War: Battle between Zorans and Gorons

Hey, well, same as Mirren, im writing for Project Mudora, and i thought it would be a good idea to post this in a seperate thread, and see what you people think of it, maybe i can improve something.

This battle features many moves from Majora's mask, like the spiked roll, pound, Zora shield, Zora boomerang, etc. ^^ It actually inspired me to play MM again, lol I am quite happy with it.

- The Battle Between Zorans and Gorons..Water vs Rock.. -

DAWN OF DAY 1

The Goron leader Durbania looked at the horizon. There, at the break of dawn, he saw over 400 enemies approaching. It were the Zorans, Fish-like creatures, created by the goddess Nayru. They were ordered by their general to seek the Gorons, and it seemed they finally met eachother. Durbania wondered how long the Zorans would last. After all, the sea was about a mile away from them, so they could not rely on water this time. Yes, the Gorons definatally had an advantage.

Looking at the other end of the field where the about 350 Gorons were standing, The Zoran general Klapei wondered what they are going to do. Surely, the Zorans had the advantage in speed and agility, but could they penetrate the strong armor of the Gorons? They were far away from the shore...He did not lose hope though. He would do anything in his power to defeat the Gorons, creatures made by Din. "May Naryu protect us.." - He wispered. Then he ordered his army to halt, and turned around to face them.

"My fellow Zorans! This is a great day in our lives. Today we fight for the honor of Nayru, to defeat those dreaded Gorons! I know some of you think that we are at a disadvantage. But with the help of Nayru, and our agility and speed, we shall win this battle! Now let us go onward, and defeat those worthless rocks with legs!!" . The army roared in excitement, and began marching towards the Gorons.

Durbania saw the army of the Zorans approaching. This was it. He tured around and faced his fellow Gorons. "This is it men! It is time to fight the Fish-Folk, and show them what we are made of! Their skinny and powerless bodies will prove to be no match for us, and thus we shall win today, for the glory of Din! Let us go!"

MID DAY DAY 1

Both the Gorons and the Zorans approached now, eager to fight eachother. After what seemed forever, they met eachother. Without saying a word, the battle began, the battle of two races, a battle to the end.

Immediately Durbania noticed the swift movements of the Zorans. He expected them to be agile, but not like this! He himself was fighting one of the Zorans, and had some trouble killing him, for his punches missed most of the time. It seemed this would take longer than expected. On the other hand, whenever the Zoran striked him, he felt some pain, but it wasnt really that devastating. It seemed he was right about one thing, Their skinny bodies were not exactly made to fight.

The Zorans Felt pretty confident now. Their moves and punches did connect, and proved to have some small effect. Furthermore, the gorons were pretty slow, so they could dodge most of their punches. But whenever a Zoran did get hit, it was as if a boulder hit him, and he was send flying back, coughing up some blood, being hurt badly. So far, it looked as if they were on the winning hand, as long as they would still be able to dodge.

After a few hours of fighting, without many deaths on both sides, the Gorons thought of a different way to attack. They curled up into a ball, and leaped into the air. When they did, they pounded the ground, hitting a Zoran every now and then. This proved to be lethal. A lot of Zorans died because of this. On the other hand the Zorans thought of a way to fight aswell, they would launch their Fins like a boomerang. This would severly hurt the enemy, cutting the weak spots of the gorons, eventually killing them.

When the night was falling, both commanders told their troops to stop, because everyone was extremely tired. The Zorans and Gorons set up a camp, and decided not to attack untill dawn, when they were energised yet again.

NIGHT DAY 1

After building up their camps, the Gorons and Zorans discussed the battle of that day, and took care of those who were injured. So far both armys seemed equal. After about an hour they went to sleep, ready for tomorrow, when fate would decide the winner.

DAWN DAY 2

After what seemed to be a long night, the Gorons and Zorans faced eachother again. Klapei noticed a difference in the Gorons, they were staying where they were, and waited for the Zorans to make the first move. "Fine..if you wont come to us, we will come to you." - he mumbeled. Then he ordered his army to attack.

Durbania smirked at the sight of the attacking Zorans. This time they would get defeated, those damn fish people. Far behind the wall of Gorons, 20 of his most Elite warrior Gorons were curled up as a ball, charging a huge attack. Durbania ordered to wait, untill the Zorans were close enough.

"Just a bit more...more...almost...YES!" - yelled Durbania, as he pointed his finger at the wall of Gorons. "Do it now!". The Gorons immediatly went out of the way, to give passage to the Elite warriors, as they unleashed a devastating spinning attack, going faster than ever, with huge darkened spikes coming out of their body, making them like lethal cannonballs.

