Godzilla vs. King Ghidrah; the Three Headed Monster
Ahh, here we go again. Next weekend I will hopefully put a close to my second Godzilla fic "Godzilla vs. Geershard" but for now, being that I'm behind, I will start the third, and easily best fic-to-be so far, and possibily the best overall "Godzilla vs. King Ghidrah; the Three Headed Monster" This one is sure to be a true epic, with tons of Kaiju action, awesome characters *both new and old!* and a fine selection of Kaiju for another 1970's feel of the Godzilla films. New abilties will be found, especially with two Showa legends returning, Rodan and Varan! You'll be sure to love this one!
By Mirren Prelude Surrounding the Earth, planets, and stars, is a blanket of endless mass. It hovers within the space about us, black, cold, and without air. It is which holds the galaxies, black holes, universes, and what other physical giants that stand inanimate. The continuous frontier, not even a fraction explored yet, not even known what else lies out there… It is space, the mysterious realm that hangs above all humans, and keeps the many worlds close to it, isolated inside their own galaxies. The suns, moons, and stars glowing with light, the rays flying through vacuums at speeds that cannot be comprehended. Balls of fire are suspend in the skies of space, their blazes heating all around them, enough to even keep the planets and stars around them at warm temperatures. These are but a few of the wondrous objects that can be found in our solar system, yet so much more remains to be found. Other solar systems, more galaxies, black-holes that can lead to new worlds. Groups of asteroids, meteors, stars and moons not yet touched by a human, or their technology. Life, that is thought to be living, on the other end of the spectrum from mankind. Creatures with intelligences and equipment superior to man’s in every form, or gigantic monsters that can wipe out a planet in seconds. What is for sure known? Nothing. But there is something that lives out there, slumbering as it moves closer and closer to our solar system at such velocity that no other living thing in space can keep up with it. Its target; Earth… This huge sphere of fire, a monstrous crystal that flies through space, the speed so great that blazes burn upon it. It soars past the largest of planets and moons, nearing the planet Earth and its region of revolution. Inside the diamond-like prison, sleeps a titanic beast with the strength of a god. It’s fury the most deadly weapon, and it’s strength, unmatched. A monster of three minds, power that has yet to be halted. Every world it has come to has been ravaged, and turned into nothing by miles of dust and rock. It is the creature that ends life, whatever it chooses to attack next, it is not stopped. And that is exactly what it thinks as it enters the atmosphere of planet Earth… Plummeting through all layers; the exosphere, the mesosphere, the stratosphere, and finally the troposphere. Through this all, the speed of falling onto a new planet, the crystal is burdened by heat that could melt a meteor; yet its smooth surface is not singed, barely even heated, and the giant inside it continues to sleep like a dormant bear during winter. Only spotted by a select few of astronomers and research facility, it comes down onto Earth almost completely unnoticed, and then lands where none will find. The enormous crystal smashes into the North Pole, on one of the very few islands made of pure ice, the rest of the region covered by freezing waters, a sea of blizzards it is called. Shaking the isle, and creating a massive explosion of snow and frozen water is sent high into the sky, and with a noise so loud it nearly echoes all the way down to where the humans live peacefully. In a few seconds, it dies down, and the clouds slowly begin to fall. The crystal begins to cool, and now lays motionless. Inside, the behemoth still slumbers, resting until it feels time to awake, and make its might known onto this most populated, technological, and cultural planet; Earth… |

Re: Godzilla vs. King Ghidrah; the Three Headed Monster
^ Oooh, a fanboy of the uber turtle I see
Quote:
Going onto the fic, this is the third story in a six-tale series, so it continues with a same cast of characters overall, and no where main descriptions will be put into the narration. So, if you wish to see what they look like and their origins, read this excert from the first story "Godzilla vs. the Rodans", and three other character explanations will come soon... Quote:
Oh yeah, here's the beginning to chapter 1 Chapter 1- The Girl Named Ameera; Words from an Old Friend Monday November 6th, 10:32 A.M. Chicago Department of Kaijuology The “Windy City” was at a normal day. The sky was a light grey, and cool breeze blew through the steel and concrete metropolis. Only a portion of the cars that were inside it were driving down the streets, due to the still-early hour. Not all had awoken yet from their night’s sleep, though the majority of adults were hard at work, or driving to it, and all the children and young teens were sitting at their desks in school, whatever class they may be in. Shops and stores were all open by now, especially the malls, that amazingly had many customers even now, a good while before noon would roll around. The CDK (Chicago Department of Kaijuology) Tower was nearly empty. About six scientists stayed in one room, doing some personal research each. Even in America there were Kaijuologists, the CDK one of the biggest, next to the one that the youngest member of G-Force Michael worked in, within New York. While the legendary team of Kaiju researchers performed their work in Japan, where the most giant monsters were sited, the USA joined up in the study of the magnificent beasts, already with nearly ten labs across the country. Though, even they got their own taste of giant monsters. In 1998, a huge creature, bearing a slight semblance to Godzilla, made its way from France to New York City. A more peaceful creature, the beast simply came to lay its eggs, to increase the size of its