Animal Crossing??

I don't know if anyone has posted this yet. As seen here, there's going to be an Animal Crossing show (or movie, I'm still stumped about it) coming eventually in December. Your thoughts on this?

A movie? So now we get to watch someone else talk to animals and read mail? Cool. I'm in. Seriously. Though I'm interested as to what the movie is going to contain...

How can Animal Crossing have a show/movie. It's like one of my favorite games of all time but...... there's not reallly a point to it,,,, that's like making "SimCity: The Movie"

This is the first I've heard of it. I'm interested because I'd like to know what the heck they would put in it.

Wow. All I can say is... Wow. But no, it wouldn't be like making "SimCity: The Movie", it would be like making "Sims: The Movie". Watching a bunch of little people be manipulated by the hand of... Well... The player. I don't know how it will work. Maybe, it will be like a little human kid moves off to Animal Crossing, and all the animals are racist against the kid, and in the end, they get past their differences, blah blah, everyone's happy. I don't see how it could make a good movie... Best to give the benefit of the doubt, though.

How they tend on making an entire movie based on Animal Crossing is beyond me. I suppose anythings possible...

Making an Animal Crossing animated movie is more possible than some of you might believe. The Japanese are capable of making awesome things out of what seems to be a boring concept; like Cromartie Highschool. An animated series would better suit it, but a movie is good. If it doesn't come to the states, I'm importing.

The Animal Crossing games have always had the little babbling people, some I'm interested in the actual voices...and how this is going ot have a story-line other than paying off your house. 0_o I agree with Earth, but I still have a feeling this is going to be very difficult. >.>

It will be interesting to see how this movie will play out. Maybe Tormentor had a heart-attack, and wants you to be mayor. LoL!

I was thinking a television show would be more approriate, every week the new character in town has to deal with relationships and having little adventures while doing work for the other inhabitants. Constantly the character has to deal with people moving in or out and the ever present loan. But as a movie, Mr. Spork told me the other day possible the human moves into town and at first the animals don't like him ('cause he's human duh). Through his deeds and with help from nook the town grow to accept him until he is a vital part of the community.

Don't know if this has been posted, but there's a scan from a magazine that has stuff about the Animal Crossing movie in it.

Is it sure its a movie? Cause I think a show fits it better, I think its gonna be something like calimero with the men-boy having " Adventures " all day that dont come further then getting medicine for sick villians, and chasing fox-thiefs that robbed Nookingtons. And after he find him, he will tell him stealing is wrong, I would love to see what's it, but Im pretty sure Im not gonna watch it every day. And Im even more sure its not even gonna released in here, so what am I even wondering about. Question: Are there any screenshots or something like that?

Well, a teaser trailer came out. I thought it was going to be computer animated. Still looks pretty interesting. Here's the main site. They're both in japanese though.

I was just about to post that teaser trailer. Looks interesting. The style looks pretty cool. I wonder if it will make it to Western territories.
