I love FMA too, and in my opinion, it's one of the best animes out there. I've watched the series 3 times now, and it never gets old.

I still can't wait to see the movie...even though it's been out for a while now :XD

The Show is pretty awsome in itself, but Puck beleives the Manga is where this series really stands out. If you have not read the Manga, Puck says...DOEIT!

The only problem with it, as far as I'm concerned, is that the villians are predominantly male, with only Lust (who dies quite early) being female, and the rest being males, including Father, who replaces Dante as head villian, and even Sloth, which annoys me, because it does'nt have enough balance!!!!

Hold up - SLOTH IS A MALE IN THE MAGNA???

How is that possible? I thought Sloth was made when the Elric brothers tried to bring back their MOTHER, who, last I checked, is not a male? Or is it different in the manga?

In the Manga a Homoculus is not created by Human transmutation, but instead where all artificially created by "Father". The story line in the Manga is really different then the anime, but Puck loves it so...

And Kimblee is so much more awsome in the manga =3

FMA ownz dude, who doesnt know about it? if they didnt i would probably freak out or something. but i like FMA and Death Note alot. so i dunno which is more awesome >.<

The Fullmetal Alchemist manga is one of the few manga that deserve ALL the praise it gets.

The characters are believable, the story is great and the art is awesome.

I have seen the anime and loved it. reading the manga has been kinda on my list for awhile, so I hope to get to it someday.

I love how, atleast in the anime, that it can be serious one second and then be something funny. At first glance you see two alchemist who get into some humurous situations. But at the same time you see something serious and depressing.

Its interesting how both want to help the other out before themselfs. Ed wants to 'fix' Al. While Al wants to 'fix' Ed. At first this puzzled me. Then I realized it means they are true brothers, putting the other ahead of themselfs.

FMA is my favorite anime show. I love the story, characters, music and the comedy. I've probably never laughed so much while watching an anime.

And as for the manga, I have read a few chapters and loved it too. There's not all the chapters here, but it's still something. I can't remember the site which had them all...

Aww well in my opinion...FMA anime is terrible, I'm sorry. I thought it was pretty neat when I was sixteen, but nowadays I can hardly watch it on finnish subTV ^^' manga on the other hand...I recommend!
I guess the difference really showed up when I started really reading FMA, and see how different direction story spins to...after that anime felt rather irritating.

FMA remains to this day the only anime I truly love. Some other anime is alright but this one is phenomenal. The main reason? It makes sense. The story gets crazy sometimes but it always is coherent. No crazy names or ridiculous plot twists.

I haven't seen the movie either, but I hope it has at least a satisfactory ending with closure unlike other anime I've watched.

I read the manga, strangely enough, my public library has almost all of the volumes, so I read it there. It's good, not my favorite, but definatly gets cookies. I've never seen the anime, nor do I plan to. I hate going from manga to anime, becuase when I read the manga I kinda make up how I think the characters sound, and if they have accents or not, so then when I watch the anime everything sounds wrong to me. I'll stick with manga.

Edward is an atheist, as opposed to his manga self, who is an agnostic, who I have an easier time sympathizing with, being Pagan, I find the Edward Elric in the manga to be a LOT less cynical and more gentle, than his anime counterpart, or at least, just a little bit...

Wow, I haven't watched Full Metal Alchemist in a while. FMA is one of the few animes where I prefer the English dub voices over the original Japanese. I actually never finished it, but I've been meaning to download them from Veoh. I really like the scientific part of it and how they explain alchemy so that it makes sense in the story.

There's nothing really scientific about it but you should do bittorrent rather than downloading from Veoh.

It has to be one of my favorite series of all time. I have the movie on DVD it's really great on how it includes so many world conflicts along with the brothers conflicts. I highly reccomend the movie.