Klapei looked horrified at the 20 Gorons headed towards the Zorans. "RETREAT!! GET BACK HERE NOW!' - he screamed, but it was too late. After a few minutes almost 150 of his Zoran fighters died. The spiked Gorons lashed right threw the Zorans as if hey were made of paper. The look of it alone was enough to make one sick. The spiked Gorons were out of Magic after those minutes, and retured to Durbania. It seemed like the end of the battle, with only 150 Zorans, and over 200 Gorons left.

MID DAY OF DAY 2

Looking the all the dead Zoran laying there on the field, Klapei did not know what to do now. The Gorons were extremely powerfull, and the Zorans proved to be no match to them...There was only one thing he could do. He fell on his knees and folded his hands, and begged for Nayru to listen to him.

The goddess Nayru was indeed listening, and had been watching the battle. It was terrible to see her creations die like that, and she was already planning to lend a hand. She thought of the Gorons. What devastating creatures did she make, her sister Din. If only they had a weakness.."Wait a minute.." - she wispered, then she looked at the sea, that was behind the Zorans, one mile away.

Back at the field, Klapei was hoping, no, praying for the help of Nayru, when all of a sudden he heard a rumbeling noise behind him. He turned back, but saw nothing. Then all of a sudden something huge, something massive was coming towards them, spreading all over the horizon. After a few seconds he realised it. Nayru helped them! The huge Tsunami (flood) was heading straight towards them and the Gorons!

Durbania looked at the weird huge thing at the horizon, untill he realised what it was. "EVERYONE! TO THE HILLS AT ONCE!!!!" - he yelled, and immediatly the Gorons turned and rolled towards the hills. The water had now reached the Zorans, and they gladly accepted the water. Normal creatures would have been hit and destroyed by the devastating water, but somehow the Zorans trusted this wave, for it was sent by Nayru.

They were right, the water did not harm the Zorans in any way, and they were thrilled to feel the soft, cold water on their bodies. The Gorons tried to run for the hills, but for most of them it was too late, over 100 Gorons were too slow for the water, and got hit by it, immediately killing them. Those who were not killed, drowned, for they were too heavy to float.

About 100 Gorons made it to the hills, and they looked very frightened at the water that was raging past them. Nayru had created a temporal lake, keeping the water in one place, not letting it drain into the earth. The Zorans were looking at the Gorons. This was the end of the battle.

NIGHT OF DAY 2

Durbania had survived, but barely. How could they still win, when they were surrounded by water? Images of his past went by inside his head, as he feared death might come soon. He remembered sitting at the lake with his father as a young Goron. Durbania had been scared of the water, but his father was not. He had picked up a pebble, and threw it over at the lake. The pebble jumped over the water , hitting the water for not even a second every time, untill it made the other end of the lake.

Durbania opened his eyes. That was it! That was his way to glory! Immediately he ordered his soldiers to curl up in a ball. "My fellow brothers! Do not dispair, we shall be victorious! What i want you to do, is retreat as far as you can without getting too close to the water, and then roll as fast as you can towards the water, towards the Zorans! Right before you hit the water, at top speed, jump. Jump with all your might, and head towards the Zoran! MAKE ME PROUD MY BROTHERS!"

The Gorons did as they were told. They curled up and backed away, then rolled to the Zorans at top speed. Right before they were at the water, they jumped, trusting their leader completely. They launched themselves at the water, and jumped and hit the water for not even a second every time. The Zorans were stunned, this had never happened before! A Goron moving over water? It seemed impossible.

Klapei had the think hard, if they let themselves sank to the bottom of the lake, they would need more time, the Gorons were headed towards them like boulders..What could he do..Then he knew it! offcourse! He took a deep breath, and yelled at his men. "EVERYONE, ACTIVATE YOUR SHIELDS!!" Immediately all the Zorans raised their Blue-ish shield, which was a special ability given to them by Nayru, to protect them with the use of magic. It could only be used in the water, so this was perfect!

The Gorons slammed into the Zorans, but felt a huge, and undefeatable power hitting them, and they were forced to stop spinning. This stopped them in their track, and the one thing that they feared the most happened. They fell in the water. All of the Zorans looked at the drowning Gorons, pleased by themselves for using their shield on time.

Durbania looked in shock at the Gorons that were drowning, and fell on his knees. He had been defeated, and the Zorans had won the battle...

Well beyond the random misspellings - I liked it. Also you should considerer spelling out all the numbers you typed. Just looks better in the finished product. And I'm curious - I've never thought of the Zora peoples as 'Zorans' (plural use only) just the Zora. Like the Rito, I cant see it being written the Ritos - makes me think of chips o.0 - This may be semantics - but as with the last line

When I look at it I want to re-type it as this:

Or something like that - like I said - probably just semantics...

Still liked the overall picture you painted. Was a good battle.