face. Though that was not meant to be, as its spawning was interrupted by several military attacks, all failing to kill the beast that had speed like no other monster. When all the eggs were destroyed inside the Madison Square Garden Arena, the beast became trapped within the suspension wires on the Brooklyn Bridge, and the American Jets finished it off. While America’s sole encounter with a Kaiju was extremely minor, that being that the creature was killed by mere missiles, and caused very little damage overall, that being due to that it wasn’t even coming to destroy anything, the country became fascinated by all the giant monsters, and when learning of Japan’s many encounters, tagged along in the study of Kaiju. As said before, ten labs were already built and operating perfectly, in bigger, more populated locations like New York, Florida, California, Texas, and even Ohio and Indianapolis. They worked non-stop in trying to keep up with Japan’s knowledge of the behemoths, doing careful study of the ones that lived in the present day, and even the creatures that roamed the world back decades ago. Though, the CDK Tower in Chicago had taken a day off, so-to-say. After a full week of some of the roughest research on the latest creature that came to Japan, Geershard, the board had decided to give everybody a break, this Monday being that day. But also as stated before, a few of the scientists came in for their own work, but there was one that did not come into her building for Kaiju study, but instead a private project. The young woman, Ameera Russel, a top-Kaijuologist of the CDK, sat inside her office alone, the door closed and a one light on as the window shades stayed up above the windows. She was a girl of twenty-two, and for years had been studying Kaiju, often traveling to other countries like China, Russia, and even Japan for her work. A beautiful woman, with dazzling copper-red hair that flowed down to her back, and face that could almost seem ‘angelic’ at times. As of now, she sat at her desk, a piece of paper with a wonderful rose border about it as she continuously wrote more upon it. Her blue pen zipping on the sheet endlessly, writing more and more of the note as it stretched further and further down the paper. After almost a minute, she took the tip off the sheet, and closed the pen as she lifted up her letter. It read- Hey guys, it’s Ameera! How’ve you been? I heard about everything with Geershard, Baragon, Angilas and Godzilla in Japan, and that you all had to watch over everything. I’m glad to hear that you’re all okay though, especially when you got so close to Geershard and Godzilla in Sendai. In case you’re wondering, things have been good here. I have the day off today, but I came in just for about an hour. I had to finish some extra work, and I wanted to get this letter done before I begin packing. I got my plane tickets already, and it’ll be leaving tomorrow. Hopefully I’ll be there by Wednesday evening, and see you guys before midnight. Actually, I think I hope this letter gets to you before that! I’m really excited to be coming there, and especially to see all of you again, it’s been so long. I should be there for about a week and a half, so we’ll have a lot of time to visit. Even more, I’m really happy to hear that we’ll get to work together again, even if it’s for a short amount of time. Well, I guess I’ll leave anymore talking for when I arrive there. Can’t wait to see you all! Sincerely, Ameera Smiling at the message, she then folded it in half, and grabbed a white envelope. A single lick of it made it perfect for closing, and after sticking the piece of paper inside of it, tightened it shut. Placing an address sticker on it, she then wrote down quickly for whom it was to, and placed her pen aside. Ameera stood up, and after putting her coat on, began to walk out from her office. “Now just to mail this thing…” she said to herself quietly. * * * Tuesday November 7th, 1:04 P.M. G-Force Base outside Kyoto, Landing Zone A sole Japanese Postal Service helicopter sat on the concrete floor of the landing plaza in front of the large G-Force Kaijuologist Facility. Its blades still spun at an undetectable speed, waiting to lift off once more when the other pilot would return. The young Japanese man walked to the front door on a fine-sized porch, and rang the doorbell. Knowing that the building was large, and the majority of the time a mere five people populated it, he waited patiently for the first of the residents to answer him. After about a minute, the door open, and the young American man Eric greeted the mailman with a smile. “Hello” he formally said. The postal worker smiled and nodded back, handing him a small pile of assorted mail. “Your mail sir” he replied. Eric took the papers, and nodded. “Ah, thank you. Good-day” he said, and then closed the door as the postal worker ran back to the helicopter. Once everything was closed up, the young man looked through the pile, reading off what the letters were one by one. A few bills, magazine subscription offers, sports magazines, Michael’s weekly Anime and Manga magazine, and finally a single blue enveloped. His curiosity piqued, Eric looked at the return address, and quickly smiled. Inside one of the dormitories, the rest of G-Force sat working on a computer each with some kind of work. The group had been fine since Geershard’s attack, and now they were catching up on research that was put off due to all the action from their last Kaiju adventure. Takao and Akira sat next to each other, while Amy and Michael were placed together. As they worked, Eric walked in with the mail, and Amy briskly spotted it. “So, what came today?” she asked. Eric once again looked through the pile, making it seem like he didn’t know at first of what had come. “Ahh some bills for me and Takao” he began, dropping a few on the floor and spinning Takao’s one bill at him, “a magazine offer for you” he went on, tossing it at Amy, “Akira’s sports magazine” also hurling it at the big man, “Michael’s anime magazine” Instantly the boy’s face lit up and he spun around