Well as most people know by now, the forum Gaia is hitting people hard here......and for a few days now some of us really have no place to go because our hangout place was deleted. What is this Gaia thing, and why is it so addictive?

it's a very spammy forums. Basically, you get an avatar when you join and by posting, voting in polls and just browsing the boards you get gold. The gold can be spent on clothes for your avatar. It's extremely spammy, and quite addictive.
