Cameo Character?
Does anybody else think Rock Lee is just a cameo of Bruce Lee?
I don't watch much Naruto, but come on! Same hair? Really similar names?

Surely it's got nothing to do with the fact that Bruce Lee was used as a base for designing Rock Lee. That's just crazy talk there.

they are the same. In fact, bruce lees son is rock lee! It never actually shows you lees father in the series, that is because he is bruce lee! and died already.

yes hes a spitten image of him.(even tho i dont agree with the wording of the poll choice..) but yes, he was designed after him(it said it in some article in his book or shonen jump..)

Yes, Rock Lee resembles bruce lee and shares the same birthday of November 27. The main reason he is a taijutsu user only is because he is based on bruce lee, right down to the bowl haircut. His fighting style Iron fist, is probably based on Jeet Kune Do, the style that Bruce Lee invented.

Of course they based him off! His aspects and his "fists of fury" kill people. I hate Naruto, but at least they put a tribute to an amazing kung-fu master. If he were still alive, I wonder how well he'd use the Wii's Nunchucks?

Wouldn't be the first time some one has used a famous person for a character design. Sean Connery can appear up to ten times in a single episode of thunderbirds you know.
