Someone with brains, please, explain to me the appeal and greatness of Hare Hare Yukai.
Haruhi's a brilliant show, but people worship this song. I think I heard an english version somewhere. *shudders*

The appeal comes from the dance I suppose not the song itself. Yeah it's overrated like hell.

Well if the dance made a song popular, the opening for Metal Overman King Gainer would be the most popular song ever. I mean it has a line of ferrets doing the monkey. How is this not awesome?

Cowboy Bebop and FLCL have the best anime music I would have to say. But my favorite song of all time (basically) is from Evangelion... Komm Suesser Tod. I love it soooo much.

Cowboy Bebop's theme is great. I love all the music from that show, as well as FLCL and Samurai Champloo. Full Metal Alchemist has a lot of good music, too. The opening and closing themes from Bleach are pretty good with a couple of exceptions, but Death Note wins the rock factor for the second closing theme. Overall, though, Cowboy Bebop has the best music.

I really like the music used in Dragon Ball Z.

If you get past all the yelling, there's some awesome music playing.
Ones that come to mind are Super Saiyan Vegeta and Android 16's Theme.

HARUKA KANATA - ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION \m/

Has anyone watched Fushigi Yuugi? The music in that anime was absolutely AMAZING; sounded like it was from the time period that it took place in, which made it all the better for me. Also, I loved listening to the music in the Japanese version Digimon and the seven movies that were out at the time.

Anything composed by Yoko Kanno is made of pure win, in such anime as Noir and Cowboy Bebop. Real Folk Blues is love. ♥

Toshiro Masuda!! He did most of the tunes for Naruto, this guy has a great sense for mood music. Whenever Heavy Violance starts playing I know things'll get rough. And Lee's theem sounds as light-hearted as he does. A song called Evening, that was made before the show. Cause I heard it a while back in a chinese resturant LONG before I started watching Naruto.(maybe they were fans of the show?) Sorry for sounding like a Naruto nut. The writers of the show had good ears too. That Orochimaru's theem gives me the creeps. Glued state is the only one that gets annoying.

Very true. Listen to Hare Hare minus the dance, and its very likely that you'll be diving for the mute button. The dance seems to improve every annoying song its played to, Ike Ike from Ichigo 100%, Lucky Star's OP , and even My Humps from the BEP.

Naruto's original soundtrack was a work of art. Its the reason I got into the series. It really is a shame that they had the entire thing axed for Shippuden. Naruto just isn't the same without it.

The only good anime music is the FMA soundtrack (excluding the J-pop opening and closing music), the Cowboy Bebop soundtrack ("Tank" FTW), and the Ghost in the Shell soundtrack.
