Re: Favourite Anime/Manga

One of my favorite anime series is Fate/Stay Night. The last episode was released last week, which was number 24. It's mainly about seven magicians who summon a servant to fight in the Holy Grail War. The battle scenes, as scarce as they may be, are both epic and detailed. Each servant is based on a legendary hero, such as King Arthur. I'll leave you guessing as to who Saber is, but I can tell you that Lancer is Cu Chulainn, a legend from Irish Mythology who uses a spear called, "Gae Bolg". Some of you may have heard of the weapon before from games such as Final Fantasy Tactics Advance or some other midevil weaponry based game. The accuracy of the legends that the servants are based on is incredible. The story writers certainly did their homework on those legends.

The rest of my favorites are probably Full Metal Alchemist and Bleach. I know, not much, but I haven't been an avid anime watcher until about a year ago.

My favorite manga at the moment is Death Note. From the manga, there's this book called a Death Note which Shinigamis (Death Gods, same name as the one from Bleach, completely different concept) use to kill humans. Obviously, the job of the Shinigami is to shorten the life of a human (Although, I do not know if that power has been used wrecklessly by a Shinigami). They have to write the name of the person whom they wish to kill in the Death Note, and if they want, the way that the human dies. The human will die 40 seconds later. A Shinigami named Ryuuku dropped his Death Note in the human world as an experiment. A straight-A student named Raito Yamagi picks it up, and I'll keep you guessing from there. What makes it so interesting to me, is that after the somewhat slow start, it becomes a battle of thinking. I probably worded it in a way that sounded quite uninteresting, but you should see for yourself what I mean.

Re: Favourite Anime/Manga

Well, I've only seen three anime's in total, all the episodes, that including Advent Children XD So that would actually be two anime's, Card Captor Sakura and Full Metal Alchemist, and to be honest, they're both the best anime's I've ever seen. Again the storylines are awesome, and everything fitted in perfectly; the characters were all great, and, yeah, basically, they were incredible. My favourites

I'm not into Manga too much, so I guess I can't really say I have a favourite...

Dragonball is my best manga experience I had over my time with Anime and Manga. It's just a fun and action packed adventure through the whole three series.

Well this was hardly descriptive. *sighs at his previous short-posting self*

I like Get Backers a lot because it's filled with tons of action. Also, it's characters are really intersting and unpredictable. The endless amount of powers/abilities everyone has always keeps me interested.

As for Sayuki, I haven't really read/watched much of it, so I'll take it off the list.

...and Chrono Crusade. Well, CC has an amazing storyline. The villians are so interesting and the main heroes approach them in the coolest ways. Also, it's a weird set-up, a nun with a demon-friend in which she let's borrow her soul's energy. Just plain intriguing, especially when her brother's a demon as well and she tries to get him back...well you get it.

Re: Favourite Anime/Manga

My top 3 favorite animes:

Get backers- it's a pretty good show with alot of action packed battles, the plot of the story is a little deranged, but eventually you understand it. Also the opening theme is great everytime I watch I seem to always hum it.

FMA- This is actually self-explanatory, but I'll explain anyway. I like Edward Elric's character it's very courageous, outgoing, and tough. Every once in a while he will make me laugh seeing as how alot of people call him short and he gets really pissed off, it's quite comical. The fact that they follow the rules give something up to get something back in return makes the series interesting. And whats really cool about this is the alchemy powers Ed and Alphonse posses, to manipulate objects of their own using. And finally because of that addicting opening theme Ready Steady Go!

YU-YU Hakusho(sp)- This anime is probably my most favorite anime off all. Real great stuff, intense battle scenery, sweet battle music. It's awsome But I prefer the Jap. version if I'm going to watch, the American version is quite dubbed.
Anyway my favorite character is Yuskae Urameshi, his character is real cool, cocky tough guy, who can really back up his opinion. I like his Rei gun, or in America called Spirit gun. And interesting plot nonetheless.

My 3 favorite manga:

Naruto- Defiantly I so like the manga better than the anime on Toonami. In my opinion theirs to much blood edits, if they have some blood they might as well show it more often.
Once I saw Naruto saying "believe it" that just turned me off, and I'm sure quite a number of agree thats a gay catch phrase. They may have said "believe it" in the manga I don't know I haven't payed much attention to the Manga that much, but the fact that it wasn't edited made up for it.

Death note- Really cool manga good creativity, shows originality. Too me it felt like some kind of suicidal books at first. Really interesting plot too. I've only read one volume, and immediately it was appealing.

Rurouni Kenshin- Wow this a really good manga it's such a success, I have volumes 1-9, and I'm still asking for more. Thats reason enough.

Re: Favourite Anime/Manga

Anime: Fruits Basket
Manga: Naruto.

Man, Naruto is so popular. But I read the Furits basket Manga too, but sometimes, the anime of it is better than the manga. Ultimately, the anime of it is funnier. But I don't really like the anime for Naruto. It's one of the animes that I like to call "Stiff Anime". In Stiff Anime shows, people will say something, then another will say something like "exactly." and then the exact same they're talking about over again, so you think, "get on with it!" And where nothing happens for a while, and where certain things that were cool in the manga turn out to seem really lame in the anime. I hate those kind of anime. Unfortunately, the two episodes of the Naruto anime that I saw were like that, so I kept to the manga.

Re: Favourite Anime/Manga

Um... Fushigi Yugi all the way. The beginning isn't my favorite, but the ending half is AWESOME. I also like Yu Yu Hakusho, that's good too. Those are really the only Animes I've watched... oh yeah, Wolf's Rain when it was on Adult Swim. I've seen Ayashi no Ceres but the manga is better. And right now I'm watching .hack with my friend.