in his chair to face Eric. “Dude sweet!” the lad exclaimed, then catching basically the only mail he ever got. Eric then smirked, and showed off the blue envelope. “And a letter from Ameera” the young man stated. Everyone except Michael almost snapped their heads at Eric to face him, Amy’s face beaming. “Really!?” she said. “Oh man read it!” Takao added. Eric chuckled a little, and opened up the letter. After reading what she had written aloud, Akira leaned back in his chair smirking. “Ahh so she’ll be coming tonight, that’s something to look forward to” he commented. “Oh yeah, it’s been at least a year since we saw her” Takao added, looking back at the muscular member. Amy smiled. “That’s great, I’ve been excited to see her since she mentioned it. A week and a half with finally another girl in this place” the young woman said, and then laughed. Eric chuckled a bit still from her own comment. “Yeah, I’m glad to see her too. I wish we could see her more often, she’s such a cool girl” the young man added. Michael had now taken his entire attention away from his Manga Magazine, and stared at everyone as if they had horns growing from their hindquarters. “Uhh…what just happened?” he questioned. Everyone looked over at Michael, and Amy laughed a little. “Oh yeah that’s right, we never told you about her” she said, finding it amusing. Michael cocked an eyebrow a bit. “Who’s her?” he asked on. “Ameera’s an old friend of ours, who we know through her father, a famous Kaijuologist from America. She’s also studying to be one, and we’ve helped up with a lot of research. She’ll be coming here tonight and staying for about a week and a half, to visit and to help around with some work. She’s a few years younger than Amy, and really cool. I think you’ll like her” Eric explained. Michael gave almost an uncaring expression as his eyes closed and as he stood up from his chair. “Whatever, I have no comment” he said with a slight insensitive tone, though this of course was him trying to sound tough, though it certainly was that he didn’t care whatsoever. “I’ll be upstairs” the boy stated then, and left the room, carrying his magazine. Takao smiled at him. “I have a big feeling he’s not gonna have that kinda attitude once she’s here for about three days” the young man remarked. “Nonsense, knowing him he’ll literally be attached to her by tomorrow afternoon” Akira added, trying not to laugh. Amy chuckled a little. “I can’t say I’ll be surprised, especially that I bet she’ll like him just as much” the girl said. Eric smirked, and glanced back at the doorway where Michael had left. “Ya know, I bet you’ll all be right…” Michael wasn’t too far from them at all, due to that he wasn’t walking fast whatsoever. Being only down a couple hallways from them, and that their voices echoed, he could hear what they were saying just fine. By now he had an almost bitter look on his face. “Ehh shut yer mouths” he simply muttered under his breath about them. As he continued walking, he began to think more about her, meditating on what everyone said, and trying to picture in his mind what Ameera would be like. Perhaps he really could grow to her… “Feh, if she’s hot then I guess it’ll be a good time” the lad added to himself. Last edited by Mirren; 01-16-2005 at 10:53 PM. |

Re: Godzilla vs. King Ghidrah; the Three Headed Monster
Hey, it's Rena! Thanks, I didn't expect to find you here ^_~
Here's the end to the chapter- 2:13 P.M. Honshu Self-Defense Force Base It had been a peaceful, and very well-deserved three months of rest for the Honshu Self Defense Force Base. Once Geershard had been killed, and Baragon, Angilas and Godzilla all left Japan, their countless military attacks and defense lines took a break, and as the country rebuilt from its losses, the JSFD relaxed in this time of peace, running regular operations and drills, and working on creating more attack vehicles and weapons. One such person who of course was pleased by this tranquility was Sergeant Major Yugo Haino. Since everything with Geershard had ended, the young man did everything in his power to make sure he didn’t overwork himself again. During that most recent Kaiju attack, he had truly labored to the limit, and became very stressful at the time. Almost losing control at certain points from all the pressure and amazing amount of tasks he had to complete, it was in no way a good memory for him, and because of that he even took an entire week off from work for medical reasons. Aiding him to his emotional recovery was his ever-loyal assistant and advisor, Miss Misato Uehara. The young woman called him every day during his break, conversing with him for an hour almost each time, speaking happily and calmly with him as his recuperation went on. Yugo believed that a good deal of his rather quick upturn was because of her, just Misato’s simple words made him feel much better each day. By now, Yugo was back on track, and leading the Honshu-Self Defense Force to his full potential and with near perfection. The young man had easily become as great a leader as the former Sergeant Major was, Shogo Kawakita, commanding all troops and forces just as the amazing ex-military official did during his time. Every day he got his office work done briskly, and then had all procedures and training sessions go by without a mistake. Right now he sat inside his office, upon his comfortable, red-cushioned chair, the black phone on his desk to his ear. Currently, he spoke with one of the head generals of the United States of America. As of late, the US military had located a rather odd discovery. On an enormous ice and snow island near the Chukchi Sea, scientists had managed to get a radioactive currant coming from a large mountain on it. When this was reported to both the American Military and Science Foundations, it was decided that they wanted first a military line to first go and investigate the area. But before they’d do that, they wanted to consult Japan, and try to find out what they could of anything with the radiation, since it had so far the most knowledge of Atomic Energy and Sciences