I've seen advertisements for Code Geass on CN network. Looks like a modern version of Gundam Wing and Seed at first glance but I have not seen an ep yet.

Haven't seen Gundam Wing and such so I really can't say they are not a like.

This is all pretty much explained within the first couple episodes. So no real big spoilers pretaining to the series itself.

its about an Empire called Britannia and how they control the majority of the world. A young Prince named Lelouch gives up his title and everything after his Mother is killed and sister blinded and crippled. He is angry that his father, the Emperor of Britannia has done nothing about it.

Now he lives in Area 11(formelly known as Japan) Japan was conquered by Britannia in 1 month using what is called 'Knightmare Frames' Which is probably why you thought it looked like Gundam Wing.

Now Japan was stript of its heritage, its customs, even their name and are called 'Elevens' Terrorists have tried to fight back.

But after Lelouch recieves the power of Gease he goes around as Zero, the terrorist leader of the Order of the Black Knights in an attempt to get revenge for his mother and form a peaceful world for his sister.

Just a broad overlook. Its a really great anime.

I always thought that Death Note was my favourite anime, but then I just started watching about six episodes of Fate/Stay Night and it's magic incredible. I luff it. I guess I'm just more into the more obvious side of magic. Death Note isn't 'realistic' per se, but it is certainly swaying in that direction. Fate/Stay Night's totally off its rocker (GAH DEATH NOTE THEME TUNE) and some of the characters are just fantastic.

In anime I was always a fan of Dragonball Z, and I still think it's good, and Inuyasha because it always made me uncomfertable (don't ask me why I like that.) In Manga like Gintama because it's so damn funny, I also like Inuyasha manga 'cuz it's essentially the anime.
