Favorite manga?
What is your favorite Japanese manga?

Mine is Dragon Ball Z. It was the first manga I read (I think, it might have been Astro Boy or Dragon Ball), and it's better than the anime. Even though the manga doesn't have "IT'S OVER NINE THOUSAAAAAAAAAAAAND!!!!!!!"

But yeah, my favorite Manga's Beck: Mongolian Chop Squad. It combines my favorite aspects of Japanese entertainment, Shonen and J-Rock, and creates some pretty compelling material. Its like Almost Famous, minus Kate Hudson. Sadly, the anime, which does the manga hella justice, only gets so far into the story.

I really enjoyed reading through Death Note, although it was a bit complicated in Japanese (捜査本部、監視カメラ、etc). Naruto comes in a close second. Although the plot was not quite as exciting as Death Note's, the action makes up for it. In third place I'll have to put Love Hina. I needed a typical fan service type manga in there somewhere :-P.

it's called vampire knight (the only shojo manga i like)