at the time. “So, you want to take a line of defense there, and just check it out?” Yugo asked, speaking with General Toby Roberts, a man of forty-seven and a long-time military leader to the United States, working mostly up in Alaska. “Yes Mr. Haino, it wouldn’t be extremely large” he replied. “What would it consist of?” “Not much, two battle cruisers, at the most six helicopters, and then a group of maybe ten or fifteen ground vehicles” Roberts answered as he looked at a sheet of paper that he had the entire list written down on. Yugo thought it over for a few seconds, not saying anything in reply to the American General and focusing on his contemplation. “Well, I suppose it sounds reasonable. I don’t see what it would just to see what’s up” Haino finally said. A smirk came up on Robert’s face. “Good, thank you Mr. Haino, I promise no trouble will occur” he stated then. Just as he prepared to hang up then, Yugo suddenly interrupted him. “But mind you, wherever this mountain is, you mustn’t disturb it severely at all” the Japanese man asserted. General Toby appeared a bit curious. “And why would that be?” he asked. Yugo’s tone of voice sounded very serious now. “Because if there’s a radioactive signal from there, it’s possible there could be a Kaiju in there, as many have been created through radioactivity. Chances are not very high, but if there would be, and it escapes, you could all be in serious danger, especially America and the other countries of the world” the Sergeant Major explained. “And what would you consider disturbing it?” Roberts questioned. “Even one missile or rocket could do it. If it’s a snow mountain, it’s very easy to penetrate, and the more damage you do, the easier it gets to completely breaking apart” Yugo answered. On the other side of the line, General Toby had an arrogant smirk on his face, but had a very different attitude in his speaking. “Alright, I understand ya, don’t worry, I won’t let anything happen” Roberts said, “well, thanks again Mr. Haino, goodbye” With that then, the American hung up his phone, and shortly afterwards Yugo did the same. The young man sighed, and leaned back on his chair, closing his eyes and taking a terse rest. Within about a minute, he heard a knock on his door, and almost instantly knew who it probably was. “Come in Misato” he said aloud. The door opened, and just as he predicted, the young woman stepped in, clothed by her usual black skirt and black office-jacket, and her long nearly jet hair flowing to her back. “How’d it go?” she asked, closing the door, a humored smile on her face already. Yugo sat up then, and opened his eyes as he looked at the young woman. “Fine, he explained the entire situation to him, and then I just gave him a run-down on what not to do” he replied. Misato then sat down in a chair next to his desk, and faced the young man. “So I take it you said it’d be okay to go on with it?” she inquired. Yugo nodded. “Yeah, it’s still risky, but if they don’t do anything serious to wreck the mountain, whatever might be inside there shouldn’t awaken or escape. Besides, there might not even be a monster in there” Haino answered. Misato smirked. “And don’t forget that they’d probably do it anyways even if you said no” Miss Uehara commented. Yugo rolled his eyes. “Yeah that too” Misato now smiled at the Sergeant Major, who today seemed very tired, and not at all in the mood for a smile himself. After a few seconds, he looked back at her. “You get all the orders out?” he asked. She nodded. “Yep, everything for the AIM-Nine Sidewinders” Misato responded. “And the MSSRs?” Yugo pressed. “Of course”. He then managed to give a simple smirk. “Good job”. Misato laughed. * * * 1:05 A.M. Skies above the Pacific Ocean Aboard one of the top class jet-liners from America, sat Ameera Russell and her father Martin Russell. The two had gotten on their plane at about one o’clock in the afternoon that day, and flew for the entire time. It was a very long trip, and while it still wasn’t over, Ameera was too excited to be worrying about the boring travel, and even her father didn’t mind. The father and daughter next sat next to each other on the right side of the plane, together in the two-seat row. It was a more of a private plane, with only about ten or twelve more passengers on it. It was a special flight only for the scientists heading for Japan, the Russells being two of these people. Once they’d land in Nagoya, they’d take a private helicopter each to their different locations. Mr. Martin needed to head to Tokyo, while Ameera would go to the G-Force Base and stay the rest of the time for the vacation. Indeed, the two were very happy for their trip. “This is your pilot speaking, we’ll be arriving in Japan’s airspace within a few hours. Thank you for your patience so far and for cooperating” the voice said on the PA for the plane. Martin smiled, his sign of bliss spreading across his handsome face. He was a man of about fifty, with short dark grey hair and a moustache of the same color. He was a little taller than his daughter, who was about five-seven or five-eight. Right now he wore a black trench coat that covered the rest of his body, including his normal attire. “You gonna sleep tonight?” he asked, turning over at his daughter. Ameera looked back at him from her gaze out her window, smiling. “I wouldn’t think so, I’m too excited” she answered, in a whisper as her father spoke, not to wake any of the slumbering passengers. “I figured you’d say that” Mr. Russell replied. Ameera laughed quietly. “I can’t help it. It’s been too long since I’ve seen them, and this is gonna be the longest I’ve ever got to stay and work with them” the young woman said, now swaying her hair off her shoulder with a swift motion of her head and neck. Her father smirked, and leaned back onto his chair. “I understand how you feel exactly. I’m just as happy to be able to work with the men and women in the Tokyo Lab. I wish I could see everyone from G-Force for more than a day or two, but I have to stay to my job there for at least a week, probably more” Martin