”
“I’m Great, Now who’s your friend here.”
“His names..”
“Link”
“Anyway we want to know if you can fix something for us.”
“Let me see it and I can tell you what I can do.”

I handed him the broken blade. I sad look came over my uncle, His expression said enough. He wasn’t able to fix it. I still had an idea, long ago there was a book that taught the warriors of StratHaven how to combine energy with a weapon in case it broke. There was one problem the book was in the royal library. After I said goodbye to my uncle and tore Link away from the weapons, we journeyed to the library. Upon arrival the library was already full of people. The royal library was in the back, there they stored books on ancient magic’s and spells but the book I was looking for was special. it was kept in the basement where the preserved it with magic. We made our way to the back, once inside it was dangerous to walk on the ground due to the alarms and what not, but it was easy for me to slip by, Link, on the other hand had trouble watching his step. After many complicated events we finally made it down stairs. Getting he book wasn’t as hard as I thought. I released the magic lock and began to read.
