The cup of wisdom
The cup of wisdom I once held
But all it did was put me though hell I was dumb then I would tell Where I once had spelled The cup of wisdom I did held Fire burned my house one night It was my pure fright A hellish blaze that burned the night A fell into the burning hell Cup of wisdom I still held I live that night with a burn Nothing more then a childish scratch The doctors say there was nothing to match I find a place to stay the night The cup of wisdom I still held The next day I walk down the street So I did meet two thuggish men They did try to take my cup But I would not let them I was beat to sleep The cup of wisdom I still held When I wake in the death I find no cup in hand My cruse was broken From which my hand No longer do I hold the cup Some unlucky thug does now. by fuzzycoat
