Okay, I rarely advertise a web site, but this one needs help. I know that at least a few of you know about
Xero Gaming. Heck, some of you are ever subscribed there. However, don't let that deter you. There are plenty of non-ZUers there.
Basically, what
Xero Gaming is is a message board and portal run by many people you know, such as Remus, Japas, Droshi, and Hasaki. What it has to offer is not only a good message board with a good community, it also is (or will be, things are still being tweaked) a portal. In other words, you can submit content to the site and it will be posted in a special section on the forums. This way, you can post up news, wallpapers you've made, reviews that you've written, walkthroughs, screenshots, videos, etc.. I'd like to emphasise, however, that this is a fan-based site. We don't want stuff that you've copied and pasted from other places.
Xero Gaming wants to be a place that you come to for the community as well as the content. If you see the stuff at a million other web sites, then what's the point in coming to
Xero for it? That's the attraction - the stuff is, for the most part, exclusive.
However, the community has hit a major dry spell, and we've gone down from perhaps seventy to a hundred active members to just around twenty. We're getting some new people joining up just naturally, but it isn't enough. That's why we need your help to rebuild the community to what it once was, and beyond. This is one of the bigger message boards to advertise on, so I feel that at least some of you people will take what I say into account and join up.
Even better a reason to join is if you have some content lying around and you don't know what to do with it.
Xero Gaming prides itself on being exclusive, so if you have a wallpaper, review, editorial, anything that's lying around and you haven't put up anywhere else (or at least not on a big web site) then hand it in! That way, people can see it as well as post their thoughts on it so you can improve on what you do in the future. And remember, even if you don't have something lying around, you can always make something. Do you know every secret that there is about a game? Why not write a cheat guide? Can you pull off some crazy stunts or speed through a game in record time? Why not make a video of it (assuming you can)? Virtually anything games-related goes. It's all up to you on what you want to submit.
As you can see, I've posted numerous links around the article, and if you haven't clicked on one, then you really should click either
here, here, or even perhaps
here if you are feeling so bold.
Xero Gaming. Who knows, you may just learn something.
