magnetic healing rings

Well im new to this board, but would like to know what you think about this site. Now I know this sounds crazy but just check out his site. Its kinda hard to find things on it but look around and click on everything. He talks about lots of topics such as even curing aids using magnetic frequencies. This is kinda similar to those magnetic bracelets if any of you have heard of it. Anyway dont get me wrong im not advertising for him since I have never tried it, I just wanted to know what you all think. Also as a sidenote he has a patent and he tells you how to make the ring if u dont have money to buy it. Maybe its for real.

Re: magnetic healing rings

Seen this, The idea so so stupid... If his idea's are correct then all the blood in your body would collect where you wore the rings, granting death. Also, Death due to old age is probably caused due to incorrect Genetic info. (It's a bit more complex then that, but it doesn't really matter.) Not blood flow. There is a very good reason that T.V. and Radio won't allow him to advertise it, it's a huge scam.

Re: magnetic healing rings

Actually im asuming you dont know very much about magnetic fields, but each of our cells have a positive and negative side(learned that in chemistry). So his idea is that if one ring acts as a pushing force the other other will be the attracting force therefore creating a uniform magnetized state for your body. Thats why you wear two rings so its very possible that it could work. Also as a sidenote our hearts have small electromagnetic fields of their own.

To be brutally honest, that is the dumbest thing I have ever seen.

Ah, so he changed hte idea, now all your blood gets pressed into the middle of your body, killing you. why not? It's being pushed away from both sides. Besides, as I said above, Blood flow has nothing to do with natural death, so even if they did work, they wouldn't make you live even an hour longer.

Um... you know what I really dont know what would happen, but since a lot of people have tried them as well as magnetic bracelets etc... and havent died im gonna assume using magnetic healing wont kill you.

Re: magnetic healing rings

It probably won't heal you either. That looks like one big Hoax if you ask me and who in their right mind would wear that on their feet while they sleep?

Re: magnetic healing rings

You can wear the rings on your hands. Its the foot brace you weear on feet. Oh yeah NASA used a magnetic healing system in 1980s. I wonder if its still used.

You only have his word that millions of people are using them, that and a few paragraphs he could ahve typed up himself along with a voice recording, that isn't much evidence. Also, NASA doesn't use magnetic healing anymore, want to know why? It doesn't work, its a placebo. Just stay away from these...

Here's the thing though; The body's magnetic field isn't such a trivial thing. Our bodies are made of 90% water, but that doesn't make being constantly submersed in water any more healthy or theraputic than not. It's really silly false correlation to suggest that simply because one thing is magnetic, and another thing is magnetic, that putting the two side-by-side in any particular manner will lead to greater health.

I mean, on that note, how do you know that the magnets of Chiu's rings aren't, in fact, harmful? Perhaps disrupting the brain's normal processing and doing really nasty things to one's frontal lobes? Or is this like the lottery, and you automatically assume that everything's going to work out in the end toward your benefit?

Alex Chiu has absolutely no proof that his devices actually work. It's based in false correlation, as noted above. Similar devices, such as the QRay bracelets, have been subject to FTC investigation in the past due to false claims and clinical trials suggesting that the impact of such devices is entirely psychological; People THINK they're doing something special because they're cold and uncomfortable to wear, along with the aforementioned false correlation. He has never subjected his own products to controlled trials to verify that they truly work, citing lack of proper funding. Instead he falls back on "testimonials"... the lifeblood of quack products, since they have no statistic merit, and are impossible to validate. Y'know his claim that they make you immortal? His only evidence for that is that he personally believes they do, with no scientific evidence whatsoever.

Of course, what do I know? Maybe his rings really work, through some bizarre magical means. Anyone that's willing to spend money on them, though, I have a time-share in Florida that'll cost you far less. Guaranteed to extend your life by as much as Chiu's rings.