explained. His daughter smiled. “That’s okay, they won’t mind. Besides, I’m sure knowing them we’ll stop by to see you, and you know better than anyone that they can have two times the fun a normal person can in a day. So even just a day with them will feel like two or three” Ameera responded. Her father now chuckled himself, knowing full-well what she said was the truth, and that he had experienced it. “Ahh yes, they’re a fun a group, every last one of them, especially that young one they just got a year ago from what I hear” Mr. Russell commented. “Yeah, I’m really excited to meet him too. Amy tells me he’s a lot of fun” Ameera said. Her father smirked. “They all said he’s like all of them combined into one, he’s got more energy than the entire group combined, and he absolutely loves Kaiju” he stated. Ameera simply smiled now, and the two both fell silent. After another few seconds, her father yawned, and stretched his arms. “Well, I think I’m going to try and fall asleep, goodnight sweetie” he said. Ameera placed her hand on elbow. “Goodnight daddy” she replied. Martin Russell then closed his eyes, and slowly began to nod-off as Ameera smiled at him. Within a few moments though, she was gazing out her window once more, her eyes staring out into the sky as her mind wandered off into the thoughts of how great her visit would be. |

Re: Godzilla vs. King Ghidrah; the Three Headed Monster
Okay then, here's what I just finished. It's the beginning to chapter two, and my favorite parts so far. It takes place on a made-up island *at least I think it's made up* called Kunishiroshima. It's the island where most of the old Kaiju movie "Daikaiju Baran" and "Varan the Unbelievable" takes place. The people of the island aren't like indian natives, but they have no advanced technoloy, and are almost in a medieval type of lifestyle, though, more jungle-ish....
Just read and enjoy, and I've explained most of the stuff on Varan so anyone not familiar with the film or Kaiju won't be confused Chapter 2- The Mighty Obake; A Sleeping Deity November 8th, 10:02 A.M. Kunishiroshima Island The island of Kunishiroshima was a beautiful place. The terrain mostly jungle, but teeming with beautiful tropical trees and plants, and variety of exotic animals. Streams and rivers ran through it, containing wondrous water, and stone towers of rock rose high into the air near the middle-region of the island. Upon this area, was but one settlement of people. It was a new home for the residents of the island, one that they re-built themselves after the terrible Kaiju Varan destroyed it in his wake back in 1958. This new town was named Irjiro, in honor of the high priest that was the elder of the village before he was killed by Varan. It was custom that all men grow to study deeply on the religion, culture, and myths of the island and beliefs. For when whatever male would be the oldest living in the village, they would be dubbed the High Priest, as well as the elder, and attain the task of leading the village in their religion and life. Right now the Elder was named Akiro, and even at age seventy-nine, he had the willpower and mental and emotional might of any young man. The village was peaceful, and the population was growing. It was far bigger than the former village back many years ago, and the resources were also growing in numbers. They had surpluses, and more and more men and women were becoming artisans, as well as scholars, farmers, and even doctors. Truly, for the sole municipality of the island, it was better than any other could be. Inside her house, the young woman named Akari wore a ragged brown apron, one stained in several spots and with a different array of colors. Her jet hair tied in a ponytail, and a very thin pair of gloves on her hands, she continued to finish up the work she was best at; chemistry. While she excelled at mainly potions and tonics, she was also skilled in working with herbs and powders, which also gave her the talent of being a great medicine and brew maker. Right now, early in the morning as the rest of the village began to awake, she grounded a small amount of hyssop, her mortar crushing and pressing and turning upon the small leaves continuously as they began to break and shatter. She had been doing this now for nearly five minutes, and was nearly done. While it took close to ten minutes for the normal villager to do this, with years of experience on her side, Akari could finish it half the time, knowing the perfect pattern for the crushing. When she was done, she set down the wooden club-like utensil, and grabbed the plate that had the milled-hyssop. Walking over to the end of the table she took a small spherical flask, and carefully dipped it in a bowl of a flaxen liquid. Once it was filled about eighty-percent of the way, she very vigilantly poured the minced herb into the flask, until there was not one tiny folio of it on the platter. Taking the cap, she tightly closed it, and then set it back on the table. “Finally done” she said quietly to herself as she wiped her forehead dry, a smile of relief on her pretty face. She then went over to the sink, and after taking off her gloves, soaked her hands in the cool water. As she doused her palms with lemon-balm, she heard a knock on her door, and simply continued to focus on cleaning her hands. “Come in” Akari said though, and then washed off the balm. The door opened, and together a young teenaged girl and a boy seemingly the age of six or so walked in. The girl was dressed pretty much the same as Akari; a white sarong and a long-sleeve shirt, except hers was blue, unlike Akari’s red, while the boy had a vermilion short-sleeve shirt, and black shorts. “Akari, have you seen the Elder anywhere?” the girl asked, appearing a bit nervous. The young woman then rinsed off the purple soap she had on her hands, and turning around dried off. “No Takia, I haven’t, I’ve been busy all morning with that new remedy I’ve been working on” Akari answered. Takia looked a bit disappointed. “Oh, sorry…” she replied, looking away in what seemed to be worry. Akari became