DragonBall Z

Anyone like DBZ? its one of my favorite things other than zelda. i have all the budokai games and there awesome! i wish they still had it on tv though. i saw an ep. from garlic jr. tonight but i dont think toonami is consistent with dbz. plus toonami's only on saturday now. im in the middle of getting all the comics(english ones).

I don't like Dragon Z as it's like *CHARGE 3 EPISODES!* then release in one. Then whenever a character dies its that they switch to this filler. The actual original Dragon Ball was way better.

Karath, you take the words out my mound. The only cool thing about DBZ is that you can see how Goku becomes a grandfather, while he first was a child. You knew that if you should watch every episode from DB, to DBZ, to DBGT, you had to watch it 8 full (24 hours!!) days, and 12 hours. But DBZ (and especially DBGT) are not that good, their way to overhyped, and its like with every enemy they meet like: Wow, no he's way to strong, thats impossible, his powerlevel is over 22000000000000000 " and after 2000 episodes of discussing how strong he is, they of course finally defeat him, get a little vacation at kame house till another enemie comes that is 100000 times stronger then the previous enemy. It sucks. The originail Dragonball had a cool storyline, with better characters, and enemies, (Pilaf and of course Boss Rabit!) It still has that originail journey to the west-vibe that it used to be, and all the characters that are now complete weakling in DBZ still have a cool role: Like Krillin, Master Roshi, Mr Popo.. Yeah Dragonball rocked, I made a thread about it just 2 days ago, but there was not one single replie, so I thought nobody thought about Dragonball like me, but you apparently do - KaRath, so please take a look, it's too in the Anime\manga section

DBZ is great, compared to all the other crap around now-a-days.

I started watching DBZ before DB so I've always liked DBZ better. But your right on man! Ok, now you can't say that the saiyan and namek saga were bad. Bardock is killed by Frieza and he kills all the saiyans. He is the most powerful in the universe. Thats all there is to it. Then later on, Goku finds out that hes not a human from his brother Raditz. Goku is killed blah blah blah, Goku fights Vegeta and then more stuff happens. That was good. Then Goku goes and fights the ginyu force. That was a bit of a joke, but thats DBZ for you Then Goku fights frieza and that was pritty awesome. That was the final battle GOOD vs. EVIL. It should have ended there, but it was so popular that they made the Trunks/Andriod saga. Then that turned into the Cell saga. That turned into the saiyaman saga which was funny, then the world tournament, then the buu saga. Enough is enough, buu never died and it sort of became triring, but everyone still loved it.

Then fans loved it so much they made GT. That was duuuummmmb. That never ended. It was pointles. And followed no direct plot/twist storyline like DBZ Saiyan and Nanek saga did.

The Super saiyan was the ultimate being, it is unbeatable. Yet somehow a stupid man can create robots which are stronger. Then there are these shenron dudes which are about 1000 times more powerful than a super saiyan.


Also a very funny thing to remember. Frieza after all that, comes back. How stupid is that!
Such a great show ruined (not entirely though.

Should have ended with Frieza dying, (like he did, but magically with science he gets his body parts put back together) and earth and the rest of the universe living in peace forever and ever and Goku escaping and hopefully living. Or they should have at least put an extra scene where he lands back on earth or something.

But its still good that they extended DBZ dramatically just for the fun of it and the enjoyement. Its just that type of thing you know.

But seriously, I loved the Trunks movie. God that was good, music, everything. Even more awesome when you see high lights of him going back into the future.

i think GT wasnt as good as either DB or Z. there was too much talking and not enough action and suspense. DBZ kept me watching i liked all the big enrgy attacks. i never saw db until after i saw dbz, so i like dbz better.

I loved it ever since first grad it was the best can't get enough of it it's sweet fun and some one finally makes a thread about it my fave charecter is Yajorobi he's the best and fave action charecter has to be gotanks fave saga boo saga or freiza saga those were the coolest!

I still love dbz. My favorite saga was the cell saga. But then they made the GT and it went downhill from there. Before I moved I had CN on demand so I could watch DBZ when ever. It was pretty cool!

Ahhh...Dragon Ball Z holds a place dear in my heart...

I watched almost every episode of Z as a child, and I would anticipate it eagerly. Now, when I watch them, I see more and more how my mother would think that they are all constipated, but I will always love that series. The earlier Zs were the best. GT was just so...strange. I never saw much of DB, unfortunately.

Ah I used to watch DBZ when I was a whee boy. Good times it used to be something all the guys used to talk about when a new series was on cartoon network.

I am proberly the only person to of liked GT in my class at the time. I liked the humour aspect of the show more than the action.

I liked some DBZ sagas but not all. Some things i didn't like about DBZ was the way a single event would be spun out over 2-3 episodes, Like cell looking for android 18 and then it took him a whole 30 minutes+ for him to transform into perfect cell

Well you see, in DB it was mainly about comedy with some action thrown in, it was a great show, then DBZ came next, it was more on the action side,it was great too, then when DBGT was released they kept switching between trying to make it funny, and giving it enough action, the result was that some episodes were full of slapstick humor, some jokes (That not many people seemed to understand), and others were full to the brim with mindless action, but a few had the right mix. And I also saw DBZ before I had ever heard of DB.

I just hate the tv show! But I love the original manga.

Here are my reasons:
- The manga is the original. Everything is as Toriyama intended.
- The voice actors are horrible and they keep switching them all the time.
- The tv show wastes time in endless face zooming and showing goku charging power for 20 episodes.
- The manga never gets boring and it never wastes time in insignificant sidequests.
- The storylines that were made up for the tv show are stupid and annoying. None of that was in the manga. (half of the episodes of DBZ were like that)
- The animation is sometimes very cheap compared to quality anime.
- I could go on forever but I suggest that you all just watch this. I'm sure you agree that it's a very good caricature of the DBZ tv show. And it's guaranteed to make you laugh.
