Fruits Basket

Sooooooo, what do we think of Fruits Basket? You know, the one with the girl who finds the Shoma family, the family that's cursed? Well, have any favs., maybe who you hate the most? You can post all of that here! Include a reason too, so that way people know why you like/ hate that person!!

Hmm, my most hated character is Ayame. *Eye twitches* He's so confident and sure of himself it drives me nuts!

My favorite character would be Yuki Sohma because A: he has to put up with his big brother, Ayame. and B: he's mysterious and very kind.

So so, 6/10. I could hardly stand that Akito and everytime i saw her i wanted to strangle her. Lisping sadistic freak...

Don't you mean him?! Funny thing you should mention the lisping voice, I believe it's the only character that seiyuu ever did in an anime!!

I love Fruits Basket, both the anime and the manga.
My favourite characters in the anime are Kyo and Haru and in the manga Yuki and Kyo.
If I was to sum up their characters it'd be like this: I'd have a mad passionate affair with Kyo or Haru and marry Yuki That's just how they come across to me!!

Cool! I noticed I spelled Sohma wrong...O_o But, I would have to say that Haru & Kisa is my fav. Kisa& I are kinda alike, plus Haru is a kind guy, I like kind guys. The one I hate the most is Momiji's mom. His mom didn't love Momiji, or give him a chance!!

My favorite character is Kyo, and I also like Yuki, Momiji, Ayame and Mine.

Tohru is alright, but her constant optimisim is annoying. It's like, STOP BEING SO FRICKIN' HAPPY! And also her "Oooh, naked people are icky! I won't look!" It's like she thinks she's the second coming of the Virgin Mary, or something.

I can understand her in a way. She gives birth to a beautiful baby boy and the first thing all mothers want to do is hug their new baby, but of course as soon as she does he turns in a rabbit. Imagine if you will not the cute bunnie that Momiji is, but if it were real life it would just be a fluffy rabbit that munches carrots!! Imagine how horrified she must have been when that happened for the first time.
It's not as though she didn't try either. Momiji was a small child before her memory was erased and I guess those years of trying to cope were just too much for her to handle.

If you think back to all the mothers, they each react differently; Momiji's tries but can't cope. Kisa's overcompensates and almost smothers Kisa. Yuki's is a bit of a tyrant and wants him to do as he's told and makes decisions for him (she wants to ingraciate herself with Akito) etc. I don't think we know much about the others mothers (or at least not in the anime and not up to vol. 13 of the manga). It's just human nature I guess.

What? But I thought only non-family members would turn a Sohma into an animal. Kagura can hug Kyo, and Momiji and his mom are more closely related...

Well, that's because Momiji's mom is a Sohma now, but she's wasn't untill she got married. Plus she's a female, & Momiji's a male. That's why Momiji turns into a rabbit, even if his mom hugged him.

my sis likes the horse cause shes a horse and the horse likes the bull which she likes and it gets very long and confusing what book are you guys on im on 8 9 or 10 i cant remeber but i think its very good and funny sometimes also

Actually, only members of the zodiac can hug without turning into their zodiac forms.

I finished all the volumes that came out. The horse's name is Rin, & the bull is a cow, named Haru. Did this help in anyway?

yeah now i remeber i had to steal it from my sis to read it thanks how many have come out im on 10 right now i got to remeber rin and haru

yeah wolf goddess sorry for being mean to you at the funny shows theard but anime isnt stupid its quite funny

my sis loves wolfs to!! you guys could have one talk about wolfs for hours!! HA HA that would be funny

Oh. I guess Kyo wishes it wasn't so, Kagura is clearly a sociopath.

Even though Fruits Baskets isn't my type of manga/anime (I like the fighting manga/anime), but this anime/manga got to me. My favorite characters are Honda (she's nice to everyone, and she is completely clueless the entire time), the Sohma hotel keeper person (she acts creepy and she acts like a zombie which is really funny), and Shigure because... I forgot why.
