Azumanga Daioh

Has anyone heard of this show or has read the manga? I thinks it's a pretty good anime to watch for a few laughs. It might seem like a show for girls, but really, everyone should give it a chance.

There really isn't any series long plot in it. It just focuses on a group of high school girls living in their everyday life. The main character is a 10 year old genius girl name Chiyo. Go to Youtube to watch a few episode pieces. I'd say the funniest characters are Tomo, Osaka, and Chiyo.

Really just give the show a chance. I think it's pretty good personally.

Yes, it's hilarious. It's mainly got a stupid pointless type of humor however.

I LOVE Azumanga! I've seen all the episodes, but I think I missed some parts in the manga, due to reading the volumes in the store.
Anyway, this is the type of anime I think could appeal to anyone who is and/or knows someone who acts crazy. Some of the stuff in this is stupid, but it's one of the few shows that's had me laughing out loud. This is one of the best anime I've ever seen. ^_^

Haha, I've got the first DVD. Hilarious. Chiyo-chan's pigtails and Osaka's doey-ness never cease to make me giggle. Kimura-sensei takes the cake for just plain funny-ness though. My favourite episode is the one where he features (maybe episode 3 or 4 I think?).

Azumanga Daioh is pure awsome. I have seen all the episodes and I loved it. All the characters are funny in their own way, espically Tomo chan with her overall stupid behavior.

I really didn't like it at all! I like a good zany comedy anime (Abenobashi Shopping Arcade and Jubei Chan being my favourites) but this was just plain awful. It may have something to do with the hype it had when it first came out, I mean absolutely everyone was talking about it and cosplaying as a character from it and that may have altered my opinions a little, but like with Excel Saga, it was too zany without any real purpose!

That show is hilarious! It is one of the best stupidfunny shows ever!

Chiyo-Chichi/Dad is easily the greatest character, despiteonly appearing very infrequently.

I mean, who couldn't love a talking Yellow Cat that can fly, change colour and harbour a love-hate relationship with the colour red?

Oh! And he is also Santa Claus.

I find almost ll animes very complex in storylines and characters and such, so to find an easy-going manga and anime, with no purpose other than to be random is awesome!

Chiyo-Chan is just cute, and when she flies with her pig tails, I crack up laughing everytime.

Brilliant show, I was upset when it ended.

This anime is absolutely hilarious, I don't really like this knid of anime but someone turned me onto the series and I really liked it. Everyone who likes comedic anime should check it out, it's a good story and all the girls have individual quirks that make them amusing to watch.
