June Monthly Contest! Voting!

Welcome all! This month we have hit a special number of entries: 10, and if you have been keeping up with whats been happening, you'll know that this means we will have a third place! Whoo hoo!

Voting will be the same pretty much. You vote for your three favourite entries. Say if you liked entries 1, 2, and 3, then you you just say so. I.e.: '1 - Super Awesome Art of Awesomeness, 2 - Mega Hyper Art of Incredibleness, 3- Special Pretty Artwork.'

Voting will last for 5 days. This means that the thread will be closed at Midnight Friday 27th Eastern Australian time.

Oh, wow, some of these are absolutely gorgeous<333. Well done, guys.

Entry 1: I already know who did this ;D but, damn, I absolutely love it. It's like an illustration out of a storybook and a very unique style. Love it.

Entry 7: Is that scratched in?? It's amazing. The composition is mind-blowing, it's creeeepy, the very simple black and white works well, but it's still very complicated to pull off. I don't usually vote for things I find dark, but I really dig this one.

I was stuck between Loki and Angels for best artwork -- but now that I've read that you can vote for three participants, I'm just going to mention both.

Loki seems to have a dark atmosphere which I happen to like - also note Liah's comment about entry 7 - while Angels impresses me with it's soft tone of voice and calm depiction altogether.

1st vote: Entry 1 - This is really well done... I love the characters, the setting and the cute little kid in the middle of all his nightmares. Amazingly done well. <3

2nd vote: Entry 4 - The colours of this artwork kick-ass. Everything is detailed and the beast looks magnificent. Beautiful work.

3rd vote: Entry 7 - Wonderful atmosphere that really tears the topic with fear.

Liah, you know you can vote for a third, right?

Anyway, my first place vote goes to Mermaid. It's just wicked beautiful. o.o

Second...hmm...I think that should go to Edge of the World. I'm not a fan of hippogriffs, but this picture is very well done. :]

Third is Angels. It would have gotten higher on my list here, except it's too empty and I've seen much better from the person who did this. (it's obvious whose it is lol) Still, it's well-drawn.

I can tell I'm going to lose this, but I do try. xP

Not only is it Norse mythology (<3), I love the mood in the picture. Just beautiful. :3

Very nice work. Has an aquatic feeling to it, which (of course >_>) fits.

It's a kind of opposite of the entry 4. ^^ It's very graceful picture. Nice <3

(And Entry 6 is funny, and Nessie is mentioned in it ^˛^ :3)

4,7 and 8 were really good. 4 was very interesting, and the best by far.

Wow, I think my entry this month would do better than last and it does worse. Talk about being wrong. :/

Ah well, there's always next month...maybe.

I think it's best not to mention which entry is yours since the voting is supposed to be anonymous and unbiased.

Yeah, only some entries have obvious artists.

Entry 8: Mermaid. you should make a guide on how many details you put on this picture, it's simply awesome, I can't stop looking at the mermaid's hair, it's simply way too detailed <3
I absolutely loved it

Entry 7: Loki. I can't imagine on how many hours you spent doing that, that's why my second vote goes to you, you really give all of yourself into it.

Entry 9: Angels. absolutely cute, but I noticed somethings that well... let's just say that shouldn't be the way they are:
1) the angel wing, it seems that's coming from a 3rd character or an object that's not appearing in the picture, you can't say it's coming from the guy unless you know the picture's name: Angel :3
2) the guy's head perspective seems a little weird, probably it's cause you exaggerated a bit on the shadows on his neck, but except for this 2 things, this is absolutely an stunning piece

and about my entry (everybody knows which one it is): I spent like 4 hours doing the base colors in the kappa (turtle thing [the girl from The Ring is a kappa if you didn't know lol]) and when I noticed the time left to submit I simply rushed onto coloring the other characters with PS options lol, I believe even a 5 years old kid could do better with pencils T^T, but ye... I wanted to participate...

Entry 9: It's simple, it's smooth, and it's got an Angel guy in it!

Entry 8: This one is just plain cool looking realy.

Entry 4: I's obvious who did that one, but it's really nice looking, and I like the colors.

I'm amazed. It's incredible.

I couldn't not give this a vote, the detail is pretty insane.

Very good depiction of a griffin. I really like the colors and the composition.


Entry 10: Astelya

Very nice composition of colors in a simplistic approach. My favorite depiction of a mythical female figure among the entries.


Entry 7: Loki

I like this print-looking piece. Maybe it is a print? Very good piece in any case.
