Zelda Fan-Game Recruiting (with working demo!)

Project_Nayru is recruiting! Right now we don't have too many members after a recent dead period, but we are still running!

And now to the part that probably caught your eye...
Our demo! It isn't anything too flashy, but its main goal was more to show everyone that we havn't been sitting on our rears' and talking big.

The demo is created by Gamemaker 7.0 (Lite version)

Like I said, nothing too flashy. It just has a recolored TMC Link walking around over grass and some dirt. The arrow keys are used to move Link around.

You can either post here, email me, or PM me with any questions. Please help us out as we are short-handed on the team. Any kind of help would be greatly appreciated.

What system ru using? is it rpgmaker xp or vx 2k,2k3? If so do you have an ABS? Mapper? spriter?

That demo was made with Gamemaker 7. The free edition, so it couldn't do anything real special. Now I have gamemaker 6.1 pro. It is a backtrack in version (I don't have some nice tools that are there in GM 7) but it can do more actions that the Lite version couldn't.

Yeah, there are bugs. I am working on a different way of coding the movement with as little graphics bugs as possible.

So far, I believe I am the only mapper on my team. We have a spriter or two, but we are shorthanded. If anyone would like to help us out with this project, you are very welcome to check out the forums at the big yellow link in my sig.

Your using gamemaker, theres a free edition? or are you using an illegal version.

its pretty nice especially when he does the moon walk...

Game Maker Lite is free. Game Maker Pro costs 20$, and it can do fancier stuff.

I'm sorry, but this is horrible. You didn't even bother trying to fix the walking sprite glitch. Put some effort into it, or don't bother.

Rmxp.org has a lot of fangames and games made by other people they are really good ones too. I am in the process of a game as well. Good luck.

Uh, dude, have you ever tried making a game from scratch? apparently not. You don't just all of a sudden have a game, you have to test it, test it, then test it more. These guys are putting some effort into it. Please don't go around talking like you work at Nintendo studios.

I think I would like to help, I have the gamemaker 7 freeware, and I am pretty tickled at what it can do. It is fun to play around with.

I too wish to help, I used game maker many a moon and downloaded 7 the in the frist hour you could from their wepsight (I just checked randomly and...)

Yes I have. And no, it's not easy. I'm just saying, I could have thrown this together in ten minutes. If there is a major problem, the first thing you should do is fix it. But he released a demo before fixing one of the biggest glitches you can have when making a Zelda fan game. Fix it, or don't bother. Really.

I'm trying to make a fan-game too. And I have been trying out endless walking styles to fix that glitch. I think I have it, too. Just, please, fix the glitch before making a demo.

Now, I know I sound rude, but I'm telling the truth. I wish you luck, really, just... try and fix things when they come up, instead of ignoring them.

I don't have a domain (yet). The team had a site, but we lost the password. Actually, an ex-member of the team left with the password.

You know, if you're recruiting, it'd be best to actually elaborate what specific skills you're looking for. (programming, sprites, sound design, graphics, etc...)