curious. “Why do you ask?” she inquired. Before she could turn her head and answer, the young boy spoke first. “We went to see him this morning to ask him about the next season ceremony, but he wasn’t there” the child named Tayo explained. “Yeah, and we asked a few other villagers, but they didn’t know either” Takia added then. Akari’s eyes narrowed with suspicion. “Hmm, that’s odd. I wonder why that is?” she said, and then coming to a realization, which brought an expression of inquisitiveness upon the two children, “Oh yes now I remember! I talked to him last night, and he said something about going to the Sea Shrine” Takai’s eyes widened slightly. “The Sea Shrine? Why would he go there?” she asked. The young woman shrugged. “I don’t know completely to tell ya the truth, I think something about some prayers. But would you guys like to go see him?” Akari said back. Tayo nodded. “Yeah, lets go!” he replied excitedly. Akari smiled at the boy as she then took her apron off. “Okay, let’s get goin’ then” the young woman stated. * * * Some fifteen or twenty minutes later, the three were walking down one of the dirt paths altogether. The scenery was gorgeous as they began to reach the cliffs above the sea. Here the jungles gave home to the most scenic of exotic birds, ones with hues and tones of their feathers that were so striking that it looked like someone had painted the colors onto them. Their calls, squawks, cries and chirps sounded like magic, creating an orchestra of the bird-tongue that was as soothing and smooth as the melodies played by any instrument. Before long the jungles ended, and they can to a grassy area where the reeds grew high and the bushes were thick. Over the edge of the natural walls was the blue sea, ebbing and moving as the wind blew and the currents traveled to shore. The sun reflecting off the surface, it warmed the waters, and created a glimmering shine that was gentle upon the eyes, so one could not help but stare at its beauty. But now, the three residents of the island were not focused on the waters, but instead the small wooden structure up ahead, probably not fifteen meters from the edge of the cliffs. Its façade was embellished by wooden chimes, as well as a few bronze statues of various mystical, mythical, and spiritual figures. The young woman, the young girl, and the young boy all came up to the shrine, and taking their sandals off entered the Holy House. Inside, the floor was a shiny wood linoleum, and the walls were simply tree-wood. At the other side was a petite altar, flanked to the sides by two blazing torches. Upon it was a golden statue, of a reptilian-like monster, with a grinning face that looked like a devil’s. Horns and spines were all about his body, adding to the terrible look of him and the intimidation it emitted. This was the Obake, the legendary monster that lived on the island, Varan; the Unbelievable. It was the beast that awoke in 1958 due to military tests, and the deity to the island. After it escaped to Oneda airport and completely ravaged it, it was driven off by exploding bombs in his stomach, and retreated back to the island, where it supposedly settled right below the cliffs where the shrine was, sleeping in an underwater cave. Before the statue was the Village Elder and High Priest, garbed by a simple white robe, but with several indigo designs and symbols. About his neck was a crimson necklace with several odd shapes attached to it, made and carved by wood. He knelt down, golden staff to his side, his head bowed, eyes closed and hands together as he remained in deep meditation. The three villagers also knelt down, staring at him in curiosity and in silence for many moments. “Sh-should we disturb him?” Takia whispered as she leaned over at Akari. The young woman shook her head. “No, it would be a great offense, let’s just go back to the village” she replied, in a nearly inaudible tone, just as the girl spoke in. Just as she began to get up, the Village Elder suddenly released his hands from one another, and lifted up his head as his eyes opened. “Do not leave Akari” he said. The young woman was slightly taken aback, and as she kneeled down began to become a bit nervous. “Elder, please forgive the disruption” she apologized. The High Priest turned around, still on his knees, a gentle smile on his face. “Nonsense, I’m finished anyways” the older man said. Akari felt like giving a sigh of relief, but chose to instead conceal it. “Village Elder, can I ask why you came here today? And without telling anyone but Akari?” Takia asked, almost in a blurt. For a moment, Akari felt a bit worried from the question, apprehensive of that it might affront the High Priest. Instead, his face only flattened with a serious look, and turned to look back at the statue of Varan. “I have sensed mysterious omens lately. And I’ve seen strange visions in my dreams. I believe they could be severe, especially in that both were concerned with the Obake” he explained. Tayo’s innocent interest got the better of him. “What were they Elder? Is Varan going to attack more people?” the little boy inquired. For a few seconds, the High Priest was silence, and soon he gave a grim nod. “Yes” The three all looked afraid now, at least Tayo and Takia, while Akari seemed more stern on the matter. The Elder then looked at the golden sculpture. “I have foreseen, that the Obake will be awakened, once more by mankind, and strike back against their ignorance. Though, only to then fight against a terror of three, for us” the High Priest went on. Akari’s eyes almost widened in surprise. “You mean, he’s going to protect us?” the young woman queried. He looked over at her. “No. Not just for us, but all of the land…” the Elder corrected. Everyone’s eyes then focused upon the figure of the deadly monster. He looked so vile, so wicked, and so cruel. The Kaiju had slaughtered their village when he last walked the Earth, and killed dozens of people; men, women and children. Why on Earth would he attack once more, but defend for the world? How would he? Not one of the three knew, and Takia was