What show got YOU into anime?

Although I can't stand it anymore, Dragonball was the first one to get me into anime.

Either Pokemon or Dragon Ball Z. I can't remember.

I liked Dragon Ball can't say it dragged me to anime though... Seeing as I never watch anime..

I started off with things like Pokemon and Dragonball Z but I really didn't get set off with anime until I first watched Fullmetal Alchemist, from there it has just been getting into the more serious anime like Bleach and Yu Yu Hakusho.

I remember Samurai Pizza Cats but I always thought of it just like any cartoon like Biker Mice From Mars and the like.

The first anime I ever watched, and consequentially the one that got me into it, was Cowboy Bebop. That show is absolutely incredible.

That's the show that really enthrawled me into the anime scene. Still the best anime I've ever seen.. and ohmygawd why didn't I remember that! DD:<

my friend william was the one who got me into anime. I was never one to get real into it in the beginning. After watching a few good ones I was hooked

I watched My Neighbor Totoro when I was really little. When I was about 8 or 9 I watched Yu Yu Hakusho and Pokemon.

Gotta be DBZ or Pokemon, those were the main 2 for me, ah, good times.

The movie Akira was the first anime I ever watched.

The rest is history.

Dragon Ball Z and Inuyasha.

I'm pretty sure Pokemon and Digimon were the first anime that I watched. But Gundam Wing, Voltron, and the Tenshi series are what really got me into anime.

Escaflowne was definitely the show that got me into Anime. I use to go crazy about that show. Anyone else ever watch it?

Dragonball Z. I was also fond of Pokemon at the time, but had trouble seeing episodes (couldn't get the TV station in, so I had to rent videos for a time). I'd watch almost anything on Toonami, save for Sailor Moon.
The first time I got into the good subbed stuff was when my best friend introduced me to The Slayers, around 2-3 years later.

Outlaw Star and DBZ

Toonami was all I had :/

The earliest anime shows that I remember seeing was Samurai Pizza Cats, Tekkaman Blade, and especially DBZ (the lame "sent to another dimension dub"). Funnily enough, I'm not much of a fan of DBZ now (I find it too immature).

I'm glad that companies like Cartoon Network are becoming less anxious about including death and blood their shows.
