One Piece Discussion
Geis new FUNi dub of the first 13 episodes on DVD have been released and they did a pretty damn good job at it! And yes it's all uncut although I dunno if there's any cursing in it or not (although guessing from the dub of Movie 8 I'd speculate that there is):
We Are! Dub Song by Vic Mignogna Memories Dub Song by Brina Palencia You can also find some other vids in that same profile. There's no clips of the actual episodes as of yet as I know, though. Thoughts on this? My thoughts is that FUNi needs to stop WHORING Vic Mignogna. Yes he does a god damn great job at singing but... Goddamn, I don't want new One Piece fans brought in by this new dub to be fat fangurls who crush every bone in a tackle-glomp-KAWAII~^___^ at every anime con he goes to. But aside from that! FUNi got Memories pretty much perfect comparing it to the Japanese version and the voices from what I heard sound good and accurate as I expected. And yes this is a thread to discuss recent One Piece manga chapters or recent anime episodes too! |

yeah wow, this kicks the crap out of the previous dub (which I think everyone in the world agrees sucked...) I'm glad it's uncut too. The old dub edited out EVERYTHING! the blood, the curses (which are still in debate I guess...) and even an refferences to drugs, alchohol, and sex. which is a shame because it was completely kidified. but not the true legacy of one piece anime can be enjoyed, IN ENGLISH! yay!

Well I'm happy that One Piece finally has a nice dub. I haven't kept up with it, but if I ever want to watch it I know it won't be as terrible as that 4Kids dub.
