In this thread, you can talk about anything related to the fantastic monthly art contest we have been holding recently. Put your feet up and put your brushes down to have a quiet chat when it takes your fancy.

Anyway, here we are on the top floor of the Art and Writing Multi-Purpose Complex and Fish Cannery. The, um, the fish cannery, we had to sublet out a floor because of Mr Spork's unfortunate Star Trek habit. Try not to pay attention to those jerks on the bottom floor at the 'Writing Arena'. I know their constant corracting of our gremmar is annoying and their Jane Austen fan club is becoming more and more rabid each week, but they're just trying to get a response out of us. Remember, if we don't respond to their antagonism, nothing bad will happen. I think we all remember what happened in the Graphics Design building across the street. I never knew a cat could fly so far.

Now, ladies and gentleman, let's get down to business, the business of Art and the subsequent discussion resulting from said business.

So yes, does anyone have anything they'd like to say to kick off the discussion? Ah, yes, you there, in the back.

Question for Hawlee: What happens if the same person keeps winning the art contest every month?

Yes, it was Mr. Spork.

EL--if the same person keeps winning, I don't think that can be helped because the voting is done by everyone and anonymously (though it's kinda obvious whose is whose sometimes, but that really can't be helped). However, I'm encouraged that it's been three different winners so far so maybe that's something to keep in mind. But, say, theoretically it does happen and the winner gets sick of picking the theme, they could by choice let the 2nd runner up have a crack at it. That would be optional of course.

ALMOST DONE WITH MY PIC. Should be submitting tonight or tomorrow.

I finally submitted my picture last night. I think I rushed it a little in the end, but ah well.

Since i've never entered this before, could someone let me know what day the voting begins :3?

I have got to enter the next art contest. Maybe I'll even submit a writing entry. I regret not submitting anything to the mythological figure contest.

For some odd reason, I actually want to see that too.

Well. All this talk of contests and art makes one hunger and thirst after the purer forms of art. Namely music. I think that we--or someone--should put together a music contest. It would be just like a comic contest--with the poll and everything--only with music, not comics. I think it would be a great way for people to have fun expressing their musical talent!

I'd go for Pokemon sometime in the future, but I'd like something different for October.

The last contest has been called off. Why? Only one person entered. One, out of all the people who have expressed interest, and has joined all the other contests. This is very disappointing compared to the other contests when we have ten entries.

Now, if no one enters, does this mean no one wants the contests to happen anymore? Or did you all just happen to be busy this month or something? Whatever reason, tell me if you actually want the contest to continue, and show me that you mean it.
