What show got YOU into anime?

I watched Avatar : TLA and got in to it, now i watch all sort of anime. I do it as we speak!

Probably Dragon Ball Z, Yu-Gi-Oh, Pokemon, and other shows. Classics.

Ok, so I have another question (I'd make a new thread for this, but it seems better suited here):

You're first anime - will it always be considered a classic to you? Or is it something you wish you could forget?

I'm asking this because I just found out that the first season of Digimon is on Toon Disney every morning...and since it was my first, to me it will always be a classic.

Yeah I atleast agree with you. I consider my posted animes also kinda classic. You ussualy don't forget them and it kinda depends on them weather you are going to watch this kind of cartoons in the future or not.

The first Anime for me was Coyboy Bebop which still remains a classic for me to this day. From their i got hooked on stuff like Inuyasha, Sam Champloo and all of the Studio Gibli stuffwhich i love. Coyboy Bebop remains a series you can watch again and it remains as good as the first time. This is rare becasue usually fo me the first time is amzing then when i go back to something its never the same. Though i have found that many find this series boring?

Oooh Cowboy bebop is an excellent series to start off on...I'm only on episode 18 though... Samurai Champloo made me cry at then end....

God i love Samurai Champloo the best but i havent even finnished it yet

You know what i recently got into though! Blood+. I never really bothered to look into it before but the whole thing caught my attention

I just finished Blood+ a few weeks ago.

Just a little warning - it's extrmely bloody and violent (probally not as bad as a lot others, but still :XD )

I must rent...it looks so very interesting...but i really recomend thoses Studio Ghibli movies if you havent seen them yet<3

I second that motion! Studio Ghibli's work is a prime example of anime as an art form.

Anyway, what started me down the dark anime path wasn't an anime itself, but rather manga. DBZ was my first( the manga is leagues better than the TV show).
I saw lots of anime as they first started becoming popular(pokemon, digimon, Yu-Gi-Oh!) and I enjoyed watching them, but I never really was overly interested. It was the power of manga that converted me!