hoping for answer. “Elder, do you know anything else of this?” the young girl asked. The old man shook his head. “Sadly no, this is all my eyes have seen far. Though I will attempt to gather more upon this” he answered. With that he then stood up, his long white beard wiggling a bit as he took hold of his golden staff. “Let us not worry of this anymore, instead, lets go back to the village and have something to eat, I will discuss this with the other priests later on” All three of them nodded, and stood back up to their feet as they began to exit the shrine. Putting on their sandals, they walked out onto the porch, and then back onto the path as they headed back to the village. As they walked Takia stayed ahead with the Village Elder, while Akari walked a bit behind them, contemplating over what she had just found out. Her train of thought was soon broken by a tug on her sarong, and she looked down to see Tayo, a fearful look on the boy’s face. “Akari, are we gonna be safe when Varan wakes up?” he asked. While she truly had no idea whatsoever of what would occur, she decided to try and calm him down. “You don’t have to worry about anything, I promise we’ll all be fine” she responded with a smile. Tayo’s eyes lit up, and a smile just as wide as the young woman’s stretched across his face. “Say, you want a ride back to the village?” she asked. Tayo kept his smile and nodded. “Sure!” he answered excitedly. Akari then bent down to nearly match the small boy’s height. “Okay then, get on” she said, her back facing him. With a short chortle of delight, Tayo jumped onto Akari, and wrapped his arms around her neck. Holding the boy’s legs above her arms, the young woman stood up and began to walk off, carrying the boy with her on her back. They walked off together, laughing in glee and amusement as the two both enjoyed the ‘ride’. Last edited by Mirren; 01-27-2005 at 09:22 AM. |

Re: Godzilla vs. King Ghidrah; the Three Headed Monster
Let's see if I can get this alive at all...
12:34 P.M. Osaka, Kansai Self Defense Force Base The great city of Osaka was robust as noon went on. The time enough to be considered “lunch hour” tired and bored workers frantically made haste to any restaurant, bistro, or even a fast-food service. While more formal or dinner eateries were less-flocked by the city residents, such smaller cafés and even taverns became more populated by these hungry men and women. The city took in some tens of thousands of yen in just this simple hour, and as time would pass even more money would be made through the purchases of lunch. While most businesses and other work places were more quiet due to the break their employees got, the Kansai Self Defense Base did not let as many men go, but kept all doors to the main hall locked as a very important military meeting took place. Being held during which the time was almost hysteria in the streets, their building would not be all-to bothered, and when it would end men and women than needed to leave the building could drive off through the city without much hassle. A quiet ingenious plan some would say. Inside the large room that was the Gathering Hall, the doors remained closed, and the blinds open very little. Not one light on the ceiling was light, and the dimmer sunlight that was shining in the sky was what illuminated the darker room though. At a long, polished wooden table, sat a bit over a dozen people, clad in fine suits with several pins and medals each. At the head, was Major Noburo Otsuka. A near forty-year old Japanese officer, he was a good-looking man with almost flat black hair, and build much akin to the injured Shogo Kawakita, who had quite a more muscular physique. The meeting had commenced to go on about five minutes earlier, and by now, the Major sat at his chair, simply going more of the matter that was being discussed. A subject he was not particularly comfortable with conversing of, but it was job to do so, even if the idea of the topic was not of his own imagination. “And from there we will simply begin to test how the subs can maneuver inside the cave-like location, and get an idea of what we may need to improve on” Otsuka finished off, and then put down his paper, looking forward at all the military officers. “Any questions?” he asked. The one raised her hand, a young woman of seemingly almost thirty. The Major gestured for her to speak. “So your plans are to test the torpedoes power upon rocky substance like that, and how mobile they are in the cavern?” she inquired. The Major gave a sigh and nodded. “Yes, apparently the weapons-production company was not able to give us a full explanation on how well the submarines works, why I don’t know, but I am still trying to get an answer” Noburo answered. “And what happens if something goes wrong? As in, one of the subs goes out of order, or even begins to sink?” a male officer this time questioned aloud. The Major turned to him. “Well from what I’ve been informed, there will be much help there and ready to give aid” he said. “And would that be?” the young woman pressed. Noburo wasn’t quite sure himself, so for a brief recollection glanced at another sheet of paper he had at his place at the table before him. “There will be two DDH-142 Haruna Class Destroyers on the surface above them, one containing three F-15J Jets, and the other two HSS-2B Helicopters” the Major explained. For a moment, everyone at the table was silent, except one, who spoke after a few seconds. “It still sounds very dangerous, I don’t like the sound of it one bit” he stated. “I agree, this entire operation should be cancelled Major” another added. He nodded, and slightly slunk back into his chair. “I feel the same, but it is not up to me that this be done. The Lieutenant came up with the idea, and I’ve tried to convince him otherwise, though I’ve not be successful” Otsuka replied. The one young woman narrowed her eyes then with a bit of curiosity. “Major, can you tell us which island they’re going to?” she inquired. With a quick look at her, he stood up and went over to the map that was held up upon two thin wooden