Fruits Basket!

Fruits basket is so far my favorite Manga/Anime Series. I've only read to book 5 and watched up to 19 episodes.

I want to know how other people think of it. Like how you got into it? Who is your favorite character? Least favorite character? Heck, what year of the zodiac were you born in? Stuff like that.

I'm the year of the Dog. My favorite character is probably a tie between Hatori, Hatsuharu, and Momiji. My least favorite is Akito. I got into it by reading a little of book 7 (hehehe....) then I got intrested. Later i got book 1 and fell in love.

Yay. Love it. Went to a fruits basket party with a bunch of crazed high school girls and watched it, loved it.

I only know one person that has even heard about fruits basket! Someone please tell me more.

Well, I can hardly see how you can be such an obsessed Furuba fan when you haven't seen and read the entire thing... =\ But still, good to see a fellow fan.

Fruits Basket was one of my first mangas and most definitely one of my favorite. I've read it all, seen some of it, etc... Yeah, just an all around fan.

My favorite character is Kyo. He is the awesomest. Hatsuharu is my second favorite. Yup, yup.

When I first joined ZU, my first sig was a Furuba one, I have a couple of posters, and some other misc stuff. =]

Well now I finished watching the anime (*Bows down to YouTube*) and I've read up to thirteen in the series. I need to make up some money to buy the 14th and how many books are there anyway? I know that 15th one is coming to the US in December, but I'm curious

I've watched all the anime and read the Manga 1, 5, 6 & 7.

Oh my gosh! I like Fruits Basket too!! I read up to book 5 or 6, but I never saw it on tv. It didn't air where I come from. I was born the year of the sheep *baa* lol. Anyway, my favorite character is Momiji (spelling?), you know, the guy who can speak German and dressed like a girl. Yeah him. He's part of the reason that I'm learning how to speak German (Guten tag=hello, der junge=the boy, wande=wall, halt die schnauze=shut up!)

Yuki is a good character too. He's so nice to Tohru, and treats her with respect (Kyo called her stupid...or was it ugly?). Well either way, Tohru should be with Yuki. But I can't stand those girls on there that are against Tohru and whatnot.

The Prince Yuki Fanclub ticks me off...Why did Takaya-sensei have to add them in the manga!

About the Yuki, Kyo, and Tohru love triangle I think that she should end up with Kyo, If you read volume 14 you'll learn what Yuki really sees in Tohru. But it still is sweet on what he thinks about Tohru due to his family issues. Kyo seems to be a perfect match for Tohru though. *Dodges tomatoes from any Yuki + Tohru clubs*

So far I have read up to volume 14, I have to wait till december for volume 15 to come out in the US. *Begins to wait for volume 15*

I've read 131 chapters and watched the anime; I have anime collection box and 9 volumes and I'm eventually going to buy whole series, since it seems it will be 22-23 volumes. 131th chapter was possibly (?) the last chapter, at least it seemed to me.

Fruits Basket is the best shoujo I've read...even if it's very soap sometimes I still have enjoyed the development of their relationships and Takayas sense of humour.
I don't really have many to discuss with about Furuba my fellow fans in Finland said they're gonna kill me if I spoil anything from the end.

My favorite chara is Momiji, I used to like Kyo and Hatsuharu too but oh well, what can I say, Momiji beats them all~

Ahaha ^__^ no problem, I'm not so stupid I'd post spoilers in general anime, in this case Fruits Basket, discussion topic, I'd be just as mad if someone spoiled good anime from me or if I'd accidentally bump into topic that contains spoilers.

Yeah you can read up to volume 21 on www.thespectrum.net it's only a fan translation but it's good!!

I was born in the year of the Rat, same as Yuki. Right now, though, I'm older than he is in the books. [ I'm 22, turning 23 in feburary]
