Layout Advice

Hi,

I used to be into web design/gfx design and am thinking of getting back into it. I made up a layout and would like some honest opinions and some advice, I can take tough critiques. Thanks guys.

Re: Layout Advice

Well, heres your first critique.

In the banner at the top, the monster in the midle looks a bit out of place. And the guy from Metal Gear and the guy from Gears of War look kind of the same. I would tint one, to show they are from different games. Like tint the Gears of War guy a dark, dry blue. Like in the trailer.

Re: Layout Advice

The banner looks decent to me. The text you use all over the place doesn't. Something about it looks odd. Also, try not to outline or give things a black border unless you use a really dark color. The border does define the sections, but too well, try a darker grey or maybe even a gradiented image.
