Heaven's Guard

"Say goodbye...", the man said to Thomas. The man grabbed a gun and shot Thomas twice trough his head. The man then walked away to some other men. Together they stepped in a car and drove away, like nothing happened.

Suddenly, Thomas opened his eyes. He felt really weird, as if he fell in a pool and all his cloathes were soaked. He looked around a bit. He heard policecars coming. When the cops came in the house, they immediatly went to Thomas. "It's okay, I'm fine.", he said to the policemen. Strangely, the policemen didn't hear him. "Hello?", said Thomas, waiting for a response. Then he saw that they weren't coming towards Thomas but to something dark right next to Thomas. "I'm over here!" shouted Thomas. The policemen didn't hear him. He completely ignored him. 'What the crap?', he thought. When Thomas looked better at the spot the policemen were examining, he immediatly knew why the policemen ingnored him. He saw his own body lying on the ground...

"No... This can't be... I'm not dead I'm still here... This is not real..." said Thomas in disbelief. "Search your feelings, you know it to be true." said someone. The voice sounded kind, but also a tad hellish. Thomas looked around. He saw someone with a black cloak, holding a scythe. His face looked very white, as if he hasn't been out of his house for years. "Who are you?", asked Thomas. "You know who I am.", answered the cloaked man. "Go on. Say my name." he said slowly.

"Your name's... Death. Or better known as the Grim Reaper.", answered Thomas. "Bingo.", said Death. "But do you know why I am here?"
Thomas said nothing. "Well?", said Death. "You've come to get me..." said Thomas. "You're smarter then you look.", said Death. A chair appeared out of nowhere. Death went to it and sat on it. "Those policemen are wasting their time. They got you good.", said Death pretty clearly. "Grave. I curse that name.", said Thomas. "They might be your murderers Thomas... But they are still humans and equal to you... If you curse them, you are just as bad as them... But don't worry. Come with me. And all will be clear."

I'll give you what I've written by now... Here you go.

Death took Thomas to a door. A door that Thomas hasn't noticed when he ran through the buliding. Strangely, while the room was dark and damp, the door was clean and white. "Go ahead.", said Death. "What are you waiting for?" "Isn't it locked?", asked Thomas. He could remember that most of the doors in the house were locked. "No.", said Death. "Locking is but an illusion of the human mind. Nothing is safe." Thomas touched the doorhandle. He opened the door. When he walked in he saw a black gaping hole. He could not see how deep it was, but it was at least 6 foot long. "Holy crap!" he said. "How am I going to pass it?" he asked Death. "Simple. Walk.", he answered.
"But I'll fall."
"Will you?"
"Duh."
"I ensure you that gravity will not do what it's supposed to do."
Thomas breathed in, and walked. He stopped after two steps and looked down... He was walking over a shining white bridge...

"Well, this is a shock.", said Thomas. "Listen. Puns are from 1991. Now go.", said Death. "Fine.", said Thomas and he walked ahead. "Where are we going anyway?", he asked. "You'll see." After a few seconds he saw a white light emerging at the horizon. "And stop." said Death. "Why?", asked Thomas.
"I need to tell you something."
"This'll be good."
"Look down."
Thomas walked to the side of the bridge and looked down. What he saw there was unbelievable. Instead of being black, everything was red. Fires were burning and the walls were covered with blood. When Thomas listened he could hear a sinister laugh, followed by screaming. "This is The Gate.", said Death. "Gate? What Gate?", asked Thomas. "The Gate of Hell. If you are a bad person and you move along, you fall down and never return." "So, if I make one more step, I could fall down and live in Hell for the rest of all eternity?", asked Thomas. "Yes. But, you can also go back and live in the Spirit World.", said Death. "Spirit World?" "The world, but for the dead. They have chosen not to walk this bridge, and take the chance of getting into Hell."
"And, if I don't fall down, where do I end up?", asked Thomas. "Heaven.", said Death. "So it's everything or nothing. Well, here I go." Thomas set a step forward, closing his eyes. When he opened them again he was still on the bridge and the white light was in front of him...

"Do you have anything to say before you go?", asked Death. "Yeah", said Thomas. "What am I supposed to do now?" Step in the light.", answered Death. Thomas put one foot in the light. "Oh, before I leave, one more thing." said Thomas. "What?", asked Death. "Don't be so mysterious.", said Thomas. "It gets on people's nerves." "Just step in the Light already!" Thomas stepped in the Light, dissappeared, and the Light closed.

"And that boy is supposed to protect the world?", Death asked himself. "He better knows what he is doing..."
