June Monthly Contest!

Welcome to the (slightly late) June Monthly Contest!

As some of the people already know, this month's theme is: Mythological Creatures! That means angels, dragons, werewolves, and much much more!

The Contest starts on the 7th of June, and finishes on the 21st of June.

Also, all entrys will be pmed to me and/or Mr Spork (you know you should actually pm him ), so we can put them in the results thread anonymously. Anyone who posts their work in the thread wont be allowed to participate in this contest.

Again, this will be voting between people, as we can see how well it worked last time. Just vote for your favourite artwork, then the one you think should come second. Possibly if we get over ten Artworks we might get a third position as well.

Remember: There is a writing contest for those skilled in the ways of writing. We need more people in that contest so go and compete if you love writing!

you should totally draw in the car. HAHA! You never know- it might end up looking really cool... or you could end up hurling all over it

One of these days, I'll enter one of these competitions. I'm sure there will be some awesome entries this time, though!

EDIT: By the way- We will always mention the art and writing contests, the winners, and their themes in the podcast, so hopefully with the regular release of the podcasts, y'all will get some more exposure ^___^

I think I might actually be able to submit a piece for this after all, even though I didn't think I would - I've been balancing my studies with a bit of drawing on the side. It's a good way of exercising both parts of my brain, not to mention relaxing.

... Well they didn't post the writing topic in time. I am about to embark on the two day car trip. Wish me luck! If I find the time I will try and draw something.

Well, I sent Spork mah entry! Can't wait for voting. I think my entry this month is a lot better than my last month one. :]

The moment I get close to a scanner I'm sending my entry in.

Do we need to make one up from our own minds or can we possibly take a mythical being that has prexisted in another movie/book/show/game?



For example, if I wanted to draw the Balrog from LoTR. I'm not, but yeah.

Or manbearpig.

Well, the rules don't state which mythology people are to draw from... So unless that becomes specified, taking inspiration from the mythology in Lord of the Rings should be perfectly fine, methinks. :3

It means any kind of mythological creature, Lio, no matter where it's from, so LotR should be fine. :]

Yeah like Lioness and Ranny said, it can be any Mythological creature. Heck you could even do a Hylian if you wanted to.
