IT's SOO GOOD!!! I've some how managed to get my hands on the whole series, and I love every episode up to 10 (Thats all I've seen so far!). The animation is supurb, and its about feudal Japan, with a fantasy twist, and OMG it is sooo good!! I can't really discribe it,
has any one else seen it? |

Re: Otogi Zoshi, one of the best new animes
Well done Semi-Dark Link, I rergret I cannot purchase it at the moment as I have to complete two other series (Burst Angel and Samurai seven) before buying anything else. As for sounds like Inuyasha...Madman.com.au will help you distinguish between the two.

Re: Otogi Zoshi, one of the best new animes
I can see what you mean, but when I looked it up, they are compleatly difrent, Otogi Zoshi, has quite alot of actual fact in it, for instance Heian Era, where there actualally was quite abit of famine and wars going on and the shows about Raiku or Hikaru Minamoto, which I'm pretty sure he/she did esiste, but I'm no expert on that period, although I do know the Minamoto famialy took power in 1199 when Yoritomo took power as the first shogun, in the Kamakura period, the period after the heian. (I did the Kamakura period...)
And the other difrance is is the animation, OMG, soo good, here is the site http://www.otogi-zoshi.com/about.html You can whatch the trailer if you don't belive me. Oh and I think it's a bit more serious. Thanks Fireball! |

Re: Otogi Zoshi, one of the best new animes
Sorry to double post...but...
IT'S MADE UP OF TWO MINI SERIES Okay, sounds like a very cliched plot... but the charaters all get reborn 2000years later, I admit that I like the first part of the series better, but the secound part is well abouve average, although I dislike the change of style in music (that crude soap opera jazz from the 70's *shudders*) But I still LOVE it to bits -and my friend says it's the best anime ever, and she has seen heaps! |
