GAme Show... Litterally

Ok. If there is a game that got turned into an anime, what do you think it would be like? You can post about any game that you want, and it can even be a board game. In all honesty, this came up in school when I heard that Kingdom Hearts was going to be an anime. I think it could be a good idea. I just want to know the opinion of others ^^.

I know that feeling. It's odd when things happen that wouldn't.... But I do hope that Monopoly stays a board game

I can so imagine a Monopoly-themed piece of your standard shonen trash: A young group of bratty teenage (wtf?) investors struggles against the corrupt business tyrant Rich Uncle Pennybags (the dude on the front of the box) for control of Atlantic City's real estate. And so on.

At some point the lead character could race to help his needlessly underdressed female partner pay off her mortgages and escape from near-bankruptcy. And the series could end when said lead character somehow gets a ****load of money off Free Parking at the last second and uses it to turn the tides in the final battle, or whatever. There would action, drama, lots of over-the-top screaming and finger-pointing, and plenty of scenes to inspire truly awful shipping fanfics. Big business has never been more fun!

I would watch it. Well, one episode at least, for novelty value. Maybe.

Realistically though, I can't think of anything I'd seriously care about offhand.

ZELDA!

I know so many people want a Zelda movie, but I would 100 %ly perfer an anime. They could do it split up into several episodes, and we already know the style works because of the mangas. Link has dialogue in it as well, all they need is decent voice actors and the story has been added to.

If it was a real life movie, they would have to worry about decent budgeting for special effects, locations, ACTORS (who would portray LINK).

With an Anime, the work has already been done. They just need to take the mangas into cartoon form!

I know! For Zelda's stuff, there is a cartoon, but it sucks. I would love an anime that America WON'T ruin. Otherwise, No. I wouldn't watch it at all. I'd probably get into something like.... I dunno.... making my own or something.... I just need flash and baisic knowlege of it.

They've made a DMC anime already. I don't know how good it is though since I haven't seen it. Two of the main guys who worked on it came to NDK (Colorado's annual Anime con) last year and talked about it. Seemed interesting.

If I could pick a game to be made into an anime I would have to go with Tales of Symphonia. Heck, ToS is pretty much a playable anime already so why not a show? I know they've done an OAV of it but that wasn't released in the states and is pretty much impossible to find so that doesn't count. This may sound like sacrilege but I wouldn't mind seeing Chrono Trigger changed into an anime. The story in that game is amazing and massive, perfect for an anime. Speaking of Chrono Trigger, I really need to finish that game....

Ack misread the topic then, I've already seen 5 eps. of DMC. Anyway, videogame based animes usually aren't very good. So my verdict, please leave videogames alone anime people.

There was a 16 minute OAV released in 1996. Wasn't that good.

Golden Sun and Golden Sun: The Lost Age.

It'll be so awesome to actually hear the characters talk. Also, the GS stories are epic, along with the different Psynergy attacks and the cast of colourful characters. It would be so awesome to see it as an anime, and to see Isaac and/or Felix perform their Ragnarok attacks.