pillars. “Yes, it is off the coast from about Kyoto, a few hundred miles into the Southern region of the Sea of Japan. It’s called Kunishiroshima” Major Otsuka elucidated. A few murmurs came up from the table, and the one younger man seemed more dubious than ever. “Kunishiroshima? Isn’t that the island where that monster Varan was back in Nineteen-Fifty Eight?” he questioned. Noburo gave a bigger sigh now as he turned around, and grimly nodded. “Aye, and that is why I feel even more fearful for the men that must go for this procedure” he said. * * * 1:05 P.M. G-Force Landing Zone A white helicopter began to land on the large parking-lot like area of the G-Force Kaijuology Facility. Its blade spun rapidly round, to such a speed that the naked eye could not completely follow it, so much to the point that they almost seemed to be not moving at times. The winds from the rotating propellers blew down hard onto the tar-floor of the site, pushing down upon the passenger who now got out of the chopper, carrying to bags; one in her right hand, and one over her shoulder. Once she was out, the door to the helicopter closed, and she waved up to the pilot and the other man inside as it began to take flight once more. The doorbell rang inside the building. It echoed throughout all the halls, growing quieter and quieter, but loud enough so that the human ears of the structure could catch it. The first to hear the sound was Eric, who sat in a dormitory, simply flipping through the channels on a lone T.V. Turing away from it, he got up, and left the room. When he came to the front-door, he could almost see who was outside, and in a moment smiled. Unlocking the doors, he let them open, and in a moment Ameera leapt inside, her face beaming as she wrapped her arms about Eric. “Oh my God! Hi!” she exclaimed. The young man laughed, and embraced her back. “Hey, it’s great to see you’re finally here” he replied, smirking. Quickly she let go, and she looked at him, her eyes lit up. “How are you?” she asked, her voice still louder due to her joy. Eric chuckled a little. “I’m fine, pretty happy you’re here now, we’ve all been bored as hell” the man answered. Ameera laughed, and once she finished looked around. “So, where is everyone?” she inquired. “Meh, around. Amy and the others are probably in the one computer lab, and Michael, well…hell if I know, but come on, let’s go find ‘em” Eric said. Ameera smiled, and as he took her one bag, the two walked off. * * * Within a few minutes, Ameera and Eric came to greet everyone, and the rest of the group was close to overjoyed to see her. Amy was most elated, her extremely excited attitude an obvious hint to it. Takao was also quite delighted, and even Akira was able to express his own enjoyment from the arrival of the young woman. They all went to the one living-room-like area of the facility, and sat down upon either one of the soft coaches or the comfortable chairs. Amy was making a fresh pot of tea, something she and Ameera would always enjoy together as they chatted. Though as she was in the kitchen, preparing the drink, the guys continued to talk with her about anything they could up with. “So, how was the flight here?” Takao asked, knowing full-well that she probably hated it, but like Eric and Akira always loved to see the expression of the person they asked that to. Ameera laughed as she almost sighed. “Oh man, it was horrible!” she exclaimed. Instantly the guys began to laugh, and she went on. “Most boring thing I’ve done in my entire life. Nearly half a day of sitting there; day-dreaming, reading old magazines or watching the stupid in-flight movie!” Akira’s deep chuckling echoed throughout the room. “Why am I not surprised to hear that answer?” he said. Ameera couldn’t help herself but laugh. Eric eventually finished his laughter, and continued on to speak himself again. “Your dad doing good?” he inquired. Ameera looked over at him and nodded. “Yeah he’s fine. I think he’s at Tokyo now, for his own work. I’m pretty sure he was leaving at about the same time I would to come here” the young woman explained. “Anything been happening with you two?” Takao asked. Ameera took a moment to think it over, but in the end shook her head a bit. “No, not really, besides the normal work back in Chicago. I guess that’s one reason why we’re so happy to come her, it’s not so boring now” she said. The group laughed again, creating a loud guffaw that could be heard throughout the entire structure. Such a chortle was heard by Michael, who in curiosity came to see what it was, and at that moment peeked into the room. “Hey guys what’s u—oh it’s you” he began with a smile, then noticing Ameera. Akira looked up at him and gestured for him to come in. “Sit kiddo, Amy’s getting some tea and stuff ready” he said. Michael smirked, and came over to a chair where he sat down, right in between Ameera and Eric. The young woman smiled at him. “Hey, you’re Michael?” she said. The boy nodded. “Yeah, you’re Ameera?” he asked back. Just like him she nodded. “Yep, nice to meet you” “Same here” the boy replied, a bigger smirk on his face. Ameera smiled at him, and even with those four simple comments to each other, the both of them had instantly gained a liking of the other. At that moment then, Amy came back into the room, and set down a tray of a teapot, teacups and a plate of crackers. “Drink up Ameera, I made your old favorite” the woman said. Ameera looked up at her, here eyes beaming. “You mean Jasmine?” she asked, anxious to hear a “yes” answer. Amy nodded, smiling as much as she was. “You got it” she responded. The two of them laughed, and as they began to pour the sweet, hot drink. Michael leaned back on the large reclining chair he usually sat in, staring at Ameera with a simple look of merriment in his eyes. The boy’s lips were curved in a smirk as usual, an obvious sign to his almost cocky-attitude. “Hmm, she’s really nice, and she seems cool. Maybe this won’t be as bad as I thought” he said to himself in his head, and then focused more upon her smiling face, “and my God she’s friggin’ hot…” |
